Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 678: Chapter 353: The Wheel of Fortune Turns

”What’s going on here? Did Mr. Nathan tell you to change it?” Cameron Spencer curiously walked over and asked.

Many employees were still gathering at the company entrance, and everyone looked grave.

Cameron Spencer saw several of his company’s executives downstairs, looking even more surprised, ”What are you doing here? Why aren’t you going inside to work?”

One of his most trusted executives came over, looking worried, and said, ”Mr. Spencer, just now two people came with a group, saying they were taking over our company and kicked us out.”

”What?! You believe such scammers?! Why didn’t you call the police!” Cameron Spencer was furious and stormed into the building, directly taking the elevator to his CEO office floor.

Sitting in her office were Blake Leaf and Summer Spencer.

Cameron Spencer’s face fell, ”Miss Summer, what do you mean by this? How did you get into my position?”

Summer Spencer looked at Blake Leaf with a smile, ”You explain.”

Seeing Cameron Spencer’s expression, Blake Leaf felt an indescribable pleasure in his heart.

He folded his arms and laughed heartily, ”Cameron Spencer, when you sent me away back then, did you ever imagine today?!”

”Today? What’s happening today?” Cameron Spencer was baffled, increasingly thinking these two were crazy, but deep down, there was an unexplainable fear.

Blake Leaf stopped talking, handed the letter Nathan left to Cameron Spencer, and said with a smile, ”See for yourself.”

Cameron Spencer opened the slightly thick letter and quickly read it.

After reading the letter, her whole body collapsed, ”I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it! This is impossible! This is extortion! I’m going to call the police! Call the police!”

”Go ahead.” Summer Spencer spread her hands, leaned back in the chair, and said with a smile, ”I didn’t go to court to sue, just left a way out for you. Don’t be ungrateful.”

”If you actually call the police, then we’ll have to go the legal route. Do I still need to say what you and Nathan did back then?”

”Hiding the testament, abandoning your younger brother, seizing family property, every single one, you won’t stand here well.”

”Still want to call the police?! —Your son has parents like you, engaging in illegal acts, and still hopes to have a life in society?!” Summer Spencer’s tone was full of threat.

Cameron Spencer was initially adamant about going to court against Summer Spencer and Blake Leaf, but after seeing Nathan’s letter and being threatened by Summer Spencer again, she knew she basically had no chance of winning.

Because Summer Spencer had solid evidence, and Nathan had already defected...

No inside thief leads to outside enemies.

Cameron Spencer looked hatefully at Blake Leaf, thinking the same as Nathan at the time, should have killed this brat...

Summer Spencer knew what she was thinking, shook her head with a smile, ”Actually, you shouldn’t be too ruthless. If you had really killed Blake back then, I believe the outcome waiting for you would be worse. Now you’re not even that bad, just lost land, the company is still there. The benefits you’ve received from these properties over the years are still there, go back and save a bit, enough for the next life.”

Cameron Spencer slowly stood up from the ground, knowing that with the land gone, her company would certainly be finished too.

Now she could only say externally that she was poorly managed, collapsed after mortgaging the land, to save some face.

Indeed, as Summer Spencer said, she didn’t wipe them out, her family’s savings were still intact.

Cameron Spencer left the CEO’s office with a pale face, found her financial director, and asked her to settle the employees’ salaries, telling them the company was poorly managed and was winding up.

The financial director was stupefied, thinking how could the company be poorly managed, she never knew?!

However, since the CEO said so, she had no choice but to hurriedly settle the accounts as Cameron Spencer instructed.

...

Summer Spencer and Blake Leaf got their hands on the land but didn’t plan to start a company right away. After all, it’s about collecting rent, they temporarily didn’t need that many people, nor did they keep Cameron Spencer’s staff, disbanding them all, even renting out the Ride Wind Company’s headquarters.

They returned from C City to the Southern Region to see Cameron Spencer, only to find he had already gone to the Capital City with Brooke Osborne, Winter, and Brooke’s parents.

Summer Spencer was a bit anxious because she found her personal trust fund frozen, unable to withdraw even a penny.

What should she do?

She quickly called her trust fund manager, asking what was going on.

Her manager politely informed her that it was Cameron Spencer who requested to freeze her trust fund.

Cameron Spencer was the creator of her children’s trust fund. He had all the power to cancel or freeze their trust fund at any time.

Upon hearing it was Cameron Spencer who requested the freeze, Summer Spencer quickly called Cameron Spencer, coquettishly asking, ”Dad, why did you freeze my trust fund? I don’t even have enough money for a plane ticket!”

Cameron Spencer sighed with some difficulty, ”I didn’t want to freeze it. It was the board of directors who forced me. Now the Harlow Family has temporarily backed off, but the Stetford Family is still aggressive. Our company’s overseas business has recently been snatched several times by them, and the board wants you to compensate.”

”Huh?! What does that have to do with me?!” Summer Spencer refused to admit it was her attempt to overthrow Lucas Harlow that led to the Stetford Family’s retaliation, ”Lucas had nothing happen! It was their own business failures, how can they pin it on me?”

”Oh? Is that so? Do you want me to send you the evidence?” Cameron Spencer said coldly, ”Not only will it cost all your trust fund, but the board will also send a legal letter to claim compensation from you personally.”

”No way!” Summer Spencer was even more panicked, the previous joy was completely gone, ”How can I afford that?!”

”Dad! You must help me!” Summer Spencer was sweating profusely, almost unable to breathe.

Cameron Spencer said nothing, waiting silently for a moment, until the silence almost broke Summer Spencer. Then he slowly said, ”Helping you is not impossible. Give the piece of land from Ride Wind Company in C City to Spencer Group as collateral, and I can persuade the board to drop their claims against you. You know, these old foxes won’t give up easily.”
