Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 232: Chapter 115: Rest After a Long Journey

I didn’t delay much and went straight home.

Li Younan really likes eating dumplings.

When he came home, his mom had made a large plate of fresh dumplings and put them directly into the pot.

While the dumplings were boiling in the pot, his mom turned on the TV outside to hear some noise, and then chatted with Li Younan, asking him about his travel experience.

Of course, his mom also followed Li Younan’s short video account, watching intently each time he posted a new video.

That’s also why Li Younan never features anything related to danger in his videos.

Li Younan had edited some interesting segments from his journey to share with his mom, and took out a black amulet made from leftover material from a bracelet he had made earlier.

His mom was delighted as always.

Since he first remembered things, Li Younan had never heard his mom say anything like ”I did this or that for you, I bought you this or that gift.”

There was a time when he thought that was the inevitable interaction mode between close people.

But later, he met many people and saw the ways different close relationships interacted.

He found that many people, especially parents, actually often said such things.

Initially, Li Younan instinctively felt uncomfortable hearing them... especially during the days spent with Yang Ting.

Later, he pondered why he felt so uncomfortable.

He thought if he constantly emphasized to his mom, ”I bought this for you, I bought that for you... I did so much for you...,” how uncomfortable his mom would feel.

For someone with a more volatile temper, they might angrily say, ”Don’t buy me these things anymore, I’m tired of hearing you nag.”

While his mom would probably just feel somewhat aggrieved and ignore him.

Even if such expressions are unintentional, they’re not okay.

Yet this silent, tender love is vividly remembered.

Li Younan could even recall the sweater his mom personally knitted for him when he was three or four years old.

Similarly, his mom would treasure this amulet, whether or not Li Younan mentioned it, she would never forget.

After finishing this journey, Li Younan decided to recuperate at home for a few days.

Incidentally, he planned to think about the next travel destination.

Of course, the more important reason was to spend time at home with his mom.

Even though it was National Day, his mom happened to be scheduled for duty.

During these days, Li Younan stayed at home to buy groceries, cook meals, and drove his mom to and from work.

The dishes he made tasted great, and his mom praised them endlessly, with no repetition each day.

Regarding Li Younan’s improved cooking skills, his mom had a bit of a misunderstanding.

Li Younan knew there was a small incident related to this misunderstanding.

It stemmed from his mom never asking where he learned those complex dishes.

One day, Li Younan curiously asked during dinner, ”Mom, aren’t you curious about why I can cook so many dishes?”

Calmly, his mom replied, ”Of course, it’s because you studied them diligently at home. You’re always meticulous when doing things for loved ones, and I trust you; whenever you earnestly do something, you succeed.”

Li Younan was somewhat surprised, and then he felt a warmth.

Days passed like this, and the National Day holiday was over, people gradually returned to their workplaces.

Early one morning, getting up just after dawn, while Li Younan was planning where to go next, Huang Xiaoyang called.

Bluntly asked, ”Any plans lately?”

Li Younan replied, ”No, what’s up?”

Huang Xiaoyang said, ”I’m going to shoot wedding photos, come with me.”
