The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Who Gave You the Confidence to Be So Arrogant and Domineering?_1

Alexis Vasquez, Rusty Schneider, and the others, seeing that Martin Baker had already signed, did not dare hesitate any longer and one by one they signed and pressed their fingerprints.

The notice of production suspension and rectification from the city inspection team was about to arrive, and if they didn’t sell now, their shares would probably become worthless paper.

Once everyone had finished signing, Cody Mason immediately signed, stamped the company seal, and quickly all contracts were signed and done.

The contracts officially took effect, and combined with the shares of the Baker Family, Alexis Vasquez, Rusty Schneider, and others, a total of 44% fell into the hands of Brilliant Investment.

Cody Mason gathered all the contracts and smiled, ”Mr. Flores, I’ll take my leave first.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I’ll see you out!”

Cody Mason quickly declined, Blake Simmons had warned him early on to be extremely respectful towards Carson Flores!

Blake Simmons had said that the greatest achievement would be to handle the matters entrusted by Mr. Flores!

Cody Mason left the Miller Group and got into his car, immediately dialing Blake Simmons’ number.

”Mr. Simmons, the task is done. We acquired 44% of the shares for about less than 40% of the market price. Mr. Flores is very satisfied.”

Blake Simmons chuckled, ”Well done! Next, your job is to complete all contract procedures and consolidate all the scattered shares. Later, when the time is right, I will gift all the shares, so get ready for me.”

Cody Mason was shocked, knowing the gift’s value was no small thing!

To give it to Carson Flores?

”Yes, Mr. Simmons.”

Blake Simmons said with a laugh, ”After you finish this task, I’ll continue to invest additional funds into Brilliant Investment.”

Cody Mason’s eyes widened with joy, ”Thank you, Mr. Simmons! I will get everything ready as soon as possible!”

...

After Cody Mason had left, Carson Flores made a call to Ray Singleton.

With the shares of Martin Baker and the others in hand, there was no longer any need to beat around the bush with Hugo Combs.

Deal with him directly!

Since he was an official, it was best to use official means to deal with him, which surely would hurt him to the core.

Not long after hanging up, Carson Flores received a call from Shirley Miller.

The inspection team was about to arrive, with Hugo Combs leading.

”Don’t worry, I have everything under control. Hugo Combs won’t be able to jump around for much longer!”

Carson Flores slowly strolled to the office area, only to find the inspection team had arrived and was negotiating with Shirley Miller.

Carson Flores did not rush over but hid in the corner, watching from a distance.

Shirley Miller did not visit Hugo Combs’ house last night, and he was probably burning with anger now. If he saw Carson Flores, he would undoubtedly ridicule him, and might unintentionally mention Samantha Tate, which could complicate matters if Shirley Miller overheard.

”Ms. Miller, after auditing your company’s factory, we found numerous serious issues. After discussing, we have decided to issue a notice of production suspension and rectification with a two-month deadline. Once rectification is finished, you may apply for a re-audit. Before a complete pass of the audit, unauthorized production is forbidden; otherwise, your production qualification certificate will be revoked.”

Hugo Combs spoke with righteousness and seriousness, a demeanor of dealing with official business, but deep in his eyes lay malevolence.

Refuse me and see what I’ll do to you!

If I can’t destroy you now, I’ll write my name backward!

Shirley Miller’s expression was cold. Although she was not clear on what exactly Carson Flores had done, his words gave her strong confidence at this moment.

”Group Leader Hugo, I believe you bear hostility towards the Miller Group and are maliciously creating a crisis using your official position. I will appeal to your superiors!”

Hugo Combs coldly said, ”You have the right to appeal, but I advise you to spend less time on futile efforts and think more about how to rectify the issues. After all, if the rectification fails, the audit cannot pass, and there could be an indefinite production suspension, preventing the resumption of normal operations. By then, don’t come up short on even paying your employees’ wages.”

Shirley Miller retorted with a cold laugh, ”You need not worry about our company’s problems. We will surely appeal against the inspection team’s audit results. In Polgel City, you, Hugo Combs, can’t cover the sky with one hand!”

Hugo Combs sneered, ”It seems you have quite the opinions about our audit results. Go ahead and report it then. I tell you today, I may not manage other areas, but in environmental rectification for enterprises, I am the authority, and what I say is the final word...”

”Nonsense!”

Before Hugo Combs could finish, an angry shout suddenly rang out from behind him.

Hugo Combs’ expression changed, and he turned around with a dark face to see who dared to shout at him like that, but as he turned, he saw Zayd Singleton approaching rapidly and his face went pale, with beads of sweat appearing on his forehead in an instant.

Why was Zayd Singleton here?

Zayd Singleton walked up to Hugo Combs with large strides, his eyes filled with anger as he stared at him, ”Hugo Combs, repeat what you just said!”

Hugo Combs’ face turned pale, and with a fearful tone, he asked, ”Minister, what brings you here?”

Zayd Singleton’s face was steely with anger as he coldly said, ”I came to see what the ’heaven’ of our inspection team looks like.”

Hugo Combs tried to put on a smile, his mouth dry as he stammered a defense, ”Minister, I was just joking with Ms. Miller.”

”Joking?”

Zayd Singleton glared at this subordinate who had caused him so much trouble with unrestrained words, wishing he could just slap him to death right there!

”Who gave you the right to seek personal gains under the guise of public duty, the audacity to be so arrogant, and the permission to disregard laws and regulations by uttering such monstrous words?”
