Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 813: Chapter 412: Tangled Emotions Between Two People (Second Update)_3

As he was about to leave, Ruby Sheldon, who had just returned to the country, insisted on going out with him to unwind.

He knew Ruby Sheldon had been receiving treatment abroad and had been bedridden.

Wanting to relax now that she was back home, he agreed.

Observing Ruby Sheldon, who usually looked down on people, showing a clear liking for Kenneth Osborne, Kenneth maintained a distance instead of eagerly engaging, which Nathan Sheldon appreciated.

He didn’t expect Kenneth Osborne to give him an unexpected surprise.

Nathan Sheldon was about to have a long talk with him when his phone rang.

He glanced at it and found it was his father, Aiden Sheldon, calling, and quickly said, ”Excuse me, I’ll be right back.”

He walked out of the private room to find a quiet nook outside to answer the phone.

The nook was quite distinctive, shaped like a zigzagging house.

It was very dark inside, and he stood in the far corner, talking to Aiden Sheldon.

”Everyone sit down, there are some drinks here, have them at your leisure, I’ll get some good food delivered. This is the rare book I mentioned.” Marilyn said, pulling a yellowed-covered book from her LV neverfull bag and handing it to Kenneth Osborne.

She left, leaving only Kenneth Osborne and Ruby Sheldon in the semi-closed private room.

Kenneth Osborne glanced at the coconut drink in front of Ruby Sheldon, inadvertently remembering Lawrence Winters.

She also loved drinking coconut juice.

Ruby Sheldon looked at his face and mused to herself: So handsome...

She lowered her head to take a sip of coconut juice, then glanced at him again.

Her gaze was insatiable.

Kenneth Osborne felt a bit awkward and resorted to small talk.

”... Where does Miss Sheldon work?”

Ruby Sheldon opened her big eyes, the color of her pupils slightly shallow, resembling translucent glass, giving her a naturally innocent and admiring look.

She said, slightly surprised, ”I don’t need to work... I haven’t been well, just returned from treatment abroad.”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...Oh.”

”Didn’t Mr. Osborne know? I got sick at my birthday party a while ago, and Miss Feier was there, didn’t she tell you?”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

Was it the birthday party he attended with Edward Foster and Mrs. Foster?

Lawrence Winters really hadn’t said a word about it.

Kenneth Osborne felt frustrated again and wanted to drink a beer.

But remembering that he had to drive later, he held back and just picked up a bottle of drink, taking a sip.

Ruby Sheldon seemed unaware of his mood change and continued, ”At that time, I wondered why I didn’t see Mr. Osborne... I even thought you two had divorced because she was so affectionate with Edward Foster...”

Kenneth Osborne was slightly stunned, ”You know we’re married?”

Few people knew about his and Lawrence Winters’ marriage registration.

How did Ruby Sheldon know?

Then he immediately thought, on the day he went with Lawrence Winters to register, Aiden Sheldon was video chatting with Ruby Sheldon!

Lawrence Winters had spoken directly into the video, saying she was going with Kenneth Osborne to get their marriage certificate!

The joy and love of that moment were vividly remembered, how did they end up here?

Kenneth Osborne took another sip of his drink, his expression turning distant.

...

By this time, Lawrence Winters had come to their semi-closed private room.

Standing at the half-open doorway, she saw a man and a woman inside.

The man had his back to the room’s entrance, from his silhouette she knew it was Kenneth Osborne.

Facing Kenneth was a woman Lawrence Winters could clearly see, and it was Ruby Sheldon!

A surge of anger rose in her heart, like a thick cloud, blinding her.

She regretted it a thousand times here, chased after him desperately, only to find him quickly hanging out with another woman!

And it was with Ruby Sheldon, the woman she had always clashed with!

Was there any point to this marriage anymore?!

Lawrence Winters reached the peak of her anger but became calm instead, leaving the semi-closed private room and walking to a quiet place, the entrance of the zigzagged nook, and took out her phone to calmly call Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne heard his phone ring, glanced at the phone on the coffee table.

This time, it actually was Lawrence Winters calling.

Joy filled his heart, he quickly swiped to answer, ”Nora!”

Lawrence Winters slightly curled her lips, saying flatly, ”Kenneth, where are you? I’m at your place, but no one is home.”

She was referring to the three-bedroom Kenneth Osborne had bought.

Kenneth Osborne hurried to stand up, saying, ”I’m out dealing with some matters, I’ll be back right away. Wait for me, don’t go anywhere.”

Lawrence Winters chuckled softly, gripping her phone, slowly walking out from the zigzagged nook, standing at the entrance.

She was so focused on her own affairs, she hadn’t realized someone was already dealing with a phone call inside that nook.

And as she arrived, the person’s call had just ended.

Lawrence Winters was blocking the zigzagged nook’s entrance, and the person in the innermost dark part had no choice but to remain silent.

”Where exactly are you?” Lawrence Winters’ voice grew steadily calm, ”You left first, how are you getting home later than me?”

Kenneth Osborne had to say, ”After I left, I ran into a few friends, and we came to the bar together.”

”A few friends? How many exactly?”

”Three.”

Lawrence Winters was livid now.

Trying to deceive her!

There was clearly only one!

Clearly Ruby Sheldon!

She thought only Spring Spencer could anger her this much, but seeing Kenneth Osborne sitting with Ruby Sheldon blew her fuse completely!
