Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 664: Chapter 347: What Should We Do Now? (First Update, Please Give Recommendation Tickets!)

Kenneth Osborne hurriedly stepped on the brakes, quickly stabilizing the car, then turned his head to look at her and said, ”...What’s going on? Your mom and your... master are getting a certificate? A marriage certificate?”

”Of course, what other certificate could it be,” Lawrence Winters chuckled, a bit amused by Kenneth Osborne’s intense reaction. ”What’s wrong? You’re not happy?”

”Let me tell you, it doesn’t matter if you’re unhappy. This is between my mom and my master; it’s none of our business,” Lawrence Winters firmly reminded Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne chuckled wryly and shook his head, ”It’s not up to me to be happy or not. But just think, my sister married Cameron Spencer; you can call Cameron Spencer brother-in-law.”

”Now your mom is marrying your master, and your master is Cameron Spencer’s son. So your mom then becomes Cameron Spencer’s daughter-in-law, and you, in terms of seniority, become Cameron Spencer’s grandchild.”

Lawrence Winters had never considered this and was left speechless for a moment.

After a while, she lightly patted her forehead, annoyed, and said, ”Oh my goodness! I really hadn’t thought about that! What should I do?!”

”Luckily, I’m not my master’s biological child! Otherwise, I’d have jumped in the river!” Lawrence Winters burst into laughter as she thought.

Her perspective was always so quirky, and she could easily lead the conversation astray.

Sure enough, Kenneth Osborne was led astray too and laughed, ”That’s right. Once you find your biological father and change your surname, that problem won’t exist. I bet you don’t want to be considered Cameron Spencer’s grandchild.”

”Even if I don’t change my surname, I don’t want to have any ties to their family at all,” Lawrence Winters said sincerely, ”Your sister marrying Cameron Spencer... I’ve always thought of it as a blemish on your record.”

”What’s that got to do with me? You’re talking nonsense,” Kenneth Osborne laughed, freeing a hand to pinch her cheek.

”You’re good at everything, Kenneth. I can’t find any faults in you, so if I’m nitpicking, it can only be about your relatives,” Lawrence Winters chuckled and pushed Kenneth Osborne’s hand away, ”Focus on driving. Your driving skills are not as good as mine.”

Kenneth Osborne smirked, ”Stop bragging. When we get back, let’s settle this and see who’s the real driving pro!”

Lawrence Winters intended to retort, but suddenly noticed Kenneth Osborne’s mischievous smile and understood what he meant.

”Ugh!” Lawrence Winters gave him a playful glare and said, ”Actually, I’m quite happy to have my master as my dad. I don’t want to find my biological father.”

”I know you’ve always had a good relationship with your master since you were young. Even a biological father might not be able to do what he does. But why don’t you have any desire to find your biological father? Most people would be curious,” Kenneth Osborne withdrew his hand and placed it back on the steering wheel.

Lawrence Winters shrugged, ”Isn’t it obvious? If he were alive, he would’ve come to find my mom and me over the years. My mom struggled to get by, sought help from my master and didn’t look for him, indicating he’s not a good person.”

Kenneth Osborne found himself at a loss for words.

Lawrence Winters propped her elbow on the car window’s edge and added, ”If he is a good person, then he must be dead, which is why he hasn’t found us all these years, and my mom hasn’t sought him out.”

”So why should I be curious about him?——Just mentioning him is giving him way too much credit!” Lawrence Winters said with disdain.

Her thoughts were actually quite straightforward and simple; if others are good to her, she will be good to others.

She wouldn’t go out of her way to find someone oblivious to her existence.

That would just be asking for trouble.

Moreover, she was very carefree, not lamenting over being a child without a father, thinking of herself as inferior.

Kenneth Osborne felt both love and hate towards this aspect of her.

Love, of course, because such straightforward and clear-minded girls are rare. Being loved by a linear-thinking girl like this is a blessing for a man.

Hate, naturally, because her thinking was too linear and carefree, sometimes even more so than him, making him wonder how much space he truly occupied in her heart.

Kenneth Osborne laughed lightly and said, ”I feel like your biological father might not be dead.”

”But in my mind, he’s already considered dead.” Lawrence Winters covered her chest as they reached the hospital parking lot and prepared to get out.

They both got out of the car and walked with their lunchbox towards the hospital building.

As they approached the building, a stretched Rolls Royce Phantom drove up and stopped directly at the entrance.

This wasn’t a place just anyone could park their car.

Lawrence Winters couldn’t help but steal a glance.

The door of the luxury car opened, and surprisingly, it was Autumn Stetford and Ruby Sheldon who came out.

Ruby Sheldon stood carefully beside Autumn Stetford, her face full of admiration.

Autumn Stetford bent down to adjust her collar, looking very pale and haggard.

She wore a light smoky gray dress-styled trench coat, her waist was thin, making her appear very slim, as if a gust of wind could blow her away.

Was Autumn Stetford sick?

Lawrence Winters couldn’t help but wonder. Even a family doctor wasn’t enough, and she had to come to the hospital for treatment?

It seemed Autumn Stetford’s illness was quite serious.

But Lawrence Winters didn’t intend to engage in conversation. She quickly withdrew her gaze, pretended not to notice, and went up the steps with Kenneth Osborne to enter the door and headed towards the elevator.

Ruby Sheldon saw Lawrence Winters at this time and wanted to call her, but Lawrence Winters had already turned away.

Ruby Sheldon pouted, looked at Autumn Stetford, and said, ”Mom, do we really have to go to this hospital? How about we go abroad to see a doctor?”

”Mom’s feeling very unwell, let’s check here first. I have already arranged for a plane, and we’ll go abroad in a couple of days, and I’ll get a thorough checkup at a foreign hospital,” Autumn Stetford forced a smile and headed towards the elevator with Ruby Sheldon.
