Chapter 2919: Chapter 1138: As Long As You Don’t Hit, It’s No Big Deal

Crack... crack!

Taiyi’s fingers passed through the glass case, landed on the clock hand, and pressed down on time. Inside, the magic power mixed with the curse power poured forth like floodwaters, rushing into the silver watch, causing the moonlight to stop flowing, the Cloud Sea to cease its motion, while far off on the other side of the world, Primordial slightly opened its mouth as if to say something, but the expression on Its face froze at that moment, making the entire world feel like a giant Amber, sticking everything in place.

For those who are truly legendary, a spell like time pause, although troublesome, doesn’t completely freeze them. However, neither ’Primordial’ nor ’Taiyi’ is truly legendary. They are more like legendary figures from the fringe, so the effect of this orthodox spell was quite astonishing.

Furthermore, Zheng Qing was pleasantly surprised to find that after pressing the clock hand this time, even though the curse power continued to drain, it didn’t feel as though he was completely drained like during the Battle of the Black Prison.

In other words, he could maintain the effect of this spell for a longer time.

But this joy only lasted for a moment.

Creak—

The whole Cloud Sea World emitted a groan under strain.

Zheng Qing suddenly realized that although he could maintain the time pause, the foundation of this world was insufficient to withstand the backlash of the cosmos and the river of time. If paused for too long, it might be the Cloud Sea World that collapses first. The Alliance restricts Wizards from recklessly experimenting and using high-level magic because of the great harm they cause to the world.

However, for Zheng Qing now, a one-second pause in time was enough.

Crack!

Crack!

Taiyi held a Colt in his left hand and a Remington in his right, aiming at ’Primordial’, who was frozen in place, simultaneously pulling the trigger, releasing six slightly smaller Fu Bullets clustered around a giant Fu Bullet, which shot like a meteor, landing instantly on Primordial’s heart.

Zheng Qing remembered very clearly that it was from this place that he entered the Primordial core.

Spell light bloomed.

The magic power of two legends collided.

It was as if hundreds of suns simultaneously lit up, obliterating all colors between heaven and earth, with half of the world’s Cloud Sea evaporating at that moment, revealing a pitch-black and dead land below.

Yet Zheng Qing was without joy.

Instead, he retreated a step, nervously raising two Charm Guns, his right flank struggling to extend a fourth arm, which was not yet fully formed but impatiently grabbed the Law book hanging at his waist.

The strong light dissipated.

Revealing the still frozen figure of ’Primordial’, and the slightly smaller figure in front of Primordial—calling It small is relative to Primordial or Taiyi’s massive size; in fact, that figure was about seven or eight meters tall, not much shorter than an edge-type. But Its appearance didn’t match Its height, with a clean face that seemed very easy to bully, a fishtail bun, a slim build, making it difficult to distinguish gender, while dragging a hammer that didn’t fit Its image.

Every angle was so incongruous.

Including Its aura, which gave Zheng Qing a familiar yet strange feeling.

”This guy...”

Above the Sacrificial Altar, the young wizard felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise, instinctively bitter in taste: ”—wasn’t it enough to distract Montreya? Where did this monster come from!”

Zheng Qing dared to swear with the head of Gem Cat that this mysterious intruder suddenly wedged between Primordial and Taiyi was definitely a legend, and not a fringe legend, but a properly ascended figure.

He didn’t think he could handle two legends at once.

Thankfully, the other side seemed to have no intention of smashing him, instead tilting Its head to look at the sky.

”—If you don’t undo the time pause soon, the world will collapse.” The intruder spoke slowly, with an abnormally deep voice, causing Zheng Qing a strong discomfort—he suspected the other chose a path of advancement in becoming a legend, making everyone feel awkward.

Screech!

As if highlighting the intruder’s words, a cry of imminent collapse sounded from deep within the Cloud Sea World. Zheng Qing sighed lightly, knowing that at his current level, he wasn’t capable of bearing the karmic consequence of a complete world collapse, even though this world was already a dead wasteland.

Taiyi’s fingers left the clock hand.

Click, click, click!

The sound of the ticking second hand beneath the glass shell resumed, the world seeming to breathe a sigh of relief, with the remaining Cloud Sea eagerly flowing again, the red and blue intermingled moonlight brightening instantly. Standing behind the refined wizard was Primordial, who hurriedly continued with his Hand Jue, thumbs matched, middle finger covering the index finger—

”Soldier... huh?”

Primordial belatedly noticed the intruder standing before him, the Hand Jue slightly paused, the originally rising magic power dispersing entirely.

”Leviathan? Why are you here?”

Professor Montreya seemed to have no intention of concealing the intruder’s identity, directly stating Its name.

The name made Zheng Qing somewhat distracted.

Finally, he understood why the other’s aura felt familiar yet strange—last year, in the Black Prison, leading the Demon Army in tearing through the Black Prison World Crystal Wall was the Dark Giant Beast Leviathan, then merely a top-level Great Wizard. As for why It ascended to legend now, it surely had something to do with the Xuanhuang Fruit It snatched in the Black Prison.

But compared to Its formerly towering, all-concealing form, now revealed before Zheng Qing was a Leviathan resembling a giant young lad, which explained his sense of unfamiliarity.

Hearing Professor Montreya’s question, Leviathan tilted Its head to the other side, continuing to speak with Its sluggish, deep voice: ”—Your ’Nine Songs’ with ’Yin Yang’ greatly aided my unified self-concept, so you can’t die here... That’s our previous agreement.”

Primordial wore a grim face, uttering no reply.

Leviathan withdrew Its gaze, looking towards Taiyi, who cautiously remained at a distance, and waved Its hand backward: ”Go on, KOTOS is waiting there for you... Handle that business first. This little one, leave it to me.”

Indeed, It had the right to call itself little.

Zheng Qing comforted himself inwardly, pondering whether to risk opening the Law book and chant the spells within.

He had never properly cast this forbidden spell that grew within him.

Though in the past, the curse power had always exploded within him directly.

Professor Montreya paused in silence for a few seconds, then turned away without a word.

Leviathan dusted Its shoulders, looking at Taiyi with admiration.

”Quite... an amazing magic.”

Its unreserved praise sounded like a professor admiring an excellent student: ”At your age, reaching such a level might be considered unprecedented and unmatched... Nonetheless, as the saying goes, no matter how exquisite a spell is, if it doesn’t hit, it’s of little consequence.”
