Chapter 185: Chapter 183: The Other Ghosts’ Plan

”Stone Golem... forget it, Ghost Corps, fly over and crash into that castle.”

Upon discovering that the castle might be an illusion, Gu Xi quickly made a decision.

No matter what, he had to try and see what was going on.

Under Gu Xi’s command, all of his ghosts flew out.

Compared to the Stone Golem, the ghosts’ flying height wasn’t as high, and their speed wasn’t too fast.

As they flew over the Otherworldly Corps, Gu Xi noticed another unusual situation.

Some soldiers within the Otherworldly Corps didn’t even look up at the ghosts flying in the sky.

If this was an Undead Corps, with enemies flying overhead, their lack of reaction would be understandable.

But in this obviously chaotic Otherworldly Corps, Gu Xi even saw some of them play fighting, yet they still didn’t react as the ghosts flew past.

This abnormal situation made Gu Xi’s heart tighten.

Is it possible that this Otherworldly Corps is also an illusion?

While Gu Xi was pondering, the ghosts had already rushed to the front of the castle.

The ghosts charged straight into the castle.

What Gu Xi anticipated did not happen next.

The castle didn’t disappear because the ghosts broke the illusion, nor did it retaliate against the ghosts’ attacks.

It was as if the ghosts and the castle weren’t in the same world.

The ghosts even passed right through the castle.

Faced with these events, Gu Xi’s mind quickly turned.

He kept recalling the knowledge he had to try and determine what was happening.

And at this time, the foremost Otherworldly Corps was already approaching the Undead Calamity Array, and Gu Xi’s leading Skeleton Soldier Corps was about to make contact with them.

But just then, something strange happened again.

The situation with the Skeleton Soldiers was like that with the ghosts; they charged into the Otherworldly Corps but couldn’t interact with the enemy, like people from two different worlds.

Watching the Otherworldly Corps ignore his own Undead Corps and keep moving forward, a thought flashed in Gu Xi’s mind.

Mirror Movement?

Gu Xi suddenly thought of Luna’s specialty.

She usually moved freely through Yalidu City using this method.

She seemed to float normally, but when she wanted to move quickly, her body would slowly become ethereal, and a new body would appear in another location.

The way these Otherworldly Corps were moving did indeed resemble that method.

After all, a large castle moving silently and unnoticed would seem impossible.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi quickly focused his attention.

This time, Gu Xi’s observation target was those Otherworldly Corps.

Gu Xi discovered that although it looked like the Otherworldly Corps was advancing, their feet weren’t moving.

Previously, Gu Xi hadn’t had this thought and thus hadn’t paid attention to it.

Now, things were different.

If this movement was indeed a Mirror Movement type, then everything made sense.

So, where was the real enemy?

Just then, the Otherworldly Corps had gotten close to the city gate area.

Because they were merely apparitions for now, Gu Xi’s undead couldn’t stop them.

Meanwhile, the castle was gradually moving toward the edge of the Undead Calamity Array.

At this moment, a realization struck Gu Xi; he understood the opponent’s plan.

The opponents intended to use the castle to occupy this node of the Undead Calamity Array.

The node Gu Xi was defending was the most important among a hundred outward nodes and the most difficult to attack.

Other nodes had been breached, but most of the time, the Otherworldly Corps was beaten outside this node.

Their initial plans didn’t work against Gu Xi.

So, they had to use some tricks.

A huge castle didn’t need to completely suppress the node, it just needed to reach the edge of the Undead Calamity Array to control everything.

Why not move the castle to the center of the node?

Glancing at the city gate, Gu Xi suddenly laughed.

He knew how to break this situation.

”Skeleton, bring a group of Skeleton Soldiers.”

Gu Xi loudly ordered, ”Come help me transport this Little House Backpack to the castle, quickly.”

Having just seen the city gate, Gu Xi figured out the last piece of the puzzle.

Why didn’t the enemy’s castle sit directly over the node? Because Gu Xi’s city gate occupied that position.

A position already occupied by a building couldn’t be covered by another, so the castle had to shift outward slightly.

Just aiming to touch the edge of the Undead Calamity Array.

Although he didn’t understand the principle behind it.

Gu Xi found a breaking point from this situation nonetheless.

Isn’t your castle unable to land because the city gate is in the way?

Then I’ll place another building where you’re planning to land.

If Gu Xi’s Death City hadn’t reached Level 5 earlier, he couldn’t have done this.

But now, things were different; Gu Xi had a method to construct buildings outdoors.

Gu Xi had been considering releasing this Farmer’s House after this battle to convert it into a building that undead could use.

Now he had no time to think of anything else, directing skeletons to carry the Little House Backpack, Gu Xi personally jumped onto the Evil Coffin, charging toward the edge of the Undead Calamity Array.

By this time, the castle was almost in position.

Gu Xi could tell that those pushing the castle noticed his actions.

They had sped up the movement of their troops.

Gu Xi knew there wasn’t much time left.

So he ignored the Otherworldly Corps around him, rushing with all his might to the edge of the Undead Calamity Array.

The Skeleton Soldiers moved quickly as well, and by the time Gu Xi got into position, the Little House Backpack had been delivered.

Uncertain of the enemy’s final set point, Gu Xi moved forward a bit with the Skeleton Soldiers.

About seven hundred meters from the Undead Calamity Array, he stopped.

By now, Gu Xi could see the castle’s gate pressing towards him.

”Set up the Farmer’s House!”

At Gu Xi’s command, the Skeleton Soldiers placed the Little House Backpack on the ground.

Gu Xi then tapped the Little House Backpack with the Cold Wind Staff to activate it.

After doing all this, Gu Xi patted the Evil Coffin and decisively shouted.

”Run!”

The Skeleton Soldiers carrying the Little House Backpack turned and ran back along the path.

But their speed was no match for how quickly the Little House Backpack unfolded, and some Skeleton Soldiers were knocked aside by the enclosing walls on the spot.

Then, a farmhouse-like building appeared on the ground.

It had a stone-built small house, a sheep pen with Black-faced Sheep, a field of crimson wheat, and an accompanying waterwheel.

A few Skeleton Soldiers were even pinned down by soil and nearly couldn’t get up.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi ignored the information popping up in his ears, having only one thought: to escape back into the Undead Calamity Array.
