Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 176: Chapter 174: Frontal Charge

As the Death Incarnation’s flight altitude exceeded seven hundred meters, the Otherworldly Ghost Boss, who had locked herself in the icebox, began to get anxious.

The icebox can defend against most attacks, but it doesn’t mean this icebox is invincible.

Jumping down from a height and opening the icebox can’t be prevented by defense.

At this height, it’s beyond her defensive limit. As long as she’s thrown from this position, she’ll surely die.

The Otherworldly Ghost Boss didn’t intend to just give up like this; she still wanted to struggle a bit more.

But the Death Incarnation showed no hesitation, continuing to fly upward until reaching a height of fifteen hundred meters, then dispersed the black mist, allowing the icebox to fall directly downward.

The falling location of the icebox was precisely where the next wave of the Otherworldly Corps was charging through.

This was the main force of the Otherworldly Corps.

Among these ghosts, there were as many as six thousand Other Ghosts.

They were led by an Otherworldly Ghost Boss who was as massive as a small hill. This boss had a huge body, with a small wooden house serving as a sling bag at his waist, and white baboon skin was wrapped around his fingers, used as rings.

When he ran, the ground trembled, though it was evident he was a Professional of the Holy Knight type.

As he ran forward, the ground would reveal a special aura, greatly boosting the physical strength of all Other Ghosts within its range.

Behind this hill-like Otherworldly Ghost Boss was another boss wrapped in many differently colored balloons, floating like a mummy supported by the balloons.

He held white baboon skin in his hand, seemingly wrapping a weapon within it.

Behind them was the chaotic Other Ghost Corps, with some running faster and others slower, and their sizes varied, presenting a scene of chaos that hardly resembled an army.

At this moment, Gu Xi’s Undead Corps in front of them was also ready for battle, with the formation disrupted by previous battles now reorganized.

As the Otherworldly Corps charged forward, the Undeads had eyes only for the Other Ghosts, focusing on the charging ghosts regardless of their strength, size, or ferocity, all adopting the same actions.

Step forward, strike with a cut or thrust, then step forward again.

Whether they hit the enemy was never a concern, as the Other Ghosts were crammed together; even those with exceptional dodging skills couldn’t move away easily.

In such a battlefield, saturation attacks were most suitable.

Each attack by the Undeads would take down some Other Ghosts.

However, the Other Ghosts were unorganized; facing the Undead’s impact, they were rather chaotic, some wanted to dodge, some wanted to attack, and others were ready to charge straight through.

Their behaviors, in turn, made their formations more chaotic, preventing their comrades from striking directly.

This granted the Undeads some opportunities.

Gu Xi’s Undeads mechanically attacked, advancing, then striking again.

Repeated attacks left the Otherworldly Corps in disarray.

Even their basic combat capabilities were not fully realized.

At this time, the giant hill-like Otherworldly Ghost Boss noticed the situation; he raised the stick in his hand, preparing for a horizontal sweep.

If he managed to land the sweep solidly,

the Undead Corps, which had just gained an advantage, would be scattered by his swing, and the battle would turn into the chaotic battle scene favored by the Other Ghosts.

By then, the Other Ghosts could leverage their individual strength and bizarre abilities to kill all the Undeads they encountered.

Even if Gu Xi’s Death Incarnation flew back down, there would be nothing it could do.

After all, Gu Xi’s Undeads were engulfed in a chaotic battle, and the Death Incarnation couldn’t possibly wipe out all the Undeads and Other Ghosts together.

But just at this moment, the Otherworldly Ghost Boss still inside the icebox descended from the sky.

She fell like a meteor, heavily crashing into the Other Ghost’s formation.

The hill-like giant Otherworldly Ghost Boss saw the incoming blue meteor first; without a second thought, he changed the intended horizontal sweep into an upward strike.

Bam!

The icebox on the giant Otherworldly Ghost Boss’s stick shattered into dust, scattering abundant ice crystals, containing dark red blood and white flesh scraps.

After this strike, the giant Otherworldly Ghost Boss wasn’t well off either; the impact carried the force of falling from a great height.

Although he shattered the icebox, his arm was affected too. His hands trembled incessantly, and he could barely hold his large stick.

The Death Incarnation, which had just dropped the icebox from above, decisively rushed down upon seeing this situation.

In the eyes of every Dragon Type, giants were the first targets to eliminate.

As the Death Incarnation plunged downward, Gu Xi, stationed at the gate tower, also leaped onto the Evil Coffin.

Due to the level-up of the Evil Coffin, Gu Xi was still trying to adapt to its movement speed.

Unlike before, Gu Xi didn’t stand at the front of the Evil Coffin but instead adopted a half-lying posture, clutching the iron chains on the coffin to prevent being tossed off.

At the same time, he wielded the Cold Wind Staff, charging towards the enemy battle array.

Previously, while waiting for the enemy’s arrival, Gu Xi spent time reading the Bone Storm skill book.

Coupled with the prior battles, Gu Xi’s Bone Storm level had already risen to level 4.

[Bone Storm Level 4 (53/1000), consumes 10 mana to create a storm of bone fragments at a designated spot, dealing damage equal to 270% of your Attack Power to surrounding enemies within 30 seconds. The Bone Storm’s area of effect can move.]

The level-up of Bone Storm actually brought about many changes; at level 1, it was just casting a Bone Storm.

At level 2, the damage power was enhanced, and at level 3, the duration was extended, changing from fixed to movable.

Now at level 4, the mana consumption of Bone Storm had significantly reduced.

It could be said that Gu Xi could now unleash more Bone Storms.

Now, as Gu Xi entered the battle, his target was directly the core position of the Other Ghost Corps.

With a point towards the Other Ghosts, the Bone Storm cut towards them like a harvester.

The weaker Other Ghosts were shredded into pieces on the spot, while the stronger ones could not withstand the recurring Bone Storms, and when they tried to escape, the Bone Storm’s ice effects froze them.

As wave after wave of Bone Storms surged, a path into the interior of the Other Ghost Corps was carved out.
