Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 680: Chapter 354: Old Ginger Is Spicier (Part 3)_2

Thinking about the sweet little Winter, Lawrence Winters softened even more.

”Well... how about letting your company bid? After all, if your offer is the best, there’s no reason for us not to use the best company, right?” Lawrence Winters said with a smile.

Brooke Osborne was very pleased to see Lawrence Winters relent, and she continued, ”What kind of relationship do we have that we still need to bid? I’m just worried that you and Kenneth don’t understand anything and might get scammed. Both of you have your own jobs, and now you need a construction company to handle the housing project. If it’s not someone you trust, how can you feel at ease?”

She then repeated what Cameron Spencer had told Lawrence Winters.

It was nothing more than stories of bosses who didn’t understand the business and got fooled by their subordinates, leading to failed businesses.

Let alone building houses, which really requires specialized knowledge and experience; otherwise, you’re just waiting for trouble.

Lawrence Winters found it quite interesting, remembered it firmly, and thanked Brooke Osborne sincerely, but still insisted that her construction company should bid.

Brooke Osborne actually didn’t understand either, but Cameron Spencer had specifically instructed her that if it came to bidding, it would be meaningless; they must secure the project directly.

If they were to bid, the company’s special ownership structure couldn’t be hidden, because it needed to be disclosed.

Noticing that Lawrence Winters wouldn’t budge, Brooke Osborne started feeling unhappy inside.

She hadn’t thought about making money from her brother, but did Lawrence Winters really treat her like an elder sister?

After finishing the call, she sat on the balcony, holding little Winter in her arms, looking at the scenery, actually trying to ease her mind.

Brooke’s mother walked over, smiling, and said, ”Brooke, when are we going to transfer this house to Kenneth? I see he’s living at Laurence’s house every day, which isn’t right.”

”Oh, I’m already arranging it. As long as Kenneth signs, the house is his.”

”Hah, Kenneth treats you so well, how could he sign to take your house? Shouldn’t you voluntarily gift it to him?” Brooke’s mother was clear on this aspect, ”First finish the gift part, and the transfer can be done later.”

Brooke Osborne didn’t pay much attention; she now had assets herself and nodded, ”When I have time, I’ll have the lawyer draft the gift contract.”

Brooke’s mother wanted to persuade her further, but Cameron Spencer walked over just then and greeted her with a smile.

Brooke’s mother quickly changed the topic and said, ”I’ll go check how the kitchen is doing with the meal preparations. The cooks here don’t make soup as well as those from the south.”

After Brooke’s mother left, Cameron Spencer sat down next to Brooke Osborne.

Seeing her like this, Cameron Spencer smiled and said, ”Things not going smoothly?”

”This Lawrence Winters is much harder to deal with than before. He used to be such a good kid...” Brooke Osborne shook her head, not wanting to say too much.

Cameron Spencer smiled slightly, sat beside her, teased little Winter, and said nonchalantly, ”Actually, it’s not a big deal. It’s good she knows to be cautious; there’s hope for her. Otherwise, if she were really scammed, she’d have nowhere to cry. — How about I give you an idea.”

”What idea?” Brooke Osborne glanced at him, asking with some uncertainty.

”Give half of your company’s non-voting shares to your brother, then your brother would be a major shareholder, too. So would he need to think about which construction company to use for that land?” Cameron Spencer suggested proactively.

Cameron Spencer was suggesting giving her brother assets?!

Brooke Osborne was both surprised and pleased, ”Mr. Spencer, did I hear it right? You’re really going to give half of the non-voting shares to my brother?!”

”The company is yours and Winter’s; who you want to give it to is none of my business,” Cameron Spencer said with a smile.

But shares and shares are not the same, and Brooke Osborne didn’t realize this at all.

She just nodded repeatedly, ”Alright, alright! I’m willing to give half of the shares to my brother!”

A few days later, Brooke Osborne brought her lawyer to Kenneth Osborne’s AI Vision Promise Corporation to have Kenneth Osborne sign.

She put the property gift contract and the share transfer contract in front of Kenneth Osborne and said proudly, ”Kenneth, I’ve said before, with your sister here, you have nothing to worry about.”

Kenneth Osborne sat behind the desk, expressionless, his gaze sweeping over the two documents before landing on Brooke Osborne’s face.

”Sis, what do you mean by this?”

Brooke Osborne gestured for the lawyer to leave first, then closed the door of Kenneth Osborne’s office and sat down opposite him, speaking sincerely, ”Kenneth, I know you’re capable, but do you really believe someone can start from scratch in this society? — It’s just that some backgrounds are kept hidden.”

Kenneth Osborne gave a wry smile and said, somewhat helplessly, ”Sis, just take care of little Winter; you really don’t need to worry about things here.”
