High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2928: Chapter 1147: The Order About to Change

Cloud Sea World.

There is no longer any cloud.

The rumbling sound was like a roaring flood, echoing across the cracked sky, continuous and unending. But it was not thunder; it was the explosive roar generated by objects colliding at high speed.

Crack!

Another extremely fine line sliced across the sky, pausing in front of a tall mountain.

Bam!

The entire mountain soared into the air, like a striking meteor, and crashed heavily backward. The breath between heaven and earth was dragged by His massive body, rolling violently, rubbing against the fractured space, emitting a sharp, ear-piercing wail, as if countless iron wires scraped across glass.

Leviathan stood in the void, holding a large hammer, overlooking the earth.

Again, the fifth and sixth arms grew from Taiyi’s sides, struggling to lift himself, to avoid a disgraceful fall.

——People always give up when they should persist a little longer.

This thought surfaced in Zheng Qing’s mind, hazy from another blow by Leviathan’s hammer. It seemed like long ago, when he learned talisman painting, his teacher had once told him this.

——Whenever you want to give up, think about your original intention... and try a little harder.

Original intention, what was his original intention?

Being hit back and forth like a sandbag?

Bam!

As if echoing this thought, similar collision sounds also came from outside the altar. The delicate young man curled into a ball, swiftly passing through the white mist. The slowly flowing mist within the stone cave was shattered by him, unable to calm for a long time.

The green wyrm embodying R’lyeh cheered, flicking its tail, suddenly disappearing from its place, and then reappearing where Leviathan’s embodiment was about to land, lowering its head and forcefully propelling downwards.

Boom!

The ’Leviathan Ball’ slammed heavily on the bluestone slab, causing the Altar Wall Formation to creak under the strain.

”Ah, sorry, sorry!”

Playfully, the green wyrm insincerely apologized to the stone cave’s master. Seeing the delicate young man climb up again, it immediately cast its apologies to the winds, shouted once, and dashed forward.

Even to enhance playability, He shrunk His form a bit to artificially create greater space for maneuver.

Whoosh!

The young wizard on the altar exhaled melancholically.

I’ve never seen such dual-front combat.

On the outer front, Taiyi wielded Two charm guns, a pocket watch, and a Law book while being violently hit by Leviathan wielding a hammer; on the inner front, Leviathan wielding a hammer was in turn being pummeled by the green wyrm incarnating R’lyeh.

The circulation of Yin Yang shouldn’t be expressed like this!

...

...

Buji Island.

The top of the First University’s Astronomical Tower.

The vast terrace was dead silent.

The gaze of two Great Wizards simultaneously landed on the leader of the Divination Group, full of surprise and unease, even with a hint of indescribable fear.

What does it mean not having seen the real principal for so long?

As the strongest in the Alliance, no, the entire Wizard World, does the principal need to report to anyone where he wants to go or what he wants to do?

Crack, crack.

The Cao Herb sticks on the ground seemed frightened by the diviner’s rebellious guess, breaking into two voluntarily, seemingly to dissociate, drawing a line between themselves and the diviner.

Professor Yi still carried that inscrutable quirky expression, rubbed his wrist, hammered his calf, and exerted effort to climb from the ground, his joints emitting ominous cracking sounds.

Then, he lifted his head, looking at the sky woven red and black.

It seemed the conclusion just now inspired him further: ”——More and more Great Wizards, more and more legends, many are speculating if this world is entering a great era. But very few inquire why such an era is descending... Long life hasn’t brought forth farsight, instead, more people are more focused on immediate gains and losses... No wonder, no wonder, no wonder this matter holds a few peculiar feelings from inside to outside. I originally thought it was the Catastrophe from the time of Edge Academy’s establishment but never imagined it is the crisis of the entire First University.”

Indeed, the crisis of the First University.

As the power core of the Alliance, the First University possesses resources coveted by the entire Wizard World—massive new world reserves, abundant magical knowledge, considerable talent scale, and countless unspecified magical laboratories, and so forth—all built upon the premise that the school’s principal is the strongest in the world.

If the school loses the premise of ’strongest protection,’ relying only on several legends, a few forbidden curses, or possibly a few ancient beings, can it survive amid the jungle besieged by wolves, is an unknown.

Just like now, the vast majority of coveters are still watching coldly, only letting a few newly advanced legends lead the way, leaving the school quite overwhelmed.

Then, what if more legends come, even a few ancient beings?

Although Ferna was already quite old, he was still frightened by the Divination Team Leader’s speculation, coughed nervously twice, looking for help toward another old friend.

”It won’t be so bad, right?” He laughed awkwardly, twisting the long Magic Wand in his hand, regretting coming to the Astronomical Tower: ”The world is only that big, legends are countable. Even if some newly advance, act immaturely, others wouldn’t stand by and watch them disturb the normal order, right?”

”Order?”

Professor Yi’s laughter was somewhat sharp: ”What is order? To Low-level Wizards, the attitude of high-level wizards is order. To the Alliance or the entire Wizard World, the consensus of high-level wizards is order. To all living nature, survival of the fittest is order. All order relies on a certain durable and stable structure... But if the components of this structure change, how can the order established upon it not change?”

The terrace was very empty.

The wind on the terrace was not small.

But Professor Yi’s slightly high-pitched voice was firmly locked in this small piece of heaven and earth, not a single word leaked out. On the contrary, as his words continued, clusters of blue flames appeared one after another on this terrace.

One after the other, Great Wizards rushed over, the deans and vice-deans of Starry Sky Academy and Atlas Academy, the deputy director of the School Works Committee, directors from the Research Institute, several heads of key laboratories, until finally, even black-robed ones wearing badges from relevant departments appeared in the crowd, totaling nearly thirty Great Wizards.

This scale of a Great Wizard gathering within the Alliance could host a non-official Great Wizard Conference. But at this moment, people had no mind for pleasantries; everyone was full of worries, anxiously accepting the diviner’s prophecy.
