Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 979: Chapter 775: Shaer’s Love for All That Belongs

Unaware that he had crossed a significant threshold in his life, Hill finally calmed down after copying a book… He finally realized that he played games for fun, and so did others.

It’s just that their idea of happiness is different, and there’s no need to make a fuss over it.

In life, there are always gains and losses… It doesn’t matter if he can’t understand those calculations… After all, he has an emotional perception plugin, and his intuition is very sharp, so it’s almost impossible for others to outsmart him.

On the screen, the Undead Tribe continued to advance slowly… Hill wondered how many people realized the operation of ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ afterwards, but the reality was that most Undead Tribe families behaved more cooperatively.

Hill now suspected that ‘Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’ saying Old Dog’s one stone two birds wasn’t about him confronting those ladies… but that he was killing the chicken to scare the monkey.

Otherwise, with such a monotonous march day and night, there would have been many troubles.

Even those resurrected had already caught up and returned to their family ranks, following quietly, except for some who went to the allocation management to receive their Purple Worms, there weren’t many causing trouble in the team… Even the girls who liked to complain didn’t make much noise.

Anyway, they’re not the leaders, just follow along, and they can take the opportunity to watch other things… That’s the good part about playing games, if you lack ambition, no one will think you’re lacking motivation, everyone has their own way of playing.

The Little Fairies’ Spring Festival was coming to an end… without that beauty contest, the celebration almost ended after the basic seven days… Otherwise, the Little Fairies’ celebration duration is usually measured in months.

After observing in the garden for a while, Hill finally understood one thing: although for those higher-status Little Fairies, the most important thing about the Four Seasons Festival is to see if they can win the Queen’s favor and gain more rights in the Inner Court.

But for ordinary Little Fairies, the Queen is far away, unable to even see their existence, the Spring Festival is just to show their best side to get attention from the opposite sex… If they find someone they like who likes them too, they can try to get closer!

Only during the Summer Festival do Little Fairies decide after months of eye contact with their lovers whether to commit to love. After this time, single Little Fairies will have to wait for next year.

Anyway, couples together this year might break up next year, and Little Fairies willing to settle down and start families are few, so they still have the opportunity to have a tender and sweet love affair with their favorite person.

After autumn, it’s time to support their families, no Little Fairy would consider a lover during that time, participating in the Autumn and Winter Festivals is more about bringing home some provisions.

This is when ordinary Little Fairies prepare the most carefully for the Queen’s gifts, if the Queen… doesn’t even need her to like them… just noticing them would suffice, as anything the Queen casually rewards would bring a whole family’s happiness for a year.

Little Fairies still fear the Lily of the Valley a bit… Little Fairies of too low Level can’t even withstand the restrained pressure from the Lily of the Valley.

Vila, at times like this, wouldn’t leave her subjects, sitting with them on a Blue-leaf Tree to Hill’s right… This is a Toril tree the Little Fairies asked Hill to plant, they like to extract deep lake blue dye from the Blue-leaf Tree’s sap and crushed leaves.

The Little Fairies were displeased with the pace of the Undead Tribe’s advance, thinking that after their festival, the Undead Tribe should encounter some special races in the Underdark… Not being able to survive underground, they were full of curiosity about the creatures there.

After all, they sacrificed the most important flower wreath beauty contest of the Spring Festival to watch the spectacle… but Vila was satisfied with this, if she really wanted to go to Kalinsan, it was better for fewer Little Fairies to form families.

Once a Little Fairy starts a family, they wouldn’t consider activities like adventure anymore, they would only want to live with their family in the safest place… Vila didn’t want to go against Hill’s will, her friend is very kind, not liking those who use power to bully others.

Vila wasn’t bothered by it… unlike Titania who was shameless, Hill was willing to protect her and Oberon because of his kindness!

How could she possibly dislike Hill’s kindness just because it might affect her a little?

Vila joyfully sat on a branch, feeling the Little Fairies’ reverence towards her… Having a friend with such a firm will as Hill was the best luck she’s had in ten thousand years!

Moreover, as she gazed at the beautiful Floating Castle, just thinking that even if she failed and had to flee, Agleya would kindly welcome her again, Vila felt enveloped by warm winds.

