Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 692: Chapter 360: Aren’t You Impressive (Third Update, Please Vote with Monthly Tickets!)

Lawrence Winters doesn’t have his own car right now, but he can actually drive Nick Zeller’s Grand Cherokee.

That car has a rugged flair, which Lawrence likes very much, but Kenneth Osborne is worried about his driving skills and doesn’t want him driving that car for the time being.

So right now, when he goes to and from work, he follows Kenneth Osborne’s schedule.

Kenneth takes him to work when he goes, and picks him up when he gets off.

Kenneth Osborne stood up straight, his expression unchanged, and even a bit hospitably reached out to her, greeting, ”Nora.”

Lawrence Winters also tried his best to keep his expression unchanged, smiling as he said to Edward Foster, ”Junior Edward, thanks for the reminder, I understand.”

”Okay, call me if you need anything, I’ll help if I can.” Edward Foster exaggeratedly made a phone gesture at him.

Lawrence Winters pursed his lips and smiled, waved at him, and got into the car with Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne tugged at the corner of his mouth towards Edward Foster as a greeting, didn’t speak, and stepped on the gas pedal, the Tesla roared with a hum, and sped off.

Edward Foster watched the far-off Tesla, a smile curling on his lips.

However, inside the car, the atmosphere was not as harmonious as it was outside.

As soon as they got into the car, Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne both sank their faces without agreement.

After the car drove off, Lawrence Winters took out his phone, waved it in front of Kenneth Osborne, and said unhappily, ”Don’t you think you owe me an explanation for starting the pre-sale with your sister without my consent? We haven’t even sorted out the construction company, no drawings, don’t even know how many villas to build, how could you start selling?! Are you two siblings ganging up to squeeze me out?”

In Kenneth Osborne’s mind, the scene of Lawrence Winters and Edward Foster chatting and laughing lingered.

He suppressed a faint uneasiness in his heart, frowned and said, ”Are you talking about that pre-sale trending topic? I’ve already refused my sister, didn’t sign with her company, and have had my secretary politely decline those who called to inquire, asking them to wait for our announcement.”

”You’re still considering signing with her company?!” Lawrence Winters became even angrier, ”If it weren’t for her, how would we be in such a passive situation?! — Now other construction companies aren’t even bidding! What a tactic, Brooke Osborne!”

Lawrence Winters actually knew that it wasn’t Brooke Osborne’s idea, but Cameron Spencer’s.

But if it weren’t for Brooke being Kenneth Osborne’s sister, Cameron Spencer’s tricks wouldn’t have succeeded, and they would have clarified the rumors long ago.

They’re in a situation now where they can’t deny, nor can they admit, feeling caught in between.

Kenneth Osborne’s grip on the steering wheel tightened as he glanced at Lawrence Winters’ tense face and said in a deep voice, ”Anyway, that trending topic has nothing to do with me, I haven’t released any pre-sale information.”

”Really not? But your sister found me today to discuss this, which I refused and blocked her. Did she go to you instead and managed to persuade you?” Lawrence Winters looked at Kenneth Osborne suspiciously.

The newlyweds hadn’t had the chance to build a bond called ”trust.”

Between him and his sister, Lawrence felt Kenneth would choose his sister.

Because for her, if Kenneth ever conflicted with her family, Lawrence feels she would also choose her family over Kenneth.

Everyone judges others based on their own mindset.

This approach can be right or wrong.

But when all conflicts converge, no one can stay objective and calm, especially when hurtful words come from someone you love.

Kenneth Osborne certainly denied it; doesn’t he know what kind of person his sister is?

This must be Cameron Spencer’s doing, his sister’s ears are soft; she tolerated Gregory Quinn, that scoundrel, for seven years, let alone someone like Cameron Spencer, a seasoned old fox in business.

However, he didn’t explicitly say it was Cameron Spencer’s fault, merely insisted, ”I don’t know, and I didn’t agree. My sister is at fault here, and I apologize on her behalf, I will make things clear with her.”

”Make it clear? Is it really just your sister’s fault? Aren’t you just blaming her because you see me angry?” Lawrence Winters squinted, her trust in Kenneth Osborne wavering bit by bit.

After all, the facts were right in front of her, too undeniable to play ostrich anymore.

Kenneth Osborne slapped the steering wheel, wishing he could grab Lawrence Winters’ shoulders and shake all that distrust from her mind.
