Chapter 1463: Chapter 207: The Buzzing of Insects, Sharing Sweet Dreams with You

Zheng Qing remembered very clearly.

Last time, when he entered the World in the Mirror in his dream, he left many things for Zhu Si. Such as books, snacks, leaves of the Mystical Grain. But after he came out from the World in the Mirror, those items he had given away were still in his grey cloth bag. They just lost their essence.

This matter troubled him for a long while.

It was also something he dared not think about carefully. If he were to rescue Zhu Si from the World in the Mirror, would she turn into ash or completely dissipate the moment she came out?

The master once told him that he was a person of destiny and could solve this problem. Zheng Qing, however, found the term ”person of destiny” far-fetched, seemingly able to help anyone shirk any responsibility.

”The things that happen after coming out, we can only think about once we go in.” Faced with the somewhat anxious cost student, Xiao Xiao showed enough tranquility: ”If we can go in once, we can go twice, three times... Only by familiarizing ourselves with the situation inside can we make targeted arrangements, and only then do we stand a chance to bring Zhu Si out.”

”As for this mirror.”

The Doctor, with his hand on the pillar at the edge of the Magic Mirror, softly replied, ”I have a feeling that as long as we dream near this mirror, we will always see it in the dream.”

”Seeing it or not, we have to walk through the dream to know.” Zhang Ji Xin had long been impatient with their ramblings, rolling up his sleeves and tightening the knuckle guards on his hands: ”What should we do... How should we do it, Doctor?”

Xiao Xiao unscrewed the lid of the glass bottle:

”First, everyone take a Sleeping Insect.”

As the lid was removed, several translucent bubbles slowly drifted up from the bottle. Each bubble enveloped a small sleeping insect, the tiny creatures struggling against the smooth walls of the bubbles to no avail.

Under Xiao Xiao’s gaze, those bubbles floated in front of each Hunter of the Absolution Hunting Team, hovering in mid-air.

”Tie this rope around your wrist.”

Xiao Xiao, holding a piece of blue hemp rope, passed it to Zheng Qing, demonstrating how to tie it. Zheng Qing did as shown, and after tying his, he passed the end to Jiang Yu, then to Xin Fat Man, then to Zhang Ji Xin, making a full circle, and finally, the end of the rope came back to Xiao Xiao’s hands.

”Everyone knows the pentagram Guardian Array, right?” Xiao Xiao looked around, and everyone nodded, then took their positions according to the five points of the Five-pointed Star Magic Array and sat down cross-legged.

An altar of jade stones was erected, with white candles lit and Yellow Paper hung, painted with talismans.

A misty Barrier rose up behind the five of them, forming a protective light shield that securely enclosed them at the very center. Only then did Xiao Xiao speak up, briefly explaining:

”Just in case, all five of us will enter the dream later, and our responses to the outside world might be sluggish. This screen is our last Guardian.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yu hesitated for a moment and raised her hand: ”Wait a moment.”

As she spoke, she took out a stack of Jade Pendants from her bag, threw them out of the Barrier, and then, with both hands forming a seal, she chanted a Spell. Five thick beams of light, using those Jade Pendants as a foundation, merged into the Barrier, like five huge beams, fortifying the structure of the Protective Barrier somewhat more.

”Just a few more seconds.” Xin Fat Man also hurriedly spoke, taking out several small bottles from his watch and throwing them outside the Barrier. Those glass bottles shattered upon hitting the ground, releasing puffs of smoke in various colors.

The smoke spread out and clung to the surface of the light shield of the Barrier, showing a mottled array of colors.

”Just in case, just in case,” Fat Man scratched his head and chuckled.

Zheng Qing did not laugh, as he too took several stacks of Talisman Paper out of his grey cloth bag, flicking them towards his companions and instructing: ”Hang the Anti-evil charm and Demon Exorcising Charm on your body, place the Vajra Protective Amulet directly in front, it can create a small Protective Barrier with a radius of one meter... The Warning Symbol can be placed randomly, but I doubt whether the Warning Symbol will be effective when we are in the World in the Mirror.”

Zhang Ji Xin, fiddling with those pale yellow Talisman Papers, couldn’t help but complain: ”How afraid of death are you all... This is First University, who would dare lay a finger on us?”

”Kappa?” Zheng Qing was referring to the Kappa they had encountered during the night patrol last year, which had turned into a Demon.

”Or disguised as the Faceless Demon of a serpent,” Jiang Yu reminded everyone not to forget the most dangerous enemy.

”The School Works Committee is not so gentle when catching students who break the rules,” Xin Fat Man shook his head as if he still had lingering fears and sighed deeply.

”Only when everything is prepared, can one be without worries,” Xiao Xiao nodded silently: ”No matter what, it’s always wise to prepare ahead.”

Zhang Ji Xin raised both hands, admitting his own mistake.

The Sleeping Insect within the bubble still struggled against the semi-transparent membrane.

Xiao Xiao watched the little insects for a long time before reminding everyone again, ”Later, I will cast a spell to facilitate entering the dream. These Sleeping Insects are essential for the incantation.”

”Theoretically, this spell will help us enter the same dreamscape.”

”I have no experience using this spell, but I have read about similar experiments in books. Normally, everyone’s dreams are fragmented and disorganized. This is because a person’s imagination is limited, and the world it can sustain is thus greatly limited.”

”So, if we enter the Dreamland or World in the Mirror individually, the surrounding scenery would be quite monotonous.””

”But if the five of us enter together, different imaginations will merge and collide, sparking inspiration, thus rendering the dream more vibrant and the scenery more magnificent... Likewise, this means that the domain of the Dream World will expand to the extent that we might become separated even after we all enter.”

”And this rope.” With that, Xiao Xiao raised his hand tied with the Blue Hemp Rope, gesturing to everyone: ”This rope serves as our Protective Barrier outside the dream, as well as our bond within the dreamscape.”

The light of the Blue Hemp Rope glowed dimly, flickering slightly as if responding to the Doctor’s words.

”Now, calm your mind and begin meditation.”

Zheng Qing closed his eyes, but felt his mind cluttered with chaotic thoughts, one after another, unable to enter a state of total emptiness in mind and body, eventually had to quietly open his eyes and fished out a Calm Heart Talisman for himself.

Then he saw Xin Fat Man and Zhang Ji Xin stealthily waving at him for attention.

The young Doctor smiled silently and tossed a Calm Heart Talisman to each of them.

The effects of the Talisman paper were good.

Soon he fell into a deep meditative state.

It seemed a voice reciting an incantation from far away reached him:

”Insects flying buzzingly, Sharing Sweet Dreams with You!”

He seemed to see inside the bubble, the Sleeping Insect transforming swiftly, from a larva into an adult, then further differentiating, growing a pair of transparent wings on its back, vibrating rapidly, creating a buzzing sound.

Then the Sleeping Insect bit through the bubble, just like breaking through a placental membrane.

It flew out, hovering atop his head, buzzing back and forth, joining the bizarre dance with the other four Sleepy Insects above the heads of the others.

The next second, all five Sleeping Insects dove in unison, plunging into the tops of the young Wizards’ heads.

Zheng Qing was startled, everything before his eyes plunged into darkness.

When he opened his eyes next, he had already entered a world shrouded in dense Mist.
