Chapter 1338: Chapter 1339: Strategizing Behind the Scenes to Secure Victory From a Thousand Miles Away?

In modern military, sand tables are commonly used for studying terrain, enemy situations, combat plans, organizing coordinated actions, and conducting tactical training, serving as a frequent tool for troop training and organizing command in battle.

An Jing saw that the eyes of the ten female soldiers were gleaming; she first curved her lips as she glanced at the sand table, then she began, ”How Deputy Instructor Ye and I built this, you’ve all seen, and some points to note we mentioned during the process of building. Do you have any questions still unclear to you?”

The ten female soldiers immediately shook their heads: ”No!”

”Good, now divide into two groups, Tobanya, Li Wuyu, Su Chengyuan, Shi Hua, and Liu Feifei in one group, and the other five in a second group. Each group will build a sand table of the Pubumountain according to what the Deputy Instructor and I have just taught you.”

”Yes!”

While the two groups were busy building their sand tables, Xiao Changyi arrived with a number of generals. There were representatives from the Wolf Camp, Tiger Camp, and Leopard Camp, and the heads of all three camps were present.

Upon seeing Xiao Changyi and his party approach, An Jing stepped forward and saluted with a fist: ”Prince, Generals.”

Xiao Changyi nodded his head.

The generals quickly returned the salute with a fist.

An Jing slightly stepped aside, pointed at the sand table, and spoke again with a slight smile, ”Prince, Generals, this is a sand table Deputy Instructor Ye and I made together. May I ask if the Prince and Generals have any advice?”

Upon seeing the sand table, the generals lit up as if they had captured the whole image of the Pubumountain. Their eyes gleamed, and they even rushed forward to take a closer look, showering it with incessant praise.

This was far more vivid than the image of the Pubumountain on the map; the map’s representation was extremely abstract, whereas here, it was as if the real Pubumountain had been brought to life, just scaled down.

Xiao Changyi’s cool gaze also brightened. He had not expected the sand table to take on such a vivid form.

An Jing, seeing the interest of the generals in the sand table, simply explained its construction and pointed to the two groups of female soldiers currently building their own sand tables, ”They are now making sand tables, and if the Generals are interested, you can stand to the side and observe.”

The generals first took another look at the sand table An Jing and Ye Zhi had completed, before moving over to where the two groups of female soldiers were to watch theirs.

Xiao Changyi also went over with An Jing to take a look.

”Prince,” suddenly General Xu Shangong spoke to Xiao Changyi, ”The military generals have relied on maps for commanding battles, but now we can switch to these sand tables. The terrain is so lifelike, that if there’s a battle, I believe we can secure victory from a thousand miles away without even leaving the camp.”

Xiao Changyi remained silent.

But An Jing spoke up, ”General Xu, indeed the sand table is more vivid than the map, but building one takes time, and if the battle is urgent, it might be too late to use them, so we still need to rely on maps. Sand tables are also not easy to carry; maps are more convenient. If we are on the march, using a map is more practical.”

”Instructor An not only thought of the military advantages of the sand table but also considered all the details so comprehensively, this General is impressed!” Xu Shangong expressed his admiration.

The other generals also expressed their admiration in succession.

And their admiration was truly sincere, without a shred of falsehood.

An Jing, however, pulled Ye Zhi to her side and smiled, ”This sand table was something my sworn sister and I figured out together. Don’t make it seem like the credit is all mine; that would be too unfair to my sworn sister, don’t you agree?”

Immediately, Qi Tengfei burst out laughing, ”Kid, I didn’t expect you to have this skill. I’ve truly seen you in a new light.”
