Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 803: Chapter 409: Good Deeds Bring Good Returns (First Update)

Lawrence Winters didn’t hide what she was doing from Edward Foster during this time.

Edward Foster felt quite guilty about what happened at Ruby Sheldon’s birthday party.

He thought it was his fault for taking Lawrence Winters to the Sheldon Family, which caused her to become a thorn in others’ eyes.

But Lawrence Winters knew this had nothing to do with Edward Foster.

About the Grant Branch people, needless to say, they were old rivals.

As for the Sheldon Family, when Lawrence Winters had issues with them, it had nothing to do with Edward Foster.

Now Edward Foster said he’d support her unconditionally, and she couldn’t help but be moved.

She even felt a flutter in her heart for a moment.

Because this kind of unconditional support is something she hadn’t felt from Kenneth Osborne for a long time.

Growing up, she and Kenneth Osborne were childhood friends, and back then, Kenneth always supported her unconditionally.

He stood up for her at school and helped her with homework during breaks at home.

After Kenneth Osborne went to college, he would come home early every winter and summer break just to spend more time with her.

But after they got married, she felt this kind of support became less frequent.

Lawrence Winters didn’t know why, but Kenneth Osborne always held a different place in her heart compared to others.

So even though Edward Foster was very good to her, she always remembered she was Kenneth Osborne’s wife.

Lawrence Winters blinked and said with a smile, ”Mr. Foster, your support is very welcome. I have something I need your help with right now.”

”No problem! Just tell me! I’m sure I can help you!” Edward Foster was overjoyed, almost thumping his chest in assurance.

Lawrence Winters nodded with a smile, ”Here’s the thing, I want to ask you what you know about Evan Stetford’s family situation. Could you share that with me?”

Edward Foster, who had just promised enthusiastically, was caught off guard when he realized Lawrence Winters wanted to know about Evan Stetford.

His face turned sour as he replied, ”Why do you want to know about him? He’s already left the entertainment industry to go back and inherit the family business. And their family’s affairs aren’t something regular people can handle. You’re better off not inquiring.”

Lawrence Winters replied with a laugh, ”I’m not a regular person... Besides, I don’t want their family wealth; I just want to know how powerful they really are.”

Although Edward Foster was unhappy, he knew that if Lawrence Winters intended to seek revenge, Evan Stetford could indeed be a great help.

But Evan Stetford also had feelings that went beyond friendship towards Lawrence Winters...

Lawrence Winters waited for a while, but Edward Foster remained silent.

She grew a bit anxious and nudged him, ”Why aren’t you talking? Do you not know about Evan’s family situation? If not, forget it, don’t force yourself.”

Edward Foster was provoked, and quickly said, ”I know. I’ve known him since childhood; I know everything about his family!”

”Then tell me!” Lawrence Winters rested her chin on her hands, looking intently at Edward Foster.

Edward Foster felt a slight anxiety when met with her clear gaze.

He looked away and smirked, ”... I don’t want to talk.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

”Fine, if you don’t want to say it, don’t.” Lawrence Winters pursed her lips, ”I’ll ask Evan myself.”

Saying this, Lawrence Winters stood up to leave.

Edward Foster abruptly grabbed her hand, looking up with a voice tinged with pleading, ”... Don’t go.”

Lawrence Winters looked down at his hand, gently freed herself, and spoke softly, ”Mr. Foster, we’re from different backgrounds. Most people can’t understand the things I want to do. I don’t expect you to understand, but I hope you don’t obstruct me.”

”You can choose not to help me, but if you decide to stand in my way, I can be ruthless and unrecognizable.”

Edward Foster slowly released her hand.

He felt a bit sorrowful; was this the closest they’d been recently?

It seemed as though the warm touch of her skin still lingered in his palm.

Her gaze suddenly turned cold, devoid of any emotion; she looked both ethereal and icy, carrying an inexplicable aura of menace, akin to a jade-carved Asher.

In Buddhism, Asher belongs to the ”Eight Dragon Division,” known for their love of fighting and transferring their misfortune onto their enemies.

Male Ashers were exceedingly ugly, but female Ashers were all exceptionally beautiful.

Looking at Lawrence Winters, Edward Foster was reminded of the Asher statue he’d seen on a trip abroad at a famous Buddhist grotto, a demeanor very similar to hers now.

Fortunately, she was enchantingly beautiful; otherwise, her mere presence would be enough to make people retreat.

Edward Foster clasped his hands and leaned back into his chair, nodding towards the chair in front of his desk, ”Sit down, I’ll tell you about Evan’s family.”
