Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 177: Chapter 175: Self-Destruction of the Death Incarnation

As Gu Xi’s Bone Storm was about to strike the gigantic Otherworldly Ghost Boss, the boss finally reacted.

He raised his wooden staff, preparing to sweep again, determined this time to scatter the approaching Undead Corps.

Only by doing this would the Otherworldly Corps have a chance to drag the battle into their familiar territory.

But at this moment, the Death Incarnation descended from the sky, turning into a black mist that crashed into the gigantic Otherworldly Ghost Boss.

The Crystal Storm within the Death Incarnation’s black mist continuously battered the skin of the ghost boss, each hit taking away a part of his life.

The ghost boss clearly felt he was not a match for the Death Incarnation. The Incarnation was pushing him backward instead of taking him into the sky solely because of his excessive weight, which the Incarnation couldn’t lift.

The gigantic Otherworldly Ghost Boss, also aware of this, saw an opportunity to kill the Death Incarnation.

He threw aside his wooden staff, clutched the dragon head of the Death Incarnation with both hands, and pressed the Incarnation’s head tightly against his chest.

Even as the Crystal Storm raged against his body, he did not react at all.

Meanwhile, the ghost boss being carried by balloons noticed the situation.

He immediately saw an opportunity and, without needing the gigantic ghost boss to say anything, floated near the Death Incarnation, continuously pulling out new balloons from the white baboon skin bag and stuffing them into the gaps of the Death Incarnation’s bones.

At this time, Gu Xi was just controlling the Bone Storm to hit this side.

Seeing the Death Incarnation caught between the two, he grew anxious, raising his Cold Wind Staff and pointing it at the sky.

The Otherworldly Ghost Boss, who was ambushing the Death Incarnation from behind, was knocked down by a Bone Spike from Gu Xi.

This Bone Spike not only pierced the ghost boss but also popped one of the balloons tied to him.

Things changed immediately for the ghost boss.

His mummified body swelled like a balloon, and the balloons stuffed into the Death Incarnation’s bone gaps also began swelling.

Although Gu Xi wasn’t sure what was happening with this ghost boss, he could guess that these balloons were about to explode.

Gu Xi quickly calculated his mana.

Finally, he made a decisive decision.

”Bone Storm, clear the way for me!”

Then Gu Xi unleashed at least forty Bone Storms, directing them toward the densest regions of the other ghost crowd.

This exertion exhausted Gu Xi.

But he didn’t stop there. He glanced at the Death Incarnation entangled with the two ghost bosses and shouted loudly.

”Death Incarnation! Melting Light!”

The Death Incarnation immediately understood Gu Xi’s command, twisting his body swiftly. The black mist retracted into his body, revealing the already metallicized black bones.

Gu Xi could see at this time that several huge balloons were wedged into the ribs of the Death Incarnation, swelling rapidly and ready to explode at any moment.

However, there was no need to wait for the balloons to explode now. As the black mist was absorbed into the body, the Death Incarnation started to flicker with an urgent glow.

The gigantic Otherworldly Ghost Boss, who had been holding the Death Incarnation, was momentarily stunned. Realizing the situation was dire and trying to let go, but it was too late.

With a bang, the Death Incarnation exploded in the arms of the gigantic Otherworldly Ghost Boss.

The violent explosion, with its shockwave, leveled everything around it.

Located at the epicenter of the blast, the two ghost bosses were blown to pieces.

At the same time, most of the surrounding other ghosts were also blasted away.

The undead fared slightly better; although they too were blasted away, they quickly got up from the ground and reorganized.

Seizing the opportunity brought by this huge explosion, Gu Xi, who was lying on the Evil Coffin, rushed to the forefront, followed by the undead corps that had risen again.

At first, they were quite chaotic, but under the command of the Undead Boss, they quickly regrouped.

Gu Xi didn’t expect that after the explosion, he would end up forced to the very front.

He could only press his forehead to lessen the shock of the Death Incarnation’s demise, and pull a magic potion bottle from his pocket.

At this time, the other ghosts were also rising from the aftermath of the explosion.

Having gone through the two impacts caused by Gu Xi’s Bone Storm and the Death Incarnation’s self-destruction, about sixty percent of the nearly ten thousand strong otherworldly corps were destroyed.

The remaining number was only about three to four thousand, and they were fairly chaotic.

Among these other ghosts, their strength ranged from Level 3 to Level 11.

After the explosion, the stronger other ghosts were the first to rise, followed by the weaker but luckier ones.

So when Gu Xi faced the other ghosts, he found they were indeed stratified.

The two ghosts at the very front belonged to the strongest in the corps, powerful soldiers at Level 11.

Following them were about three hundred elites at Level 8 and 9.

Further back were ordinary soldiers with strength between Level 3 and 7.

This was the opposite of the situation with Gu Xi’s forces.

The weakest cannon fodder undead were placed at the front by Gu Xi, with elite troops at the back.

As the two forces were about to clash once again, many thoughts flashed quickly through Gu Xi’s mind.

”Skeleton Priest!”

Ultimately, Gu Xi used what little mana he had left to summon two Skeleton Priests.

With the appearance of these two Skeleton Priests, Gu Xi’s mana finally fell into single digits.

Gu Xi put the magic potion bottle to his lips, his eyes scanning the battlefield for targets.

Soon, Gu Xi spotted a few Otherworldly Ghost Bosses within the other ghosts’ ranks.

After the Bone Storm and the Death Incarnation’s big explosion, only three ghost bosses remained here.

One of them always hung back at the very end of the team.

It’s unclear whether this was meant to protect the bottom, or for some other reason, but there was always such a ghost boss present during every attack.

He was a monk wearing a conical hat, with white baboon skin draped over him as a robe.

With each step forward, another other ghost would rise from the ground.

Gu Xi believed that if given enough time, this monk could resurrect all the other ghosts present.

As for the other two, Gu Xi also noticed them, for the white baboon skin was too conspicuous to ignore.

At this moment, Gu Xi hesitated for only a short while before focusing his target on the monk.

After all, his existence could potentially change the current battle scenario.

As the otherworldly monk took a step forward, Gu Xi pointed in his direction, ”Death Incarnation!”
