Chapter 248: Chapter 120: The Beauty Gives Me a Pony [6,400 Words!]

Li Younan’s black horse wasn’t fast, and the white horse galloping this way gradually slowed down too.

The two horses stopped in the middle.

After the initial astonishment, Lan Yiyi’s emotions gradually calmed down, though her eyes still showed surprise as she sized up Li Younan on the black horse. After a while, she opened her mouth and said, ”You know how to ride a horse?”

Li Younan gave a wry smile and said, ”Shouldn’t you first ask how come I meet you here?”

Li Younan thought that two people who hadn’t seen each other for a long time, meeting again in such a large country without any prior indication, was more shocking than seeing one of them on horseback and the other also knowing how to ride.

But bringing up this matter now clearly shows that, at least, it holds more weight in the other person’s eyes.

Lan Yiyi was stunned for a moment, then smiled somewhat embarrassingly: ”This... this is quite formal, didn’t expect to see you here again.” She lowered her head slightly, stroking the mane of the white horse, then looked up, ”But I’m still very surprised that you can also ride a horse, and so well at that.”

Li Younan didn’t explain why he could ride a horse.

They hadn’t met for quite a long time. Before, Lan Yiyi proactively added him on WeChat, but in reality, even though they added each other, they hadn’t chatted much, both being too busy.

On the other hand, Lan Yiyi would leave comments under his videos, but Li Younan no longer frequently checked the comments under his videos, so even if Lan Yiyi often left comments, Li Younan most likely never saw them.

Li Younan turned his horse, riding alongside Lan Yiyi, slowly heading back.

While riding, Li Younan briefly explained the purpose of his trip to Inner Mongolia.

After listening, Lan Yiyi’s face lit up with a smile: ”It’s really such a fate, you came with friends to take wedding photos and still ran into us.”

Li Younan nodded: ”Yes, indeed.”

Lan Yiyi eyed the horse underneath Li Younan, which was happily trotting under his control.

Suddenly, Lan Yiyi’s expression turned somewhat resentful, glaring fiercely at Li Younan.

She didn’t hide this look, letting Li Younan see it clearly, which made Li Younan somewhat bewildered.

Lan Yiyi withdrew her gaze and huffed: ”Every time I comment on your videos, you never reply.”

Li Younan blinked and coughed lightly: ”I didn’t even know which comment was yours, there are at least a few hundred comments, sometimes even over a thousand comments, can’t really read every single one.”

Upon hearing this explanation, Lan Yiyi naturally understood, yet she still sighed slightly.

She had watched step by step as Li Younan grew from a small video maker to such a large creator.

Compared to Li Younan, her own acting career was almost at a standstill.

If it weren’t for her dad investing, no director would actively approach her for significant roles... let alone leading roles, even secondary roles were out of reach.

Although her family situation didn’t require her to earn money from this, she still felt somewhat unwilling.

After all, she still hadn’t played Hua Mulan yet.

While chatting, naturally they brought up the topic of horse riding.

Lan Yiyi started talking to herself: ”When I saw someone riding that black horse over, I was surprised, thinking it must be someone from the ranch. After all, riding so fast clearly shows they are good at it. So, when you appeared in front of me, I was really startled.”

Li Younan just smiled and asked, ”You ride pretty well too.”

Lan Yiyi nodded, with a trace of pride in her voice: ”I grew up around horses, I’m from Xilinhot, do you know Xilinhot?”

Li Younan pondered for a moment, then nodded: ”Isn’t it called the ’Horse Capital of China’?”

Lan Yiyi was a bit surprised and nodded: ”Your knowledge is really deep; when I was in university, many people didn’t even know Xilinhot.”

Li Younan found it amusing that this was considered deep knowledge.

Li Younan said, ”I’m very interested in horses, so I pay more attention to that.”

Lan Yiyi’s eyes sparkled: ”You also like riding, right, you ride so well, you must really enjoy it.

This is definitely a topic we share.

Lan Yiyi leisurely talked about her childhood experiences with horse riding.

”Later on, as I grew older, I got tired of it. Compared to driving, horse riding isn’t very enjoyable; the saddle is hard and it jostles your butt painfully.”

”Although a skilled rider doesn’t fully sit on the saddle, after a long ride, the thighs, calves, and waist get sore and painful. Each time I got back home, it didn’t take long before I didn’t want to ride anymore. But being away from home for a while, I’d miss my horses terribly.”

Li Younan listened silently, and to be honest, he was quite envious of Lan Yiyi.

Actually, this is for the best.

If most of the year was spent at the pasture, day in and day out with horses as part of life, surrounded by grasslands, it would become rather dull.

Like Lan Yiyi, having horses at home, with someone to care for them, working or living away, and occasionally flying back to ride with old friends across the grasslands, it seems like all life’s troubles would disappear.
