Chapter 1173: Chapter 1174: One-Armed General

An Jing continued, ”Originally, I planned to let Wild Goose Jade participate, but with her bare hands, she might not be as formidable as you. She uses a sword, but not as skillfully as Se Se. So, it will be you, me, and Se Se participating.”

Ye Zhi asked, ”Which General will you compete against?”

”General Liu Buli from Wolf Camp.”

”And Gong Juese?”

”General Xu Shangong from Tiger Camp.”

”When will the competition take place?”

”I’m not sure yet, but I will let you know once the date is set.”

An Jing and Ye Zhi talked as they walked back to the main courtyard.

In the main courtyard, Xiao Changyi was playing with four little ones in the yard. To be precise, they weren’t just playing; Xiao Changyi was teaching the youngsters how to use the Little wooden sword. Each of the four little ones held a Little wooden sword, slowly following the movements taught by Xiao Changyi.

Since the four little ones approached the training with 30% eagerness to learn and 70% playfulness, they were especially happy at the moment, smiles gracing their little faces.

Upon seeing An Jing’s return, they immediately stopped training and ran towards her. After embracing An Jing and talking for a while, they obediently returned to their spots and continued practicing the movements taught by their father, Xiao Changyi.

”Watch over them.”

Xiao Changyi first instructed Qin Er, who was standing in the courtyard, to take good care of the four little ones. Then he joined An Jing and Ye Zhi inside the house to discuss serious matters.

As soon as they entered the house, Ye Zhi excitedly and hurriedly asked, ”Brother-in-law, quickly tell me, what is General Qi Tengfei’s weakness?”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Changyi knew An Jing had already discussed the matter with Ye Zhi. Thus, he didn’t elaborate further, but slowly highlighted the important matter, ”He is incredibly strong, with particularly stable footing and formidable punches. His weakness, however, is being ticklish.”

”Ticklish?” Ye Zhi thought she heard wrong and even cleared her ears.

An Jing also thought she had misheard. That burly and robust man, afraid of being tickled?

”Yes,” Xiao Changyi affirmed decidedly. ”He isn’t ticklish anywhere else, just under his armpits. If someone touches his armpits, he can’t help but burst into laughter, tremble all over, and loses the strength to fight. It’s also for this reason that he never allows anyone to touch his armpits. If you can touch his armpits, rendering him powerless, your chances of defeating him will naturally increase significantly.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Zhi understood, ”So, if I can’t beat him, I just need to find an opportunity to touch his armpits to stand a chance to win.”

Xiao Changyi didn’t respond but picked up the teapot from the table and poured a cup of tea for An Jing.

Seeing the tea placed before her, An Jing naturally picked it up and took a sip before smilingly asking, ”Then, dear husband, what is General Liu Buli’s weakness, who is proficient in using the red tassel spear? I will be competing against him.”

Xiao Changyi said, ”He has only one arm.”

An Jing instantly fell silent, her attitude becoming solemn and respectful.

So did Ye Zhi.

Xiao Changyi continued, ”He is the only one-armed General in the military. His left arm was chopped off by the enemy during a battle. Initially, because he lost an arm, I suggested he leave the military camp and become a Civil Official, but he refused to leave. Moreover, to prove that he could still remain on the battlefield and continue fighting, he won a match against Meng Lanqing with just his one remaining arm.”

Even though Xiao Changyi did not explicitly state what General Liu Buli’s weakness was, An Jing understood that Liu Buli’s weakness was his missing left arm. During their competition, she could target his left side, potentially increasing her chances of victory.
