Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 685: Chapter 356: This Is Luck (Second Update, 1500+ Monthly Tickets)

At that time, the front porch and backyard of this mountainside villa would seem like there’s a set of two bead curtains, truly a sight to behold...

Bead curtains?

Two sets?

Lawrence Winters felt a stir in his heart, sensing that he was touching something profoundly deep and distant.

It was a kind of grandeur and heroism, like the vast expanse of ”Why not ride the wind and soar up to 90,000 miles?”, and also a spiritedness like ”Facing the vast earth, who is the master of rise and fall?”.

He remembered!

Lawrence Winters quickly turned around, pulling Kenneth Osborne with him, and excitedly said, ”Kenneth, look at the trees on the mountainside over there, how many of the tall ones are there?”

Most of the wooded area on the mountainside was shrubbery, with only a few taller trees.

Among them was the ”Heavenly Water Iron Wood” that she found.

But besides the Heavenly Water Iron Wood, there were other trees, not many, but coincidentally all at about the same latitude as the Heavenly Water Iron Wood.

From their angle, it looked like a line of tall trees standing out among the shrubs.

Kenneth Osborne roughly counted, ”Twelve. – What’s up? Is there a problem?”

Lawrence Winters clasped her hands together and laughed out loud, ”I got it! I know what’s going on! Tsk tsk tsk... Cameron Spencer, that old rascal, really is bold!”

Kenneth Osborne smiled and pinched her cheek, ”What’s up? What did you discover?”

Lawrence Winters didn’t say it directly, instead taking out her phone to capture the fireflies in the mountainside, this time without using the flash, resulting in a rather dark photograph.

”Alright, I figured it out, let’s head back.” Lawrence Winter was full of energy, eagerly running down the mountain.

Kenneth Osborne had no choice but to follow her.

Two hours later, they returned to the large flat in the city’s third ring.

Even though it was already ten o’clock at night, Lawrence Winters had no intention of sleeping.

She darted into her bedroom, transferred the photos from her phone to the computer, and began editing the images.

After Kenneth Osborne showered, he noticed the light was still on in Lawrence Winters’ room, so he knocked on the door, ”Lawrence, still awake?”

Lawrence Winters called out, ”Come in! Let me show you a trick!”

Curious, Kenneth Osborne pushed the door open and saw Lawrence Winters still at the computer, excitedly beckoning him over.

”What big secret did you uncover?” Kenneth Osborne asked playfully, walking over to her side.

On Lawrence Winters’ computer screen was a freshly edited, abstracted image.

The brightness of the picture was adjusted, still somewhat dark, but one could see the shape of their land.

In the center, a hat-shaped protrusion rose, with trees standing around it, and tiny light spots flickering among the trees like the pearls dangling from an emperor’s crown.

If you counted carefully, there were twelve trees in the front and back.

Kenneth Osborne chuckled, ”Is this the photo you edited tonight?”

Lawrence Winters nodded emphatically, explaining to Kenneth Osborne, ”Yeah! You see, this hat-shaped flat protrusion in the middle is our piece of land. And the twelve trees on the mountainside are the ones we counted tonight, exactly twelve trees.”

”The twelve in the front are the ones I plan to plant because to break the backward bending evil on the small river opposite, we need to use a corridor. And to keep the flow of the land’s aura unimpeded, the vegetation in front and back of the hill must be the same.”

”So, the area around the front corridor needs to have twelve trees planted as well, with the rest being shrubs.”

”Fireflies will also flicker among the vegetation at night!”

”So, look at this terrain—what does it resemble?!”

She looked up, her face full of joy, gazing at Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne lifted a hand, stroking his chin thoughtfully, ”...Like an emperor’s crown.”

”Yes! Exactly like an emperor’s crown! The kind emperors love to wear on TV, with bead curtains hanging in front and back!” Lawrence Winters practically jumped up, nearly dancing in her seat, ”Do you know what this is called in feng shui?!”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

He shook his head calmly.

”It’s called an Emperor’s Crown! The emperor’s crown always has twelve strands, twelve beaded strings... Did you know?! An Emperor’s Crown!” Lawrence Winter’s eyes sparkled like stars, her face glowing and radiant, extremely enticing.

Kenneth Osborne couldn’t help but lean down to peck her on the cheek and chuckled, ”Is it impressive? I don’t understand feng shui.”

”Of course, it’s impressive!” Lawrence Winters excitedly explained, counting on her fingers, ”Feng shui enhances a person’s fortune.”

”Each person’s needs differ. Some seek wealth, some seek a career, some wish for a smooth life, and some desire love and family happiness.”

”Although feng shui cannot make your wishes come true, it can push your fortunes in a certain direction.”

”That’s what we often refer to as intangible ’luck’.”

”Who doesn’t want good luck, right? Out of all the people in the world, why was I the one who discovered those two Heavenly Water Iron Woods? That’s luck!”

Lawrence Winters gleamed, practically unable to remain seated due to her excitement.

She stood up from the chair, raised her arms, and faced the direction of The Three Pure Ones.

Kenneth Osborne coughed, speaking softly, ”...Really? You spent your luck on finding those two trees?”

”Of course not.” Lawrence Winters snapped back to reality, her eyes darker than most, glinting as she spoke sweetly, ”Being with you, Kenneth, is also part of my luck!”

Kenneth Osborne knew she was just saying it casually, but he was still warmed by her words, leaning down to kiss her face, ”You’re wise in your words. —Go on.”

Lawrence Winters nodded, ”That’s what I wanted to say. In a feng shui location for official rank, even the common ’official hat’ shape is rare, and I never expected to form a ’Emperor’s Crown’ geomantic formation!”

”Official hat shape?”

”Yes, that’s about the shape of the terrain. Let me tell you, if that bridge wasn’t built opposite our land but on either side, it would be an official hat formation, which is also excellent.”

”But it can’t compare to our current ’Emperor’s Crown’ geomantic formation!”

”I know now why Cameron Spencer is determined to get this land!”

”Because I’ve altered the feng shui of this land, and he noticed!”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...Cameron Spencer doesn’t seem to know feng shui.”

He hadn’t seen Cameron Spencer delve into the mysterious stuff like Lawrence Winters and Nick Zeller.

”He definitely knows,” Lawrence Winters said assertively, ”As a big-shot in real estate, even if he didn’t know initially, he’d have experts advising him. He must have learned a trick or two. Otherwise, he would have already failed!”
