Chapter 1328: Chapter 1329: Not Going to Be Polite With You

Gong Juechen hurriedly grabbed her, ”Zhizhi, it’s okay if you’re mad at me. You can hit me or scold me, but can you please use this healing cream? This cream can really make your scars fade away.”

As he spoke, Gong Juechen looked pitifully sad, and his voice was especially melancholic: ”Since you got injured, I’ve been thinking about this scar removal issue. It’s been more than three months; even if you dislike me, you can’t just joke about your own health.”

Ye Zhi was speechless. How was not removing her scars equivalent to joking about her own body? Scar or no scar, it wouldn’t affect her health, okay!

But still, Ye Zhi took the healing cream and stuffed it into her chest.

Then, without saying another word to Gong Juechen, Ye Zhi continued to walk forward.

Gong Juechen didn’t hold onto her any longer, nor did he follow, just standing in his spot, excitedly yelling at Ye Zhi, ”Zhizhi, make sure you apply it, every day, don’t forget. If you forget, it’s okay, I will remind you every day, making sure you apply it.”

Hearing that she would be reminded every day, Ye Zhi’s step faltered but was only a brief hesitation, and then, she continued to walk forward.

She was really annoyed with Gong Juechen.

But she had to admit that Gong Juechen’s care for her did indeed warm her heart a little.

At this moment, her heart felt a bit warmed.

It was only after Gong Juechen saw Ye Zhi disappear from his sight that he returned to his military doctor’s tent and picked up another jar of healing cream from the table, then went looking for Meng Zhuqing.

”This is...” Meng Zhuqing, looking at the jar Gong Juechen pushed into his hand, felt a little complicated.

”It’s the medicine I asked you to try before. You wouldn’t try it, so I had others test it. The effect is quite good, and none of those people had any problems. You can now apply it confidently on your face.”

Hearing this, Meng Zhuqing felt even more complicated.

”Since there’s a medicine that can lighten the scars on your face, you can’t just stubbornly refuse to use it now. And I won’t be courteous with you; hand me six hundred taels, and the medicine is yours.” He had spent six hundred taels to have people test the medicine.

Meng Zhuqing didn’t find anything wrong with Gong Juechen also asking him for money and quickly took out six hundred silver notes to give to Gong Juechen.

Gong Juechen received the money with a grin and left with the same cheeky smile.

Leaving Meng Zhuqing to stare blankly at the medicine jar in his hands.

...

During the month that Gong Juechen found people to test the healing cream, An Jing not only arranged for ten female soldiers to learn from Xiao Changyi how to use their weapons more effectively but also arranged for Ye Zhi to teach ten female soldiers close combat. Moreover, An Jing herself also took part in sparring with the female soldiers and taught those who couldn’t ride horses to learn Riding a Horse.

To An Jing’s surprise, Liu Feifei appeared so delicate, but in fact, she could ride a horse.

The ones who couldn’t ride horses were only Du Aya, Baoqin, Lie Qi, Ting Shu, and Shi Hua, five people.

By mid-May, when the five of them learned to ride a horse.

Thanks to Gong Juechen’s scar removal cream, by mid-May, the color of the scars on Meng Zhuqing’s face had significantly faded. And because the color had faded quite a bit, the many scars on his face didn’t look as fierce and horrifying as before.

However, when Meng Zhuqing went out, he still wore a mask. He would only take it off when he was alone with Tuobanya. Tuobanya didn’t like him to wear the mask in her presence.

And by mid-May, the ten female soldiers’ skills in close combat were very well grasped.

As for their proficiency with the weapons they held, each of the ten female soldiers had made significant progress.

Especially Li Wuyu, Du Aya, and Su Chengyuan, their progress was exceptionally noticeable.
