Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 195: Chapter 193: Rewarded Troops and Wrapping Up the Mission (55/150)

’A reward for discovering the base has been exchanged for this major news!’

’A reward for not allowing enemies to breach the outer nodes!’

Looking at these two lines of text, and then at the troops rewarded, Gu Xi understood that this was actually the Mage Leader’s consideration.

As the leader of the Undead Calamity Array, how could the Mage Leader not know how intense the battles on the perimeter of the array were?

It could be said that the surviving Undead Mages, every single one of them has already poured all their forces into the battle.

Any talk about the troops left in the Undead Calamity Array is a joke, merely giving the players something to think about.

The real reward is these two armies behind.

Of course, because Gu Xi’s achievements were so magnificent, while other players might have taken down three or five enemy bosses at most, with the largest number being eight, and the least possibly just one enemy boss.

But Gu Xi directly took down 19 Boss Level Other Ghosts.

Most importantly, most of these Other Ghosts hadn’t even gotten close to the Undead Calamity Array.

With such achievements, the rewards Gu Xi received were naturally more generous.

This can be seen from the Undead Corps sent over.

A Zombie Corps of a thousand, all zombies reaching Level 4, not the Zombie Gunmen Gu Xi idealized nor the ordinary blue-skinned zombies with kitchen knives, but a type of Zombie Axe and Shield Soldier.

[Zombie Axe and Shield Soldier (Level 4, Summoned Corps): Experience (0/750) Attack 4+4 (War Axe), Defense 6+4 (Heavy Shield), Life 65, Skills Undead Creatures, Shield Wall, Damage Mitigation (Immunize 1 point of enemy attack).]

The other is a Skeleton Soldier Corps of two thousand, also reaching Level 4. The Skeleton Soldiers given this time left Gu Xi quite satisfied. All two thousand are Skeleton Gunners, though they cannot compare with Gu Xi’s annihilated Combat Squad 1, they are sufficient to deal with some battles.

[Skeleton Soldier (Level 4, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/750) Attack 3+3 (Refined Iron Spear), Defense 2, Life 20, Skills Undead Creatures, Thrust, Synchronized Attack.]

Of course, this is just the surface situation. If it were just these three thousand undead, it wouldn’t be much for Gu Xi.

After all, when guarding the Undead Calamity Array nodes, Gu Xi casually had three thousand undead troops at his disposal.

Adding Gu Xi’s own troops and the units converted from the killed Other Ghosts, Gu Xi’s forces even reached five or six thousand at their peak.

Three thousand is far from the entirety of this reward.

The real reward is that among these three thousand, there are also six Undead Boss, two Zombie Axe and Shield, and four Skeleton Gunners.

They can be considered the Mage Leader’s final goodwill. Though not many, they are definitely enough to lead these three thousand into battle.

Looking at these two undead corps, Gu Xi sighed, without considering how many troops he would have if he brought all the undead back to the Undead Calamity Array, which would be a pointless thing.

At this time, he put away the folder in his hand and turned to look at the Mage Leader beside him.

By now, the Mage Leader had already pacified the players participating in the front-line battle.

As for the players behind the Undead Calamity Array, they had already withdrawn to here before the great avalanche, long having received their rewards.

Now, taking advantage of everyone’s attention on him, the Mage Leader clapped his hands heavily.

”Comrades, everyone worked hard in this battle.

But your efforts did not go in vain.

We have severed the invasion path of the Other Ghosts.

And defeated the Other Ghost Leader attempting to invade our CC80 World.

This is a great victory, and all of this will be recorded in each of your profiles.

No matter where you go in the future, you can proudly say, we saved a world.”

”Save the world!”

”We are the saviors!”

”Heavenly fortune, merits!”

”I’m the protagonist!”

Hearing the Mage Leader’s words, the players started shouting one after another.

Usually, they knew their potential was limited, and their talents not high, quietly playing the background role in the guild.

This time, having such an opportunity, naturally, they wanted to vent their emotions.

Watching the players who were yelling and shouting, the Mage Leader did not stop them, instead he smiled at them.

After the players had shouted and made enough noise, the Mage Leader spoke again.

”This time, the issue with the Other Ghosts invading the world can be considered a close Chapter.

Comrades who came to support, can now come to me for the task list and exit the CC80 game world.

Players originally stationed in the CC80 game world can get a month of vacation, you can take turns to take time off, relax, or head to other worlds.

Also, stationed players in this world will have their monthly supply doubled for a year.

If there are any applications for promotion or job change, they will be prioritized within a year.”

Upon hearing these words, all players were stunned momentarily, then they all shouted happily.

”Great!”

”It’s vacation time!”

”We’re rich, making a fortune!”

”I’m going to spend a month in a brothel!”

”...”

After everyone had laughed and created enough noise, the Mage Leader spoke again.

”This time, our Scattered Immortal Garden’s Undead Calamity Array played a major role, I’ve heard that Extreme Frozen Sea was almost attacked to the core position of the Undead Calamity Array, and Death God Snow Peak had to launch the big move of the Undead Calamity Array earlier, not reaching the final goal.

You could say that this time our Scattered Immortal Garden had a big show.

Not to mention anything else, even I, when I go out, I can speak louder with the Mage Leaders from Extreme Frozen Sea and Death God Snow Peak.

This is the face you all gave me.

I can’t let you work in vain, without saying anything else, this is a reward from my own money for you all, everyone gets one, don’t be polite.”

After speaking, the Mage Leader opened a box beside him, filled with fist-sized earthy yellow eggs.

Gu Xi curiously glanced at the Mage Leader, only to see him happily distributing these eggs to every player.

Most of the players receiving them accepted them happily.

This surprised Gu Xi a bit, he tugged at a nearby player’s sleeve and asked.

”Comrade, what is this?”

”Oh, this is a skin, you must be a newbie, never used a skin?

This is quite normal, stay long enough in the Scattered Immortal Garden and you’ll have a few skins in your hand, then you can change the outfit of your skeleton, instead of looking at the same dull yellow skeleton every day, how boring would that be.

Change to a nicer look, and you’ll feel better.”

While this player was speaking, the box was also pushed in front of Gu Xi.

Gu Xi reached out and picked up one of the eggs, gently squeezing it.
