Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 249: Chapter 120: The Beauty Gifts Me a Pony

That kind of feeling is the most pleasant.

However, Li Younan did not express these thoughts.

...

In the distance, Dan Dan shielded her eyes from the sun with her hands, squinting in the direction of the two horses, and said blankly, ”Xiaoyang, it seems like your buddy is getting involved with that actress.”

Huang Xiaoyang nodded: ”I noticed.”

Shortly after, Li Younan and Lan Yiyi each returned on horseback.

The ranch owner hurriedly went up to greet them.

They both dismounted and, after a bit of negotiation, both the crew and Huang Xiaoyang confirmed the rental of their respective horses.

Then it was time to part ways again. Lan Yiyi’s crew needed to practice as several actors couldn’t ride at all, and they needed to at least be able to pose on horseback.

Li Younan and his group also had to take advantage of the time to head to Agate Grassland before the weather got too chilly.

Lan Yiyi’s assistant, still the same one as before, recognized Li Younan and was equally surprised to encounter him here.

They exchanged a few pleasantries, but there wasn’t much to talk about, so they parted a bit awkwardly.

Li Younan and his two companions rode two horses, guided by a horse trainer, in a specific direction.

After parting with Li Younan, Lan Yiyi was visibly a bit absent-minded.

The assistant called out to Lan Yiyi several times, but she was in a daze.

Having been around Lan Yiyi for so long, the assistant roughly guessed what was on Lan Yiyi’s mind and cautiously said, ”Yiyi, meeting Li Younan here is quite the fate.”

Lan Yiyi glanced at her assistant and sighed softly: ”What’s the point of fate?”

The assistant blinked, looking a bit puzzled.

Lan Yiyi was feeling rather stifled.

Not frustrated, just stifled.

They were heading to the scene, and the distance wasn’t that far, easy to reach on foot, and nobody took notice of them.

Actually, this stifled feeling had been there since she last parted with Li Younan.

She had asked for Li Younan’s WeChat, and he initially didn’t give it, asking her to follow his video platform instead, but then he eventually gave it to her.

At first, she was happy, but soon Lan Yiyi realized something disappointing... What good is having his WeChat?

She tried messaging Li Younan, but the conversations were lukewarm, like seeing where he had been in his videos and then coming up with two seemingly interesting questions. Li Younan would always reply patiently, but the conversation would end there.

Her emotions were a bit tangled.

Unlike other small celebrities, although Lan Yiyi was a minor actress, her status was more like a wealthy father satisfying his daughter’s whimsical wishes, allowing her to play with acting a bit, so deep down, she still felt like an ordinary person.

Thus, Lan Yiyi didn’t put on airs as a celebrity towards those around her. Her assistant had been with her since she entered the industry, almost like a friend, so she would share some personal thoughts with her.

After thinking for a moment, Lan Yiyi told her assistant, ”I have a good impression of Li Younan.”

The assistant was momentarily stunned but then nodded slightly: ”That’s not really surprising...”

Talking about her feelings made Lan Yiyi slightly bashful, and she averted her gaze, saying, ”Of course, I can’t say I like him yet, as we’ve only just started getting to know each other.”

”You know... he’s kind of a mysterious guy. Do you remember when we first met him? It was by chance that he became a stand-in actor for our crew, doing stunts that only stunt doubles could do, and I was just curious then.”

The assistant chuckled, ”He’s also very handsome; curiosity had something to do with that, right?”

Lan Yiyi didn’t deny it and nodded, ”More handsome than the leading actor. Don’t interrupt, let me continue.”

Lan Yiyi seemed lost in thought, ”Later, I started following his short video platform and discovered he’s a travel vlogger. But calling him just a travel vlogger doesn’t really fit. After leaving Hengdian, he traveled to many places, did some carpentry, modified his car, did parkour in Xiamen, and could make delicious food.”

”Recently, he went back to his hometown and remodeled his grandparents’ old house by himself, doing all the carpentry, electrical work, everything himself.”

At this point, Lan Yiyi reminisced and couldn’t help but laugh softly, ”I even thought, don’t you need a license for electrical work? But later someone explained in the comments that an electrician’s license is something you check when hiring someone; doing something at home yourself, as long as it doesn’t affect public safety, nobody cares. Besides, he seemed so professional while working on the wiring.”

The assistant blinked and stayed silent, seeing that Lan Yiyi was completely immersed.

Lan Yiyi continued, ”The small house he renovated turned out so beautiful, even made a few guesthouses.”

”I was thinking, when I have free time, I want to visit the guesthouse at his grandparents’ home.”
