Chapter 1182: Chapter 1183: Whether You Are or Not, You Can Only Be Mine

As soon as Ye Zhi returned to the courtyard where she lived in Prince Yi’s Mansion, she entered her room without caring whether Gong Juechen was there or not, and laid down on the bed without undressing, not moving an inch.

Once in bed, Ye Zhi genuinely felt much more comfortable, but the soreness persisted, making her really not want to move at all, fearing any motion would cause more pain.

She closed her eyes and felt like sleeping.

But at this moment, Gong Juechen came to the bedside and asked her, ”Zhizhi, are you thirsty? Do you want to drink some water?”

”No.”

”Not thirsty?”

”It’s not that; I just don’t want to move.” From the time she left in the morning until now, she hadn’t drunk a sip of water, and her lips were dry. How could she not be thirsty?

”Then I’ll pour it for you.” Saying this, Gong Juechen hurried to pour a cup of water for Ye Zhi, then brought it to the bedside for her to drink. ”Zhizhi, it’s ready. Here.”

Only then did Ye Zhi open her eyes, looking at the cup of water in front of her and then at Gong Juechen standing by the bed, she lowered her gaze, planning to raise her hand to take the cup.

But the moment she lifted her arm, the pain made her drop it again. Her entire body ached, especially her arm. This wasn’t from a fall, but probably from when she sparred with Qi Tengfei and he pulled her hard.

”Forget it, I won’t drink.” She would rather endure thirst than suffer more pain.

She could drink after resting well.

That was what Ye Zhi planned, so after saying those words, she prepared to close her eyes again.

But before she could, Gong Juechen sat down by her pillow, supported her head with one hand, and brought the teacup to her lips with the other, clearly intending to feed her the water.

Ye Zhi paused for a moment, looked at Gong Juechen, and then drank the water very obediently.

She was really thirsty.

Since he was willing to feed her, why not drink?

After Ye Zhi finished the cup, Gong Juechen asked, ”Do you want more?”

Ye Zhi shook her head slightly, ”No more.” After saying this, without caring that Gong Juechen was still sitting by the head of the bed holding up her head, she closed her eyes. She planned to have a good long sleep.

Gong Juechen gently laid Ye Zhi’s head back on the pillow, then stood up and placed the teacup back on the table.

Standing by the table, he took another glance at the person lying on the bed; Gong Juechen still didn’t leave but walked back to the bedside.

Seeing that Ye Zhi was almost asleep from exhaustion, a touch of pity flashed in Gong Juechen’s peach blossom eyes.

He pursed his lips slightly, then with a teasing smile, he said, ”Zhizhi, how about I give you a few acupuncture needles? It can help relieve a lot of the soreness and fatigue.”

Ye Zhi did know about acupuncture and upon hearing Gong Juechen suggest it, she opened her eyes: ”How?”

If there was a way to ease the soreness and fatigue, why not try it? That was the mindset with which she asked.

”Just a few points on your back, only that you’re wearing too many layers. You can only keep your undergarment on; otherwise, I might not hit the exact spots.”

It wasn’t like she’d be undressed, so upon hearing Gong Juechen’s comment, modern-minded Ye Zhi decisively removed her outer and middle garments, leaving only her white undergarment, then turned over, and lay face down on the bed, allowing Gong Juechen to needle her.

Gong Juechen’s mouth slightly agape, he was somewhat shocked by Ye Zhi’s decisiveness, unsure of how to react next. They weren’t a real couple; where could a woman undress to her undergarment and let a man see her like this?

Immediately afterward, Gong Juechen sighed in his heart: ”Is she really not from around here?”

And then, Gong Juechen thought to himself: ”Whether you are or not, since my heart is set on you, you can only be mine.”
