Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 801: Chapter 408: I Will Support You Unconditionally (Third Update)

Spring Spencer was very surprised, ”You don’t want to settle out of court? But... those lawyers said that, in terms of copyright, you basically don’t stand a chance of winning.”

Kenneth Osborne frowned, ”That indicates those lawyers aren’t quite qualified. Moreover, not only do I not want to settle out of court, I want to countersue them for commercial extortion. I want 20 billion in compensation!”

Spring Spencer was completely speechless.

After quite a while, she tentatively asked, ”Mr. Osborne? Is that Mr. Osborne? I didn’t call the wrong number, right?”

The tone of voice was so aggressive, it was hardly like the Kenneth Osborne she knew.

Kenneth Osborne responded with a faint ”Hmm” and politely said, ”If Ms. Spencer feels it’s difficult, then forget it. I appreciate Ms. Spencer’s help, and when Ms. Spencer returns to the country, I’ll treat you to dinner.”

Spring Spencer chuckled softly, ”No need for that, I just want to help you. Companies from our country are always bullied abroad, I resent it, so I sought help immediately. Don’t worry, Mr. Osborne, no matter what you decide, I’ll always be on your side.”

”Ms. Spencer is too kind. I’m handling this lawsuit myself and countersuing...” Kenneth Osborne was saying, as he thought of finding a reason to hang up the phone.

Spring Spencer quickly said, ”Okay, since you’ve decided to sue and countersue, I unconditionally support you.”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

Spring Spencer laughed again, ”Of course, I’m not helping Mr. Osborne for free either. Mr. Osborne knows the special effects company I bought, I don’t want it to collapse just like that, I also hope Mr. Osborne will support us in making some money.”

Talking about benefits makes it much better.

Kenneth Osborne most feared the kind of help that asks for nothing in return, it sounds unreliable.

He relaxed, smiling as he said, ”I don’t dare call it support. The market is so big, everyone should open their doors to do business; only collaborating can lead to win-win situations.”

Kenneth Osborne had considered the company’s development plan for the future.

He certainly couldn’t have all post-production special effects handled solely by his company.

Furthermore, different films have different styles of special effects.

This time, they did well with the fantasy drama, but that doesn’t mean they can do equally well with other styles, so he’s considering authorizing the use of his post-production special effects intelligent software.

As long as they pay the usage fees, they can use his software for special effects.

And the more people use it, the better it will be for the deep learning function of his software’s artificial intelligence.

Because this will make the field of machine deep learning broad enough; with more scene modeling, it will become more refined.

And this doesn’t need to be done by him alone.

In other words, he’s having countless people test the machine deep learning feature of his AI software, and not only does he not need to pay, those ”helping” him test even have to pay him.

Isn’t this a ”win-win” situation?

Thinking of this, Kenneth Osborne didn’t refuse Spring Spencer’s request.

After all, payments are required, and in business, he wouldn’t reject any company that can collaborate.

Spring Spencer seemed very happy, nodding repeatedly, ”Mr. Osborne is truly someone who accomplishes great things! Following Mr. Osborne means there’s meat to eat!”

”Ms. Spencer really overpraises him.” Kenneth Osborne said with a smile, ”I still have a big lawsuit here, and if I’m not careful, there might not be an opportunity for collaboration.”

”I believe in Mr. Osborne. By the way, you said you need to respond to the lawsuit, reject out-of-court settlement, and countersue, I also support you. Do you need me to help find a lawyer? If you’ve already got a lawyer, even better, but I happen to be available right now, it’s convenient, do you need any help?”

With Spring Spencer’s eagerness, Kenneth Osborne hesitated briefly, but he didn’t have much time left and needed to seize every possible opportunity.

He couldn’t help but ask, ”Ms. Spencer, how much do you know about the company suing me?”

Spring Spencer had also been researching the company’s situation these past two days, and had done a lot of homework.

She introduced to him what she learned about the company’s situation here: ”I found some lawyers and business friends, and from them, I learned that this company is somewhat strange. Although it’s been established for decades, it hasn’t engaged in any legitimate business activities. It seems to have been doing research, but the things they’ve researched have never been monetized.”

Kenneth Osborne was originally thinking of hanging up, but upon hearing this, his interest was piqued. Sitting up straight, he asked, ”Ms. Spencer, do you have specific information about their company? For example, who is the company’s founder, who were the initial employees? Also, who developed the AI software for which they applied for the patent and copyright license? Who is their Technology-Specific Architect, that is, the architect specific to technology?”
