After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2132: Chapter 2136: Xiao Bai’s Beautiful Rice Dumpling

If she weren’t worried that this ”ROY” would do something outlandish in front of all these people, Xu Xia would have kicked him away long ago.

Leng Zirui glanced at her and immediately understood her thoughts. Without another word, he wrapped her hand, along with the bracelet and ring held in her palm, in gauze.

Soon, her injured hand was bandaged into a pretty little white bundle.

The sound of hurried footsteps approached, and this time, Ah Jiu and Ah Sang rushed in with others. Squeezing into the crowd, they saw Xu Xia half-leaning on the large sofa, with Leng Zirui crouched beside her, tending to the scrapes on her foot.

A number of police officers around them held their guns, aiming at Leng Zirui.

Gazing at the man focused on treating Xu Xia’s wound, Ah Jiu and Ah Sang both had a flicker of darkness in their eyes.

Among those present, only the two of them knew the truth, and neither of them fully understood Leng Zirui’s feelings at this moment.

”Miss Xu!”

Xiao Jie stepped out of the elevator, squeezing into the crowd. Seeing Xu Xia ”held hostage” by Leng Zirui, he exclaimed and rushed forward.

”Xiao Jie!” Ah Jiu and Ah Sang hurriedly stopped him, ”Don’t act rashly.”

Hearing their voices, Xu Xia raised her face and felt at ease upon seeing Ah Jiu and Ah Sang; with them here, she was safe.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Xu Xia suddenly kicked Leng Zirui away, exerted her strength to jump off the sofa, and rushed towards Ah Jiu. She didn’t bother picking up Shangguan Feng’s coat that fell off her onto the sofa.

Hiding behind Ah Jiu, Xu Xia raised her hand to point at Leng Zirui and shouted loudly in English, ”Quick, catch him, he’s trying to abduct me!”

The officers, unfamiliar with Leng Zirui, would not take kindly to a man causing such a disturbance here, and they quickly raised their guns to aim at Leng Zirui.

”Raise your hands, keep them on your head.”

”Otherwise, we’ll shoot!”

...

Standing up from the floor, Leng Zirui looked at Xu Xia hiding behind Ah Jiu, smiling faintly.

”Honey, where are you going?!”

As he spoke, his gaze fleetingly met Ah Jiu’s.

Ah Jiu understood and immediately held Xu Xia’s arm, draping his coat over her, ”Miss Xu, shall we head back first?!”

Xiao Jie wanted to say more, but Ah Sang had already grabbed his arm, ”We’ll talk back there.”

Shooting a glare at ROY, Xiao Jie turned and, along with the others, escorted Xu Xia out of the crowd.

”Miss Xu!” Shangguan Feng hastily brought her fallen handbag.

”Thank you.” Xu Xia accepted the handbag, ”Ah Jiu, it was Mr. Shangguan who rescued me just now.”

Ah Jiu scrutinized Shangguan Feng with suspicion about his motives and identity, yet his face maintained a polite smile as he extended his hand, ”Thank you very much for your help.”

Shangguan Feng smiled gracefully, ”No need to thank, Miss Xu is injured, please go back and rest, I’ll handle things here.”

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Ah Jiu promptly led Xu Xia and the others out of the police station and into the car outside.

”I must kill that ROY!” Xiao Jie said through gritted teeth.

”No more nonsense!” Ah Jiu immediately reprimanded, ”Xiao Jie, listen to me carefully, you are not to get involved in this matter, understand?!”

Unwillingly, Xiao Jie spoke, ”But he did to Miss Xu...”

”Shut up!” Ah Jiu said in a deep tone, ”No buts.”
