Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 955: Chapter 751: The Daily Life of Dragon Taming Begins

Lynn hurriedly met with this strange procession. He was originally supposed to wait for them at the foot of White Dragon Mountain, but upon discovering the crowd gathering, he had to clear the road with the City Guard.

The Agleya citizens were still somewhat reserved… Although it was also his first time seeing all the believers of Tyr come out as families to watch the spectacle, at least they made way for the road, standing honestly at the sides… Even letting the Dwarves and Gnomes come to the front, knowing they wouldn’t block the view with their child-like height.

The elves made it quite simple… Hill’s habit of dividing the road into main road, sidewalk, and trees along the way benefited these guys who liked to hang on trees to watch the excitement… Lynn noticed with a twitch in his eye that some City Guards off-duty were also hanging in the trees.

Fortunately, the little fairies were still a bit worried about those White Dragons lying on the cars, so they didn’t dare rush to the side of the car to join the fun.

When Lynn found that the Paladins of Tyr were slowly appearing at the end of the road, he had to quicken his pace and stand in front of the leading Undead Female Priest… The lady was obviously holding a stomach full of anger, even the Light of the Stars revolving around her head seemed a bit listless.

The ‘Old Age Striking King’ jumped off the wolverine, frowning at Lynn, and said, “These little brats, they chase a rabbit for half a day on the road… It took a lot of effort for us to catch them all. Fortunately, most of them can’t fly high, and those who can fly aren’t fast… But catching them while walking along the road drove everyone insane by the end.

To prevent them from running around, we simply modified our own carriages into this state… They were originally very expensive, okay! Now they don’t even seem worth 1 Gold Coin!

Can Hill get them to stay obediently in the territory?

This’s literally hundreds of crazy beasts! The biggest, completely impossible to reason with kind… isn’t Hill afraid Agleya will get wrecked?”

Lynn shrugged off the remarks, only giving a curious glance at the row of caged transports behind her: “Why insist on turning them into cages?”

Using the Undead Tribe’s own car equipment makes sense though, as the White Dragon’s teeth are quite sturdy, and a typical Toril carriage can’t withstand so many chomping mouths.

The corner of the Striking King’s mouth twisted down sharply: “Heh!

They get scared without seeing outside and howl tremendously… At first, we used our own open-roof carriages.

As you saw… We had to stop halfway and modify the carriages… Creating so many iron bars was really a hassle for us too!

Changing back costs another sum once home… This mission was a real loss!

And it’s not the iron bars on the cage trapping them; it’s those ladies on the roof who caught them trying to sneak away and then beat them hard.

I now understand why Hill limited the contract of White Dragons to adult ones… Intelligence is indeed the most crucial aspect.”

Lynn turned his face to the side, controlling his laughter before turning back: “You all really had a hard time! I’ll now take you to the White Dragon Mountains.”

Fortunately, the Undead Tribe didn’t mind being watched by the Agleya citizens at all. Accustomed to the number and enthusiasm of onlookers in the Undead Tribe, facing tens of thousands of gazes, their expressions stayed unchanged.

The convoy reached the edge of the mountains and finally stopped by a small lake.

The Undead Tribe members gazed in surprise at the towering mountain already surrounded by tall trees, with its base even crawling with thorny vines, and occasionally hearing sounds from livestock inside.

Only beside the small lake, where two tall Dam Trees formed a gate with their long branches, was there a path leading up the mountain.

The ‘Old Age Striking King’ asked suspiciously: “White Dragons can fly! How does this stop anyone?”

Lynn smiled, simply saying: “You can open the cages now.”

The Undead Tribe looked at each other but, since it was part of their task, they just followed through, prioritizing the task reward.

Soon they had all the cages open, and those adult White Dragons flew down, standing outside the Dam Trees’ gate and craning their necks to look inside.

Lynn watched them either whispering or kicking around, with only a few young dragons cautiously half-spread their wings, watching the White Dragons ahead with vigilant eyes, and he barely held back a sigh.

He spoke coldly: “Now, you may enter the White Dragon Mountains. This is the condition agreed upon by the Lord of Agleya and the White Dragon Queen Elvia Tulais; only White Dragons staying here will have the qualification to contract with the Teraxil Elves in the future.

But you are still free to leave at any time… Anyone, even the descendants of Elvia Tulais, will not be welcomed back once they choose to depart. Contract qualifications won’t be available again.

The mountains have ample food, streams, and lakes, all amenities equipped. Nesting materials have also been placed at appropriate locations for you to choose freely.

If you wish to visit the nearby sea or the lake at the other side of the territory, just inform the Vine Guard before leaving.”

