Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 188: Chapter 186: Battle to the Limit

Kill!

As the Undead Corps with the long spears engaged half of the Otherworldly Knights, the other half of the Otherworldly Knights also charged forward.

However, Gu Xi did not arrange any troops on this side, with only Skeleton Shooters and Skeleton Mages following behind him.

Wraith Whiskers!

Wraith Whiskers!

...

Just as the Otherworldly Knights were preparing to charge, Gu Xi launched ten Wraith Whiskers consecutively.

Five barricades composed of tentacles and arms appeared in front of these Otherworldly Knights.

These barricades prevented the Otherworldly Knights from gaining any speed.

As long as the Otherworldly Knights cannot maintain their speed, the five hundred Skeleton Mages behind Gu Xi have a role to play.

Without needing Gu Xi’s orders, they knew what to do, and waves of Fireballs, Ice Arrows, Lightning Arrows, and Poison Gas Bombs rained down on the Otherworldly Knights.

Although the Otherworldly Knights had high defense power, their magic resistance wasn’t strong.

They took heavy damage from each wave of magical attacks.

The leading Otherworldly Knights were blasted into the sky, unable to withstand even the first wave.

The trailing Otherworldly Knights also suffered varying degrees of damage.

Under such circumstances, the Otherworldly Knights became enraged, and the leading Otherworldly Knight Boss pointed his Long Spear.

”Forceful Charge!”

After this shout, a layer of glow resembling Golden Armor appeared on the Otherworldly Knights, rendering Gu Xi’s defensive setup ineffective against them.

Their charging speed instantly surged forward, and they were about to crash into Gu Xi.

At that moment, the Death Incarnation, which had been lurking at the city gate tower, transformed into black fog and rammed into the Otherworldly Knights from the side.

Without the Crystal Storm, the power of the Death Incarnation’s black fog wasn’t immense.

However, its body became the best means of attack, knocking down many Otherworldly Knights on impact.

Thus, the charging momentum of the Otherworldly Knights was interrupted once more.

The Death Incarnation did not stop but instead turned and bit down hard on the Otherworldly Knight Boss.

The Otherworldly Knight Boss was still protected by golden light, and the bite was ineffective, but the Death Incarnation managed to drag him into the air.

Without their Boss’s empowerment, the remaining Otherworldly Knights reverted to their original state.

The timing of their collapse coincided with the Strike from the Death Incarnation, allowing the Skeleton Mages to quickly unleash their attacks upon the Otherworldly Knights.

Though the composition of the Skeleton Mages wasn’t high-level, their attack methods were pure magic.

Each spell had great power, and spells could seamlessly coordinate and combine.

Under this wave of attacks, another batch of Otherworldly Knights was beaten to death by the Skeleton Mages’ magic.

Just as Gu Xi was beginning to gain control, unexpected events happened across the great pit.

A Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost Swordsman, wielding red and blue Longswords, swiftly slashed at the Ghosts around him.

One of his faces was mechanical, painted as a clown, and the other was rotten yet adorned with makeup.

His body was wrapped in white baboon skin, as if he had adopted it as his Armor.

He held a Longsword in each hand, emitting the powers of Flame and Ice.

Both powers dealt significant damage to the Ghosts.

Several Ghosts were caught off guard and quickly perished at the hands of this Otherworldly Ghost Swordsman.

But the Ghosts were not fools, and they immediately dispersed, rushing towards other Other Ghosts.

After all, this wasn’t their only enemy; if they couldn’t handle him, they could still deal with other Other Ghosts.

The Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost was equally enraged, but as the Ghosts anticipated, he could kill a batch because they surrounded him; when they scattered, no longer playing with him, he could only handle one Ghost at a time.

The Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost couldn’t catch and kill every Ghost.

He only managed to chase after one Ghost, killing them as they attacked other Other Ghosts.

Eventually, he found himself from the Other Ghost’s main unit to the stragglers.

At this time, the remaining Undead Corps under Gu Xi’s command had bypassed the great pit and rushed into the Other Ghost stragglers.

This time, they followed behind the two Heads of the Bone-Slaying Camp.

Each of them fought fiercely, unlike the gun-bearing Undead following Combat Squad 1 behind them, their goals were simpler, seeing an enemy, they struck.

Ultimately, between the enemy and themselves, one must fall.

The cooperation among the Other Ghost stragglers was not seamless, facing a frontal charge centered around the Bone-Slaying Camp, the battlefield of the Other Ghosts turned chaotic.

If it weren’t for Gu Xi’s ordinary Skeletons around level 2, this impact could have decimated most enemies.

Even so, the Undead and Other Ghosts fought evenly matched.

But then, the Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost charged into the fray.

The two Heads of the Bone-Slaying Camp saw such an existence and immediately raised their Two-Handed Longsword and Broadsword to confront him.

They swung heavily at the two heads of the Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost.

The Otherworldly Ghost Boss was already frustrated about not having killed enough Ghosts, so upon encountering challengers, with a swings of his Longsword, he engaged in battle.

This moment revealed the true strength of the Two-headed Otherworldly Ghost.

Standing alone against the two Skeleton Bosses, he managed to handle them effortlessly; one of his swords struck with broad, sweeping arcs, while the other was precise like rain—two distinct styles that complemented each other perfectly.

Most importantly, his level significantly exceeded that of the two Skeleton Bosses, and in their battle, he became increasingly adept and excited.

Without the guidance of the Skeleton Bosses, the balance of the battle between the Undead and Other Ghosts once again shifted.

The Other Ghost stragglers slowly began to gain the upper hand.

Just then, Gu Xi noticed this development and glanced towards Combat Squad 1, quickly issuing an order.

”Combat Squad 1, ignore those knights, break through.”

The reason Gu Xi issued such an order was that only about twenty Otherworldly Knights remained there, with those numbers, Gu Xi could manage the situation.

In contrast, there was a need for reinforcements among the Other Ghost stragglers.

Gu Xi had no choice but to temporarily redirect Combat Squad 1 there.

After issuing the order, Gu Xi raised the Cold Wind Staff, just as he prepared to use a Soul Summoning Skill, a buzzing sound came from the direction of the city gate.

Gu Xi turned back in surprise and saw fifteen Stone Golems bringing a swarm of insects, resembling a dark cloud.

What was this?
