Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 156: Chapter 154: Blueprints? I’ll Take Them!

Before Gu Xi could react, the Mage Leader dragged him aside, ”You came at the perfect time. I heard the City Lord mention you before, and I was thinking about how to invite you over.

Come, come, let me explain the situation here to you.

You probably haven’t been at the Scattered Immortal Garden for long; you might not know that our Scattered Immortal Garden is one of the three pillar cities in this world.

You might not understand what this pillar city is all about, but let me tell you directly, without the Scattered Immortal Garden and the other two cities, this world doesn’t belong to our Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

We can say that the Scattered Immortal Garden and the other two cities are the foundation for us to stand firm in this world.”

Gu Xi was nodding continuously, but he was somewhat puzzled about the purpose of talking about this at this time.

At this moment, the Mage Leader changed his tone, ”Below these three cities, we’re suppressing the fissures of this world. Only by occupying the three pillar positions can we stabilize this world and control the players’ access to it.

This is actually the first thing you learn after graduation when entering any major guild.

You seem like a newbie without anyone leading you, so you wouldn’t know these things.

That’s why I’m telling you, to inform you about the characteristics of our Scattered Immortal Garden.

Moreover, we already have enough troops now, so we can start counterattacking the invading Other Ghost.

The Sun Knight Order going out is to find the main forces of the Other Ghost for a decisive battle.

As Undead Mages, we set up the Undead Calamity to defend the world fissure we need to guard.

Your two skills are very useful to us. I hope that you will follow orders in this action and fight at the forefront.”

After speaking, the Mage Leader looked worried that Gu Xi might refuse, and he said seriously.

”Don’t worry, all Undead Mages participating in this battle will receive rewards from the Scattered Immortal Garden, and the guild will also provide equal level rewards.

If you want anything, just tell me, and if we have it, I’ll find a way to get it for you.”

With this explanation from the Mage Leader, Gu Xi roughly understood the situation in front of him.

He thought for a moment and realized this was an opportunity.

So Gu Xi decisively said, ”I want Architectural Design Plans, preferably small to medium-sized design plans, and as many as possible.”

If you want large design plans, I might have a bit of trouble, but small to medium-sized design plans, no problem, I’ll help you solve it.”

The Mage Leader thought, is that all?

No problem, he patted his chest and responded decisively.

In the Mage Leader’s mind, he was relieved that Gu Xi’s request was so low. Other Undead Mages going to battle would surely ask for troops, technology, magic, and even equipment.

The Scattered Immortal Garden has these, but their numbers are already scarce. He needs to think about how to use the least resources to get all the Undead Mage players to act.

What Gu Xi wants is the least wanted in the Scattered Immortal Garden.

The Scattered Immortal Garden has existed for so many years, and even though the output rate is not high, it has accumulated a large number of design plans.

These design plans are only used when ready to build a new city; they’re usually left in the warehouse, gathering dust.

Now that Gu Xi asked for design plans, and they’re not even the easier-to-sell large design plans, the Mage Leader agreed immediately.

”I’ll give you five, no, ten small to medium-sized design plans as a deposit. As long as you follow orders and cooperate in battle, after the event, I’ll give you twenty more small to medium-sized design plans.”

So, for this battle, I can get thirty design plans?

Gu Xi silently glanced at the lack of small to medium-sized plots in Yalidu City and decisively replied, ”Okay, it’s settled.”

”Great, welcome aboard, let me have someone guide you, Liu Zishi, come over here.”

The Mage Leader called out, and a nearby Undead Mage came over. His level was obviously that of a Level 5 player, and when he saw Gu Xi, he nodded.

This friendly reaction caught Gu Xi off guard; do I know him?

Gu Xi thought for a moment and found that he hadn’t met this person before.

He was somewhat confused about why he showed me such friendliness.

At this time, the Mage Leader whispered a few instructions to Liu Zishi and then took out a token as proof.

Receiving the token, Liu Zishi came to Gu Xi’s side.

”Comrade Gu, the Architectural Design Plans you want are generally stored in Warehouse No. 9.

Usually, only players walking the path of construction use these things.

Warehouse No. 9 is a bit of a distance from here, and we’re in a hurry, so let’s head over; do you have a suitable mount?”

”I do, let’s go.”

Gu Xi waved his hand and summoned the Evil Coffin.

Liu Zishi glanced at it, ”An Evil Coffin, green quality, not yet thoroughly modified, this is a new Evil Coffin.”

Gu Xi was about to ask if there was any problem with the new Evil Coffin.

But Liu Zishi also released an Evil Coffin.

Except his Evil Coffin was clearly much larger than Gu Xi’s, with a scaffolding set on top of the coffin lid, an incense altar, lit white candles, just lacking a band to send off the dead with music.

Compared to Liu Zishi’s Evil Coffin, Gu Xi’s was like the difference between a dinghy and a ship.

At least when Liu Zishi sat on the coffin lid and lit incense, the wind wouldn’t blow it onto his face.

”Comrade Gu, keep up.”

With that, Liu Zishi’s Evil Coffin spewed out a large amount of black smoke, from which strange music echoed.

With this music, the Evil Coffin zoomed away as if on a luge track.

If Gu Xi hadn’t been watching Liu Zishi’s every move intently, he might have lost track of him.

Riding the Evil Coffin behind Liu Zishi, they sped along the road in the Scattered Immortal Garden; Liu Zishi was very familiar with it, often taking shortcuts with his Evil Coffin.

This way, their state slowly turned into a racing mode, where Gu Xi went from sitting atop the coffin lid to crouching on it.

At this moment, Gu Xi was considering whether he should add something to his Evil Coffin like Liu Zishi did; at least a canopy would be necessary.

While still pondering this, Liu Zishi’s Evil Coffin stopped in front of a modest house.

”This is the place.”

Seeing Gu Xi jump off the coffin, Liu Zishi also stepped forward and said, ”We’re only taking ten design plans this time, small to medium-sized ones; as for what design plans are available, you must take what is given, there’s no choice.”

”No choice?”

”No, someone previously picked them, took all the good ones, leaving more and more unwanted design plans, so they decided on this rule. Gamble on luck, there’s plenty of small to medium-sized design plans; if you get a bad one, you can try your luck again.”