Vila raised her hand to catch a gently falling Moonlight Flower… The beautiful flower twirled and disappeared in her palm, this kind of flower, formed from moonlight, only appeared so frequently in the rooftop garden of Agleya’s Floating Castle… Before this, only a few Moonlight Temples with Suren’s bestowed Treasures would occasionally witness the drifting Moonlight Flowers… indicating that Suren was really fond of this beautiful little garden, frequently watching over it.

The Lady of the White Night must really like her friend.

Vila couldn’t help but tilt her head to glance at Hill, gently laughing… Every time she saw the Moonlight Flower, it would momentarily make her forget those ambitions and desires, making her want to stay by her friend’s side… Unfortunately, once daybreak came, she would be filled with fighting spirit again.

The Little Flower Fairy thought nonchalantly, is it the moonlight that is too tender?

When the Little Fairies refocused their attention on observing the Undead Tribe, the struggling Undead Tribe also found their next target… They should have already counted as having left the outer underground world of the Underdark, reaching the Underdark beneath the shadows.

Perhaps it was because the Shadow Weave had returned to the control of the Weave that the influence on the Undead Tribe in the Underdark was not significant… They only had a debuff that lowered perception, and the previous restrictions that negatively affected only the Kind Alignment had all vanished.

Of course, the luckiest thing for the Undead Tribe was… Shaer’s initial recognition was still in effect, although this Goddess of the Night had been in a long depression and refused to give her followers any feedback, the more this was so, the followers of Shaer, who knew how terrifying their Main God was, would only respect and never defy her words.

Although Shaer’s followers had become accustomed to forgetting their misery… they were very clear that their Main God never forgets.

In Sword Bay, which stretches from Kalinsan to Luskan in the Underdark, other than those races with their own faith, the idle forces were mostly under a deity named Ebrandor, who managed large caves, underground cities, and the Underdark.

However, in the Years of Turmoil when the Pantheon was driven down from the Stellar Realm by AO, this deity with only Lower Rank Divine Power was killed by Shaer who then usurped his divinity, continuing to grant spells under the name Ebrandor.

Afterward, Shaer used Ebrandor’s church to create enough trouble for Suren, who couldn’t understand why the chaotic-neutral Ebrandor would target her… Until people discovered the drifting form of the large lizard in the Stellar Realm.

Now, although many races in the Underdark still worship Ebrandor, their faith had long been directed towards Shaer, and the Underdark beneath Sword Bay is the stronghold of these followers.

Yet these Undead Tribe barging into their controlled areas were a big problem, nobody knew if the goddess had any plans for these guys… So as long as the Undead Tribe didn’t show intentions to occupy the entire Underdark, Shaer’s followers would tend to step back.

Hill had always assumed this, after all, it was basically brainless monsters that attacked the Undead Tribe, which was nearly impossible in the Underworld.

But until they reached the true Underdark and didn’t encounter any enemy commanding Shadow Charms or nocturnal creatures, Hill was certain of his inner suspicion.

So he couldn’t help but instruct List, “Go and tell William, let him see how good his revered goddess truly is to him, and make sure the Undead Tribe doesn’t ruin this goodwill.”

In this world of Toril, only AO and Suren could make Shaer swallow humiliation.

Although this lady had always wanted to destroy the world… but she also knew that under AO’s control, it was impossible to achieve this purpose… She just didn’t want to admit defeat.

Anyway, no matter how many times she lost, Shaer could never truly perish… If she really died, Toril would definitely explode outright.

So establishing such friendly relations with Shaer, for them as outsiders to Toril, was truly very fortunate… Hill couldn’t believe just a few sincere praises from William would make Shaer behave in this way!

Perhaps even the Goddess of the Night would find praise from outsiders uninvolved with any interest ties with Toril to be purer and more sincere?

Hill didn’t understand, but felt very fortunate indeed, thus, he needed to work harder to maintain this friendly attitude.

List quickly returned, “His Majesty William said he knows… On the first day the Undead Tribe entered the Underworld, he presented a visiting gift to the Goddess of the Night and got ‘casual’ permission.”

His Majesty William said, for now, the Goddess of the Night hopes the Undead Tribe can clean up the Underdark.”

Hill couldn’t help but blink… He finally understood why William said nothing initially until he asked… Shaer, who suffered a great wound, must be extremely sensitive and irritable, requiring William to be cautious.

But cleaning up the Underdark?

It couldn’t be for the Dwarves, those guys weren’t qualified to attract Shaer’s attention… So was Rose planning something?