Lynn knocked three times on the Dam Tree, and immediately a purple-red vine slid down from the tall canopy: “This is the Demigod Vine, the guardian of the mountains… You can seek his help in case of danger.

After you enter the mountains, the vine will place a branch of its own on you, mainly to monitor that you don’t stray too far or too long from the mountains… It will remind you when it’s time to return home… Absolutely do not cause trouble in human towns. The Lord of Agleya has already agreed with Elvia Tulais that if any White Dragon attacks humans, expulsion will be immediate.

Naughty children will be punished… To be honest, I think you at most will just run away and not return home, young dragons going to human territory… Dragon-hide clothes made from young dragon skin are a luxury sought after by human nobles, and I’m sure they’d be delighted to receive some delivered to their doorstep.

If anyone intends to leave the territory… Although I can’t fathom why any White Dragon would give up a life without worries only to gnaw on Ice Plain bugs, no one will stop you from leaving.

Everything depends on your own decision, Agleya will only act according to the agreement.”

Lynn said these words in Draconic, ensuring every word could be understood by these young dragons.

Watching Hill from afar, there was a peculiar feeling: Lynn speaks Draconic as if he’s better at it than him!

Perhaps it’s due to frequent interactions with Terry… or maybe he practiced with Terry beforehand?

Hill glanced at the Gold Dragon and Mercury Dragon hidden in the Green Forest, secretly watching the commotion: If it were other chromatic dragons, as giant dragons of a kind alignment, they certainly wouldn’t be pleased with such neighbors.

But White Dragons… without dragon people, even metallic dragons who tend to cause less trouble would raise a few White Dragons as enforcers.

The attitude towards White Dragons, metallic dragons might be even more amiable than chromatic dragons.

Possibly because among their predecessors, someone truly managed to nurture an orderly good White Dragon, many metallic dragons are interested in replicating that miracle… This is also why chromatic dragons get infuriated at the sight of a White Dragon.

Even the Chromatic Dragon Queen has nothing to say, only wants to curse… It’s always easy for goodness to fall into evil, but the other way around is exceedingly difficult.

The Undead Tribe looked bewildered at these young or small White Dragons, wobbling as they walked into the mountains, flapping their wings, their scales glistened in the sunlight like mirrors… Not one tried to stir up trouble, all obediently accepted the slender vine hanging from their ankles.

The ‘Old Age Striking King’s’ hands were trembling: “So they do understand human words? They just cause trouble knowing we’re lenient?”

She suddenly turned to her White Dragon companion: “Andria!”

A White Dragon with a long neck slowly approached, wrapping the female priest onto its head with its tail: “White Dragons only obey strong leaders, when this Half-Elf spoke, the nearby terrifying vine exerted enough pressure on the young dragons.

They understand very well, this is the final ultimatum. Disobedience truly means death.

That’s why they behave so obediently… None of us possesses such overpowering strength, in their eyes we lack deterrence… Saying anything is futile, in their minds, so what if they infuriate us, they won’t die anyway.

White Dragon whelps, they might even be dumber than those stupid dogs you mentioned… Is beating them really effective?

Only fear engrained in the bloodline or soul truly works.”

The female priest discontentedly laid on her head: “It’s really annoying! If only I’d known, I’d let those little brats storm that Mage Town!”

Andria asked puzzledly: “What’s the point of entering? The Lord of Agleya is so formidable, only the crazy Haber Family would dare to attack his dragon caravan.

Though I also wish those guys were a bit more foolish, after all, it’s the Haber Family!

One heist and I’m set!”

“Can you not… talk about robbery every time?” the Sanda King said speechlessly, “Even if we’re up to something, we should stand on the side of justice, you know?”

Lynn’s face changed, directly saying: “This lady, please be mindful of your speaking audience and environment… Hill hopes for White Dragons to walk a better path within the rules, not just learn some cunning tricks.”

The ‘Old Age Striking King’ rolled her eyes: “Hill’s not that crazy… He merely hopes White Dragons don’t cause trouble in his territory… Altering the racial traits of White Dragons, the Hill I know wouldn’t bother.

Andria, what should you do when encountering a superior being, like Hill?”

“Woof woof.” The White Dragon barked twice without hesitation.

“Smart!” The Sanda King pulled out a roasted chicken from her bag, squatted down and directly stuffed it into Andria’s big mouth, “Let’s talk about that Long Saddle Town again.

Ugh, that house is too ugly, it really hurts my beautiful fantasies from the past!

As long as the young White Dragons enter… I’m telling you, even if the Haber Family repeatedly orders no trouble, there’s bound to be someone who can’t resist their greedy desires… The value of a young dragon is enough to turn Haber into a lapdog.

Once someone makes a move, hehe… hit them, hit them, still hit them!”
