Chapter 1343: Chapter 1344: I Will Make Arrangements on My End

An Jing laughed, ”You are people, not mules, nor horses, you don’t need to be taken out for a run.”

Du Aya touched her nose and smiled sheepishly, ”Anyway, that’s what I meant, instructor, you definitely understand.”

”I understand,” An Jing nodded, but said nothing more.

Ye Zhi just smiled and didn’t speak.

Xiao Changyi said even less.

Silence.

The ten female soldiers waited for a while. Seeing that An Jing didn’t express whether to have them compete with the male soldiers, Li Wuyu got anxious first: ”Instructor, those people are really too much, they truly look down on us. When we went to the riverside to wash clothes just now, there were more than a dozen people gathered talking about us! We’ve been training behind closed doors like this, and no one knows how we’re doing. If we don’t show them, they will continue to look down on us!”

Six months ago, An Jing had already forbidden outsiders from watching the female soldiers train. From that time, every time Xiao Changyi brought other camp leaders to observe, he would inform An Jing in advance.

Or An Jing would take the initiative to ask Xiao Changyi to bring other camp leaders to watch, like four months ago when teaching recruits to make sand tables.

But in general, how these ten recruits were trained was only known to An Jing, Xiao Changyi, and Ye Zhi; no one else knew completely.

Su Chengyuan also said, ”Instructor, if you can’t decide on letting the male soldiers compete with us, I can write to my Emperor brother to get his approval for the competition. With an imperial decree, they would have to compete with us even if they don’t want to.”

”Not competing with you but still must compete with you?” An Jing suddenly laughed, ”Isn’t that forcing them to compete with you?”

Su Chengyuan said, ”Who asked them to look down on us, without a competition, how can we make them respect us?”

Pausing, Su Chengyuan added, ”The instructor once said that to gain respect, you have to be stronger, and we consider ourselves stronger than those who look down on us.”

An Jing did not continue speaking with Su Chengyuan; she just smiled and looked at Tobanya, asking, ”Do you also want to compete?”

The cold and indifferent Tobanya nodded without hesitation, ”Yes, I do.”

An Jing nodded, acknowledging. Then, An Jing turned to look at Liu Feifei, ”What about you, do you also want to compete?”

Liu Feifei replied gently, ”Yes, I also want to.”

An Jing nodded again, fell silent for a while, and then said, ”Whether others respect you or not, you must first respect yourself.”

Su Chengyuan frowned and said, ”Instructor, are you disagreeing then?”

The other female soldiers frowned as well.

An Jing merely smiled.

The ten female soldiers frowned even more significantly, not understanding what An Jing’s smile meant.

At this time, Ye Zhi opened her mouth with a smile, ”The instructor won’t disagree. Just now, the instructor, the Prince, and I talked about this matter. You’ve gone through so many exams, and your results have been getting better each time. It’s time for other camps to see the spirit of our female soldiers.”

The ten female soldiers immediately became overjoyed.

Only then did An Jing smile and say, ”Just like A Ya said, be it a mule or a horse, it’s always right to take them out for a run. I’ll arrange the competition. You just need to train well and participate when the time comes. Show everyone your skills now.”

After the ten female soldiers left, An Jing sighed and said, ”It’s good to strive for excellence, but being too sharp is not good either.”
