Chapter 1314: Chapter 1315: Have You Forgotten...?

An Jing said, ”Did he cover his mouth? Why do I feel like I saw him holding his nose?”

”Wasn’t it the mouth...” Influenced by An Jing’s comment, Du Aya suddenly became unsure.

”Regardless of which it was,” An Jing didn’t care to fuss over the detail, ”even though you look like a guy, you’re still a decent-looking one at that. You won’t disgust anyone to the point of vomiting. Just relax.”

Du Aya finally brightened up, ”As long as I’m not disgusting anyone, that’s all that matters. I’m already unmarriageable; I don’t want my looks to disgust people.”

Seeing Du Aya’s spirits lift, An Jing didn’t bother with further comforting and simply said, ”Hurry back and get some sleep.”

”Yes, Instructor.” Du Aya obediently departed. After taking a few steps, she turned back, ”Thank you, Instructor!” After expressing her gratitude, she began to run, hurrying back to sleep. She wanted to get enough rest to continue training with renewed energy.

An Jing watched Du Aya with a smile and a shake of her head before turning around to return to the tent.

Meanwhile, Qi Weimeng kept up his quick pace following his eldest brother, ”Bro, bro, why are you in such a hurry, bro?”

Qi Gaoda didn’t respond, continuing to stride forward.

Qi Weimeng finally caught up only to see the fresh red between his brother’s fingers, covering his nose, and cried out in alarm, ”Bro, why are you having a nosebleed, bro?”

Qi Gaoda immediately covered Qi Weimeng’s mouth with his other hand, forbidding him from shouting any louder, and chastised him without good grace, ”What’s with the fuss, it’s nothing serious! And to think you’re a vanguard officer!”

Once Qi Gaoda removed his hand from Qi Weimeng’s mouth, he asked in a normal tone, ”Bro, why is your nose bleeding? Suddenly, just like that.”

”It’s just this dry weather, too hot!” Dropping this excuse, Qi Gaoda quickened his pace even more.

Qi Weimeng: ”...” Bro, did you forget that today’s a cloudy day, quite cool actually...

...

With Gong Juechen’s meticulous care, by April 9th, Ye Zhi’s injury had completely healed.

Because the wound was deep, although it had healed, it left a long scar.

Ye Zhi was indifferent towards the scar, but Gong Juechen couldn’t be more concerned. He was determined to concoct the best scar-removing medicine, applying it to Ye Zhi to help her get rid of the scar.

Ye Zhi, however, had already turned her attention back to training the soldiers. As for what Gong Juechen wanted to do, she let him be since she had no time to worry about it. Moreover, she didn’t want to.

It took a month and a half from when Ye Zhi was injured to her full recovery.

And during that month and a half, An Jing once again led the recruits on four 50-kilometer weighted marches in the field. Unlike the first time, there were now seven people who could reach the destination within the set time.

Liu Feifei, Ting Shu, and Shi Hua were the only three who hadn’t reached the destination on time even once.

But the three of them had made significant progress, reducing the time they required to reach the destination considerably from before.

Upon seeing Ye Zhi’s recovery, An Jing discussed starting to teach the female soldiers skills with her.

Ye Zhi suggested, ”Before teaching skills, we should have a comprehensive assessment. They’ve been training for two and a half months; we ought to summarize their progress.”

An Jing said, ”That’s what I was thinking too. Let’s do it tomorrow. We’ll organize an assessment for them then.”

”Mhm.”

The next day, An Jing and Ye Zhi arranged for ten recruits to take the exam.

The main assessments were the 400-meter obstacle run, push-ups, sit-ups, frog jumps, and a reversal technique.
