Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 847: Chapter 510: The Master Here Is...

”I was just...spacing out for three minutes?” Xu Xin hesitated for a moment, then asked.

”What do you mean ’just’!” Zeng Tao couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Three minutes is scary enough, okay! You were standing motionless right after stepping up, and we were all terrified!”

”Ying...” The furry bundle in his arms moved a bit, Xu Xin lowered his head to look, Keke was still sleeping peacefully in his embrace.

This little guy sure was sleeping soundly.

”So, you guys, after coming up here, did you feel nothing at all?” Xu Xin looked at the people around him and asked again.

The women exchanged glances and then shook their heads.

”No, it felt the same as it did down there.” Lou Fei’Er replied.

”Same here.” Jin Yue nodded.

”So, did you...see something?” Shi Wanyun’s eyes moved, understanding Xu Xin’s meaning, she asked, ”Did you have a hallucination?”

”Hallucination...” Xu Xin murmured to himself.

What he experienced just now couldn’t possibly be a hallucination.

But...

By calculating time, he should have been over there for a good two hours.

But here, he had only stood still in place for three minutes.

This really puzzled him.

Could it be the time flow is different in the two worlds?

But that doesn’t make sense...

If we calculate by this time flow ratio, three minutes to two hours, that’s a ratio of one to forty.

With this time flow ratio, if he spent such a long time in this world, several years should have already passed on Earth!

Yingying would have almost graduated from university!

But the fact is, based on the time he’s been in this world, the time flow should be about the same on both sides.

Eh?

He just forgot to ask Yingying how long it had been since he disappeared.

But it shouldn’t be far off, it hasn’t reached the time for him to start school yet, not much time has passed.

And there’s a clear contradiction between the two.

What’s going on?

Xu Xin frowned.

”What are you thinking about again?” Zeng Tao waved her little hand in front of his eyes, interrupting his thoughts, ”Let’s go quickly, we were really stuck whether to go forward or backward when you were dazed just now.”

”Ah, okay.” Xu Xin snapped back to reality, nodded.

He didn’t intend to tell the others about his situation just yet, it’s not a stable environment now, at least wait until they return to talk about it.

Moreover, he’s not fully trusting Shi Wanyun behind them right now.

He then began to observe the surroundings of the Crystal Palace’s second floor.

The second floor of the Crystal Palace had far more things compared to the first.

The palace was clearly more adorned.

The walls displayed some vague murals, by the walls stood cabinets that appeared incredibly luxurious at first glance, and several large floor-to-ceiling windows were open; outside was an open platform.

The platform was furnished with tables and chairs, and on the table...were those teacups and wine glasses?

However, all these objects were made of crystal emitting a shimmering white light.

”...This floor should be safe.” Relying on his intuition, Xu Xin said hesitantly.

”No danger? Really?” Lou Fei’Er glanced around.

”Um...I’ll just stay behind you.” Zeng Tao felt a bit scared.

After experiencing the powerful traps on the first floor, she didn’t dare to act alone anymore.

Those things were impossible to avoid!

Resurrection wouldn’t work; it would just turn you to ash!

”Hmm, it’s just my own feeling. But to be on the safe side, you all should stay behind me.”

With that, Xu Xin proceeded forward.

The women immediately followed him.

Behind them, Shi Wanyun also breathed a small sigh of relief.

She watched Xu Xin, her gaze shifted subtly.

...According to her source of information, had Xu Xin just seen their original world?

Did he actually see it?

They said that if he could see their original world, Earth, in this palace, she had to kill him.

But...

If he truly could see Earth, wouldn’t that mean he could potentially lead all of them back?

Perhaps...it’s best to observe him for now.

Stick to the previous plan.

Just stay stealthily beside him for now.

Even if those entities blame her later, she could say she was lurking beside him, waiting for the right moment but hadn’t found a chance yet.

She could manage both sides.

...

Xu Xin centered himself while walking within the palace.

The earlier conversation with his sister left him in a good mood, quite relaxed, plus he felt there was no danger here, so he kept a faint smile on his face throughout.

”What’s that smile for?” Lou Fei’Er found his expression curious and asked, ”In those three minutes, did you really see something pleasing?”

”...It’s rather complicated, I’ll explain once we get back.” Xu Xin replied with a smile.

Behind him, Shi Wanyun’s eyes moved.

It seemed her deduction was correct. She thought.

”What’s going on?” Zeng Tao came closer, ”What are you talking about?”

She noticed Xu Xin was walking more casually now and gradually lost her fear: ”What pretty things? Are you referring to the things around us? Let’s take these things, they look like treasures!”

”Are those things?” Xu Xin walked towards the stairs to the third floor, and while glancing at the crystal-crafted paintings, cabinets, tables, chairs, and chandeliers, shook his head: ”You can’t take them.”
