Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 200: Chapter 198: Return to the Scattered Immortal Garden

Looking at the item Lei Pengpeng took out, Gu Xi was momentarily startled. It was a small flask containing the spirit of a dragon hatchling.

[Black Dragon Soul (Hatchling): The soul of a newly-born black dragon that died shortly after its birth. Though it died early, it still counts as a Dragon Spirit, which can be used as a core material for creating a Bone Dragon.]

Gazing at the [Black Dragon Soul] in front of him, Gu Xi slowly shook his head.

Gu Xi’s reaction surprised Lei Pengpeng a bit.

”Huh? Didn’t you specifically go to the Scattered Immortal Garden to collect Dragon Blood Crystals and Dragon Steel to prepare for making a Bone Dragon? Even though this is a hatchling, it’s still a Dragon Spirit. Why don’t you want it?”

”I already have a Bone Dragon. It’s not that I don’t want it, but it feels somewhat useless to me.

I might as well use undead means to piece together a Bone Dragon or Ghost Dragon myself. This hatchling-level soul at most could be used for a patchwork Bone Dragon, Level 7 type, and only one.

This doesn’t mean much to me. I’d rather try and find Architectural Design Plans for the Dragon Tomb.”

”Alright, you have the Three Divine Skills, you’re impressive.”

Lei Pengpeng realized that Gu Xi’s considerations differed from others.

Other Undead Mages focus on supplementing their troops and strengthening their corps, or finding enhancement avenues from other routes.

Gu Xi, on the other hand, considered farming activities.

Anything unrelated to farming, he didn’t want.

Such clear objectives often lead to greater distances covered.

Lei Pengpeng thought for a moment and said to Gu Xi: ”I don’t have anything else good on hand, but we can exchange contact information. If I find any Architectural Design Plans or something like a White Bone Demon Lamp in the future, I’ll sell them directly to you.”

Seeing Lei Pengpeng with a look of having found a sponsor, Gu Xi also laughed.

”Sure, I’m currently collecting various Architectural Design Plans. If you have any, just send them to me, I’ll take them all.”

Lei Pengpeng eagerly agreed, and they exchanged their Raven contact details.

After Lei Pengpeng left, Gu Xi lost the interest to linger there any longer.

Currently, the thing Gu Xi wanted to do most was quickly find a safe place to enter Yalidow City.

First, release the Undead Corps frozen in the Undead Calamity Array, and then place the newly acquired White Bone Magic Tower inside Yalidow City.

As for other matters, Gu Xi had no time to care for them now.

Everything would have to wait until he dealt with things inside Yalidow City first.

After packing up, Gu Xi headed towards the nearby blue Teleportation Gate, holding his Cold Wind Staff.

That was the portal back to the Scattered Immortal Garden. Gu Xi had seen many players returning before.

So he didn’t linger and walked towards the Teleportation Gate.

Soon after Gu Xi left, a group of players arrived looking for him.

”Where is he? He was just here a moment ago.”

A player wearing a black cloak and holding a short magic staff began searching around.

”Xiaoliu, are you sure about this person?”

”Of course, I was standing nearby and heard everything. That guy didn’t haggle when buying things and even said he would buy all the Architectural Design Plans available. Hearing that, I went to find Big Brother.”

”As long as he’s real. You guys, start looking. We’ve had that batch of goods stuck with us for some time now, and it hasn’t been moving. Now that we’ve found this guy, if the goods sell, I’ll treat everyone to the Celestial Fragrance Tower for three days and nights.”

”Awesome!”

”Big Brother is generous!”

”...”

But by this time, Gu Xi had already walked through the Teleportation Gate.

Upon entering the portal, Gu Xi thought he’d feel that tugging sensation again.

Unexpectedly, his surroundings changed with a mere flicker before his eyes.

He returned to the ground level of the Scattered Immortal Garden, right at the General’s Platform.

Gu Xi glanced around, noticing many players dispersing from the General’s Platform.

After hesitating for a moment, Gu Xi released the Evil Coffin, quickly jumping onto it, and began retracing his steps to Du Wushuang’s rented house.

He gently pushed the door, only to find it tightly locked, with no signs of anyone inside.

This concerned Gu Xi a bit; after all, this recent battle was extremely dangerous, and he was unsure how little Du Wushuang was now.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi sat down before Du Wushuang’s door. As a portal-like shadow of Yaliduwei City Gate appeared behind him, an owl flew out from the gate.

Gu Xi wrote a note and tied it to the owl’s claw, then instructed the owl.

”Go find the owner of this house.”

The owl glanced at Du Wushuang’s home, seemingly locking onto something, and then spread its wings and took off.

Seeing this, Gu Xi felt somewhat relieved.

If the owl could fly out, it meant the person was still alive. Regardless of the outcome, it was a good sign.

This put Gu Xi at ease; he leaned against the door, about to close his eyes.

Just then, the distant sound of thundering hooves reached his ears.

With it came Du Wushuang’s cries.

”Gu Xi, I knew you were alive, help me, this horse won’t stop.”

As Gu Xi was about to stand up, he heard a thud behind him. Turning around, he saw Du Wushuang’s helmet had hit the ground, and she was tossed high, flying backwards.

Gu Xi wasn’t adept at catching someone in mid-air, so he ran towards where Du Wushuang would land, hoping to see if she was alright upon impact.

However, Du Wushuang’s Life Force was far stronger than Gu Xi’s. After hitting the ground, she flipped and immediately got up.

Seeing Gu Xi running towards her, she lunged forward, crashing into his arms.

Gu Xi held Du Wushuang close, a sour and metallic smell wafting through the air.

”Are you hurt?”

”No, it’s someone else’s blood. My helmet couldn’t fit, and it seeped in through the collar.

I was planning to find a place to shower before returning. But seeing your owl, I knew you’d miss me. Why don’t we just shower together?”

”Huh?”

Gu Xi did not expect Du Wushuang to propose such a suggestion.

”Huh what, let’s go together. I know a bathhouse with private rooms, perfect for two people. Besides, I need to deal with my hair; too much blood has clumped it up, and it’s a mess. Looks like I’ll need to shave it off later.

If I don’t shave it, it’ll get tangled in my armor seams, and pulling it out will hurt.”

”Hey, hey, is this something I get to hear for free?”

”What do you mean? I’m talking about hair, you know, hair?”
