Having taken the Clock Tower and obtained the second Sacred Artifact, Gu Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He waved to Luna outside, then went up the Clock Tower’s stairs to the second floor, from where he could see the outside conditions and also disable the effects of the Sacred Artifact.

Gu Xi cleared the effects that had fallen on the Evil Coffin and took a look at the inside of the Clock Tower.

This Clock Tower had three floors. The first floor was the entrance to the Clock Tower, the second floor was a small room for controlling the Clock Tower’s defenses, and the third floor was the actual Bell Tower, which could actually operate.

In Victoria City, the Sacred Artifact Gear was installed in the great clock of this Bell Tower, while the Sacred Artifact in front of him was placed on the huge pointer outside the Bell Tower.

If Gu Xi wanted to take down the Sacred Artifact - Time Pointer, it was definitely right to go up to the third floor.

But Gu Xi wasn’t foolish. The Sacred Artifacts were already arranged, so why would he take apart the Clock Tower now?

After understanding the operation of the Clock Tower, Gu Xi had nothing else to check. He quickly went downstairs and pushed open the door.

”Luna, this building has been taken.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Luna approached him.

Gu Xi explained the effects of the Sacred Artifact - Time Pointer.

Luna immediately nodded to show she understood, ”Don’t worry, sir, I will utilize the effect we can use once a week wisely, and won’t waste such a good effect.”

When Luna said this, she was truly happy. As the City Elf of this place, she was well aware of the times when success was just within grasp.

Now, with such a Sacred Artifact, it was like having a hand that could adjust the production at will; when things were just a bit off, a slight push would change the situation completely.

After Luna took over the Clock Tower, Gu Xi took everyone for a tour around the Upper City District. After confirming there were no omissions, Gu Xi said to Luna.

”I’ll leave this side to you for now, get the Core Building up first, and if there are no design plans for other buildings, leave them empty. Prioritize the planning, and we’ll talk again once I have the design plans.”

Luna assuredly said, ”Sir, don’t worry.”

Gu Xi said no more, lifted his hand, and exited Yalidov City.

As the owner of Death City, Gu Xi could freely enter and exit Yalidov City.

However, the entry and exit points were limited.

Outside the city, where Gu Xi entered Yalidov City, he would also exit from the same place.

And from outside into the city, he would appear at the Assembly Hall each time, but there were no restrictions on leaving Yalidov City.

This could be considered a different kind of instant teleportation, allowing him to return to the Assembly Hall from anywhere in Yalidov City.

When he raised his hand, Gu Xi’s vision blurred, and then a metallic armor appeared before him.

The armor was about as tall as he was, with a piece of black, semi-transparent cloth hanging from the helmet.

Turning to look back, Du Wushuang was hugging a blanket and sleeping soundly.

Gu Xi shook his head helplessly, feeling all the players in the Scattered Immortal Garden seemed like slackers.

Did they have no greater ambitions?

He had returned to Yalidov City and taken two districts, yet Du Wushuang was still asleep.

Gu Xi glanced at his clothes, picked up the Cold Wind Staff, and pushed open the door.

Now, with some time to spare, Gu Xi decided to wander around the Scattered Immortal Garden.

But just as Gu Xi was about to push the door, suddenly a booming sound came from the sky.

The sound was like thunder, but also like a drum.

Just as Gu Xi was wondering what was happening, another rapid drumbeat arose.

This reminded Gu Xi of the situation he encountered when he first arrived at the Scattered Immortal Garden.

Could it be that Other Ghosts are attacking the Scattered Immortal Garden again?

”Get up quickly, there’s a battle coming.”

Although Gu Xi couldn’t understand the meaning of the drumbeats, he instinctively looked at Du Wushuang.

Unexpectedly, Du Wushuang reacted faster than him, having just hugged a blanket with her small legs sticking out, she already jumped up from the bed.

She didn’t bother with clothes, nor did she know where she found a piece of pink cloth to tie her hair, then jumped in front of an armor.

”Do you want me to help you?”

Seeing Du Wushuang struggling with the heavy armor, Gu Xi couldn’t help but ask.

”No need, you don’t know how to do this, helping me would only make it worse, let me handle it.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi backed off instead of helping, while asking about the meaning of the drumbeats around the Scattered Immortal Garden.

”Can you tell what the drumbeats mean?”

”Can’t tell, nor do we need to, the more urgent the drumbeats, the more serious the matter, and this beat isn’t very urgent. We could even bring something to eat when we report to Wood.”

As Du Wushuang spoke, she already donned the armor on her body, then hugged the helmet to her chest, peering out with eyes from under where her neck showed, trying hard to see outside.

”How does it look, nice right?”

”Nice, but as I recall, aren’t you not wearing any clothes? Is this okay?”

”No worries, there’s a lining inside the armor, it won’t hurt my skin. Let’s go, or else Wood will start nagging again.”

With that, Du Wushuang quickly pushed the door open, turned her body, surveyed the surroundings, pointed in one direction, and said.

”Over at the General’s Platform, seems like there’s a big mission today, let’s hurry over, snagging a good mission comes with great rewards.”

As she spoke, Du Wushuang, carrying her helmet and dragging Gu Xi with one hand, ran towards the direction of the drumbeats.

Seeing Du Wushuang like this, Gu Xi flipped his hand, jumped onto the Evil Coffin himself, and temporarily lent the Skeleton Warhorse to Du Wushuang.

Only when Du Wushuang was on the Skeleton Warhorse did Gu Xi finally understand why her mount needed constant training.

Her legs were just a bit short; if she wore armor tailored to her size, it might be better, but Du Wushuang wasn’t willing to let people think she was short.

She insisted on wearing large armor, so her finesse of control over her mount was lacking.

Plus, the mounts of Death Knights are Undead Creatures; they lack intelligence and require precise control by Death Knights.

Given Du Wushuang’s level of fine control, Gu Xi decided to just let it be.

With this in mind, Gu Xi reached out to steer the Skeleton Warhorse’s direction.

As a result, their speed increased significantly, and with Du Wushuang leading the way, they soon arrived at the drum-beating General’s Platform.

Wood, whom Gu Xi had seen once before, stood on the platform with his arms behind his back, alongside him stood a white-bearded Undead Mage and an all-gold armored Death Knight.

”The Knight Commander and the Mage Leader are here, this must be a big deal.”
