Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 155: Chapter 153: Counterattack Against the Other Ghosts (35/146)

”What’s going on?”

Gu Xi looked at the situation in front of him and couldn’t help but ask Du Wushuang.

”I don’t know either, but those three are the strongest on the ground of Scattered Immortal Garden. Normally, they don’t appear at the same time, so there must be something big happening now.”

While Du Wushuang was speaking, Gu Xi noticed that more and more players were heading this way.

This is just a small Scattered Immortal Garden, yet there are more than three thousand, close to four thousand players.

Players gathered in groups of three or four, discussing what has happened there.

At this time, Wood stepped out, pressed his hand down, and made arrangements for the scene.

”Today, I called everyone here because there’s some good news to announce: the counterattack is about to begin.”

When Wood said these words, there was a momentary silence on the scene, followed by cheers from all the players.

They understood Wood’s words; the Chaoyang Radiance Guild had stabilized the situation in the world. The battle against the Other Ghost’s invasion can now begin the counterattack.

The invading Other Ghosts are no longer a threat.

Now, killing Other Ghosts not only provides experience and other benefits, but also rewards from the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

This is a great opportunity to snatch battle achievements and make a fortune.

All players raised their weapons and shouted loudly: ”Kill!”

”Counterattack!”

”Charge, charge!”

Wood watched the players’ actions and waited for them to vent before raising his hand again to quiet them down.

”Our Scattered Immortal Garden, as one of the three pillar cities in this world, naturally needs to cooperate in the battle.

And we’re not randomly launching attacks; we will act in an orderly manner.

Next, the Knight Commander and Mage Leader will talk to you about the upcoming plans.”

After Wood finished speaking, he stepped back, and the Knight Commander in full golden armor stepped forward.

”All Death Knights gather over here. You will initiate a charge alongside the official Death Knights of the Sun Knight Order. Our objective is singular: the Otherworldly Hero appearing near Scattered Immortal Garden.

Once we kill him, the Other Ghosts’ power invading this world will be weakened by more than half.

This is our opportunity and our test. Death Knights, raise your weapons in your hands and tell me, what is the slogan of the Sun Knight Order.”

”The sun shines on my path!”

All the Death Knights raised their weapons, even Du Wushuang standing next to Gu Xi followed suit.

”Good, now all Death Knights come over here to receive Holy Oil and pray. We are preparing to depart.”

The Death Knights, upon hearing this, quickly walked out of the crowd towards the direction pointed by the Knight Commander.

At this point, the Mage Leader also stepped forward.

”Undead Mages, don’t worry, we have tasks too. This time, while the Death Knights have left, Undead Mages not only have to defend Scattered Immortal Garden, but also have an extremely important task.

All Undead Mages, report according to your magic system. We are going to use Scattered Immortal Garden as a base to initiate an Undead Calamity Ceremony.

This ceremony is considerably important; it will be initiated simultaneously in the three pillar cities of this world.

Whether or not we can sever the invasion channel of the Other Ghosts, it depends on our performance.

I won’t say anything else here except: complete the Undead Calamity, and whatever you want, I will apply it for you.

If anyone dares to make any mistakes here, then I’m sorry, I will turn you all into Undead.”

After the Mage Leader’s words, there was a burst of silence on the scene.

Gu Xi looked around at the Undead Mages, finding them all silent.

”Alright, according to your magic system and route, group up and report at the front. Be sure to clearly state your best abilities. If you haven’t reached a certain level yet squeeze into some position, resulting in errors during the Undead Calamity Ceremony, I absolutely won’t let you off.”

Seeing the loudly calling Undead Mages above, Gu Xi finally understood why a good Undead Mage would be called a Mage Leader.

This guy looks more like a knight than the Knight Commander of the Death Knights. Without the layer of Undead Mage’s robe, people would believe if someone said he was a hooligan.

However, he is indeed the leader of all Undead Mages in Scattered Immortal Garden.

His words had just concluded when many Undead Mages raised their arms, eager to register.

Gu Xi noticed Liu Kai was among them. He raised his hand and loudly said: ”Me, me, I’m a Poison Magic system Undead Mage, having completed the prerequisites for activating Talents, ready to enter the instance and activate Talents.

There’s no stronger one than me below Level 5; eight Undead Mage Skills, all focus on the Poison route.”

Other players were doing the same, raising their arms or magic staffs, shouting about their strength and skills loudly, as if saying so a second too late would result in someone else seizing the spot.

Looking at the chaotic situation ahead, Gu Xi heavily thumped the Cold Wind Staff on the ground, and the tall city gate of Death City appeared behind him.

”Clear the way for me, Level 4 Undead Mage, mastering Three Divine Skills: Death City and Death Incarnation, with Death City at Level 3 and Death Incarnation directly at Level 4.

I want to go first, if anyone’s dissatisfied, hold it in.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, all the Undead Mages turned to look at Gu Xi.

However, they contemplated the level of Death Incarnation, thought about the traits of Death City, and finally shut their mouths.

It remains unclear where the guild found such a tough person.

Usually, seeing one of the Three Divine Skills is rare enough; yet this guy seems to be cheating, mastering two out of the Three Divine Skills.

Though he hasn’t unleashed Death Incarnation here, the incident at the tavern after the previous battle, where Gu Xi unleashed Death Incarnation, is still remembered by many.

The faces of the Undead Mages were filled with envy and jealousy, wanting to stop him but having no choice but to clear a path.

Eventually, Liu Kai reacted swiftly, waving at Gu Xi, ”Comrade, over here, come up quickly.”

Wood and the Mage Leader on the General’s Platform both turned their gaze toward Gu Xi.

Wood had no particular impression of Gu Xi, remembering only that he seemed to have seen him once, but forgot when that happened.

Meanwhile, the Mage Leader’s eyes were flashing with light.

Seeing the city gate behind Gu Xi, the Mage Leader felt reassured about this task.

As Gu Xi ascended the General’s Platform, the Mage Leader proactively approached him.

He held Gu Xi’s hand firmly, ”Comrade, we’ll be counting on you for this.”
