Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1330: Chapter 1331: Sheepskin Airbag

An Jing also knew what this place was like, so she very much agreed with what Xiao Changyi said.

It’s just——

”My husband, should we teach this method to people in other camps?”

”To avoid causing a huge commotion, it’s better not to.” The method is somewhat...

”Alright then.” An Jing didn’t insist. It was the result of the environment and there was nothing to be done about it. This place was not as open-minded as modern times.

Whether it was for a woman or a man, mouth to mouth... People here would think it highly indecent.

And as for the women here, it would be even more serious, they would think they’ve lost their chastity.

They might even feel they could no longer face the world and take their own lives or something.

After a silence, An Jing then said, ”I think Wild Goose Jade and the others might not believe what I say.”

Xiao Changyi said, ”Whether you tell them or not, it’s up to them whether they follow your lifesaving advice in the future.”

An Jing nodded, ”That’s true. I’ll just mention it to them, and whether they believe it or if they will think to use this method to save someone from drowning in the future is up to them.” She just wanted them to know more ways to save themselves and others.

”Mm.”

...

The next day, An Jing and Ye Zhi taught the new soldiers how to swim.

As it wasn’t as open as modern times, everyone was still wearing a lot of clothes, and even if the clothes got wet, they would at most cling to the body a little, not revealing the originally exquisite figures of the women.

Naturally, no one would say anything about indecency.

To prevent anyone from drowning, An Jing and Ye Zhi had already had plenty of sheepskin airbags made in advance, to be used as lifebuoys, with two tied to each person.

The place for swimming lessons was the river behind the women’s military camp.

Many bamboo rafts and sheepskin rafts were also stationed by the river, as a precaution as well.

An Jing and Ye Zhi were both very good swimmers, and it was simple for them to teach ten female soldiers how to swim.

All ten female soldiers could not swim at the beginning, but after several days of continuous learning, with the aid of sheepskin airbags, everyone could swim a little.

During the period of teaching the female soldiers to swim, An Jing mentioned artificial respiration, but the female soldiers didn’t believe it. An Jing didn’t argue with them, but simply said, ”If you really encounter such a situation, and if it’s someone you really want to save, you might as well give it a try.”

Since the beginning of teaching the female soldiers to swim, An Jing arranged for them to learn swimming every day for two hours.

Until the day before the four little tykes of An Jing and Xiao Changyi’s household turned four years old, which was the fifth day of the sixth month, the ten new soldiers could basically swim, but were still not proficient enough and needed more practice in the future.

An Jing and Ye Zhi discussed and decided to continue teaching the female soldiers to swim for about half a month more. By then, they reckoned the female soldiers should be proficient swimmers, and by then, they wouldn’t need to have the female soldiers constantly swim to get accustomed to the water, just occasionally.

On the sixth day of the sixth month, it was the four little ones’ fourth birthday.

An Jing and Xiao Changyi had already decided to enter the royal palace that day to spend the whole day with the four little ones.

Ye Zi, it’ll be tough on you to train the soldiers by yourself today.” An Jing walked with Xiao Changyi out of the military camp while speaking to Ye Zhi.

Ye Zhi smiled and said, ”What’s tough about it? I’m used to it, it’s not tough at all, especially since today’s training is what we taught before. I’ll just have them practice on their own while I watch, it’s really not tough at all.”
