Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 673: Chapter 351: Not for Me to Decide

The current Lawrence Winters is incredibly lucky, no longer the unfortunate little girl who used to choke on water!

If she’s allowed to take the reins, she might be even more capable than I am...

Nick Zeller realized this and quickly nodded, ”Alright, then I won’t interfere. Anyway, I’m going home tomorrow and will stay bedridden, pretending to be unconscious to avoid any trouble.”

Lawrence Winters smiled and agreed, ”I’m even keeping it from Boss Spencer.”

...

The next day, Nick Zeller was discharged and returned to his apartment to recover.

The old Daoist, like welcoming a hero, prepared a table full of dishes that Nick Zeller loved.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Osborne returned to his company and started seeking bank loans.

Cameron Spencer wasn’t idle either; he immediately gave shares of a small construction company to Brooke Osborne and her son.

Brooke Osborne held forty-nine percent, and her son held fifty-one percent, with Brooke holding the shares in trust until her son came of age.

He had someone register and change the shareholders while telling Brooke Osborne, ”Your brother plans to develop real estate. I’m giving you a construction company and some startup capital. Talk to your brother and join them in the collaboration.”

Brooke Osborne was surprised and quickly said, ”But I don’t know anything about this!”

”You don’t need to know; you and Winter have shares in the company, and you have a general manager to run it for you. Just offer to help Kenneth. Think about it, building houses requires a lot of money, and relying solely on bank loans isn’t enough, right? And I heard...” Cameron Spencer hesitated for a moment and continued, ”He and Lawrence borrowed five hundred million to buy that land, so the cash flow is pretty tight now.”

Brooke Osborne was indeed worried and quickly said, ”Then I’ll ask him...”

”Find out his stance first. If he flatly refuses, don’t worry. We just want to help him. He’s young and proud, so just ask if he owes someone five hundred million.” Cameron Spencer smiled and suggested to Brooke Osborne.

Brooke Osborne wasn’t too concerned about partnering with Kenneth Osborne to build houses; she was only worried if Kenneth was really in that much debt.

She placed little Winter in the playpen, walked to the window, and called Kenneth Osborne.

”Kenneth, I heard you’re developing real estate now?” Brooke Osborne asked directly, ”Isn’t that a bit risky? You’ve never worked in this field, and I’m worried you’re neglecting your main job.”

Kenneth Osborne immediately knew it was Cameron Spencer who told her. He didn’t deny it and laughed, ”Yes, I’m partnering with Nora. The land is great, and I heard my brother-in-law also sees its potential.”

Brooke Osborne sighed, ”So, did you owe someone five hundred million?”

”To buy land requires money, of course, but with land as collateral and my company as a guarantor, I can get a bank loan,” Kenneth Osborne said casually.

Brooke Osborne frowned, ”Why take a bank loan? I have a construction company with full ownership with little Winter. There are all kinds of people in the company, and we have funding. I’ll give you five hundred million and let my construction company help you build houses, as an investment.”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

He didn’t expect Brooke Osborne to offer five hundred million just like that.

Needless to say, it’s Cameron Spencer again.

Kenneth Osborne had been the closest to this sister since childhood, and when Brooke was at her worst, he never felt she was a burden.

But at this moment, he felt marrying Cameron Spencer had been quite a burden.

Not to mention the complex father-son relationship between Cameron and Nick Zeller, every time something happened, Cameron would push Brooke and little Winter forward.

He couldn’t ignore this mother and son.

Kenneth Osborne pressed his lips together, still smiling, ”That wouldn’t be appropriate. After all, the land belongs to Nora’s family, and I’m just helping out as a collaborator.”

”Right, you can collaborate with her, and so can I.” Brooke Osborne laughed lightly, ”Why don’t I just call Lawrence? I’ve watched her grow up, and I don’t want a share of your profits, just to help you both out a bit more.”

”You lack money and knowledgeable people, and I have them here, so why reject it? Would I cheat you guys?” Brooke Osborne said generously, even indicating that she didn’t want extra profit.

Kenneth Osborne rubbed his temples, thinking how Lawrence didn’t have a good impression of the Spencer family, and wouldn’t agree. He frowned and refused, ”This really isn’t appropriate, and it’s not up to me alone.”

Brooke Osborne was surprised, ”Kenneth, between you and Lawrence, you can’t make decisions? You’re the man!”

”What does being a man have to do with it? Men should respect women too, and sis, you’re a woman as well.” Kenneth Osborne said mildly, ”I have a meeting to attend. Let’s discuss this later.”

Brooke Osborne held her phone, smiled wryly, and shook her head, turning back to Cameron Spencer, who had been attentively listening, ”Mr. Spencer, I can’t do it. My brother disagrees, saying it’s Lawrence’s family’s business, and he’s just helping.”

”Then why don’t you try calling Lawrence Winters? Didn’t she get engaged to Kenneth?” Cameron Spencer asked curiously, ”I remember seeing an engagement ring on her hand.”

”Yes, they’re engaged.” Brooke Osborne nodded, ”My parents wish they would marry soon.”

”Exactly, they’ll be family sooner or later, so why make distinctions? You should just call Lawrence Winters directly, don’t mention cooperation, just say you want to help Kenneth. Provide her with funding and manpower. She’d surely appreciate the shares to please Kenneth.” Cameron Spencer advised Brooke Osborne.

Brooke Osborne hesitated, ”Isn’t that inappropriate? Lending them money to repay their debts is fine; they just need to pay me back, and I don’t want to dilute their profits.”

”You’re so kind.” Cameron Spencer bit his pipe and smiled kindly, ”But in business, it’s business. You bringing my company to back them up ensures they won’t be swindled by others, which is a big help.”

As long as Brooke Osborne could make Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne accept his construction company, how the profits would be divided wouldn’t be up to them.

Brooke Osborne didn’t know what Cameron Spencer’s intentions were, but it sounded reasonable and quickly said, ”Then how should I persuade them?”

”How about this, we all go live in Capital City for a while. Our houses are in the same neighborhood, so meeting would be convenient.” Cameron Spencer suggested with a smile, ”If you want, we can bring your parents along too.”
