Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 125: Chapter 123: Boss? Hero? Leader? The Strongest Being

”Move aside, all of you.”

Before the big guy was done with introductions, the one who locked eyes with Gu Xi pushed away the Undead Boss at the front.

The Skeleton Shooter Boss, whom the big guy had emphasized, was directly shoved against the nearby wall, nearly pressed into it.

At that moment, Gu Xi raised his head, looking at the boss who had walked right up to him.

Her skin was a bit dark gray, eyes bright yellow, lips dark purple, standing at 2.4 meters tall; her feet, now gray-black, wore black high-heeled shoes, topped off with a wide-brimmed black hat, making her appear about 2.9 meters tall.

She wore a white formal long dress, with three rose flowers pinned at her chest. With Gu Xi’s height, those three roses were right in front of him: blood red, dark blue-green, and gray-white, respectively.

As she approached Gu Xi, she bent down, not caring about exposing a deep cleavage, with her bright yellow eyes staring into Gu Xi’s eyes.

”It’s you. Take me along.”

The overwhelming feeling of compulsion made Gu Xi step back, but he quickly glared and stood upright once again.

Yet in his heart, Gu Xi was still puzzled.

After glaring at this Undead Boss to show he wasn’t afraid of her, Gu Xi turned to look at the big guy.

The big guy said helplessly, ”I’m sorry, I didn’t expect Di Mi to step forward. Ever since I found her, she hasn’t had the intention of interacting with others.”

At this, the big guy seemed to recall something, ”But don’t underestimate Di Mi, she has the potential to become a Leader boss. It’s just that her requirements are rather high, and she’s never thought much of other players, which is why she’s stayed here.”

Leader Potential?

Hearing this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but take another look at the tall female undead named Di Mi.

Di Mi rolled her eyes, showing a hint of disdain, ignoring Gu Xi’s scrutiny.

”That’s not reasonable. If she really had Leader Potential, people would have fought over her long ago. No matter how unreasonable the demands, someone would have been willing to pay. How could it have dragged on until now?”

The big guy replied helplessly, ”There’s no helping it; Di Mi is an anomaly. She was an Amazon with Titan bloodline in life and was converted into an undead by me after death.

Originally, she should have become a Warrior, but for some unknown reason, she took the path of a boss.

That made not many people want to accept her.

Plus, her conditions for joining are extremely strict. With such conditions, one could contract a Contracted Undead, so who would want to use so many terms to recruit an Undead Boss?

So over time, no one sought her, and it dragged on till now.”

”What conditions?”

Gu Xi asked curiously.

”Having your own city is my initial condition for joining,” Di Mi said blandly. ”A bunch of people without their own city, I don’t even look at them.”

”That demand is indeed a bit challenging, but so many Undead Mage players have come through here, there must be some with their own city in some places.”

Gu Xi looked at Di Mi in puzzlement, feeling it was better to clear up some things.

”Having a city of my own is just the start. If you want me to join, I have many demands. First, I need a Haunted Mansion of my own as a residence.

Secondly, I need my own Graveyard to plant herbs.

Thirdly, I need my own Spirit Tomb as my Laboratory.”

”A Haunted Mansion, a Graveyard, and a Spirit Tomb?” Gu Xi muttered and quickly realized, ”You’re occupying three training camps all by yourself.”

”Yeah, that’s what makes many players with cities give up the opportunity,” the big guy added from the side.

”After all, everyone’s cities aren’t that large at the beginning. Though occupied buildings can be rebuilt, getting large plots isn’t that easy, and many players don’t want to dedicate such large plots to an Undead Boss like that.”

Gu Xi thought about it and agreed, three large plots indeed.

In a smaller city, maybe not even one could be spared, let alone three.

With these three large plots, why not build something else rather than just to support a boss?

But Di Mi didn’t care about such things, smirking, ”These are just initial conditions. I hope the city I live in has at least some attributes of a Giant.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi immediately understood why Di Mi was willing to join him.

It wasn’t because he had a Death City, but because in that city of his, there was a plot with both Giant and Death attributes.

Di Mi keenly noticed all this, which was why she stepped forward.

This made Gu Xi have a slight suspicion about Di Mi’s ability. Was she really just a Leader Potential?

And currently just a boss?

Though he thought this internally, Gu Xi quickly said, ”I understand, welcome to the team.”

”Oh, why don’t you ask what conditions are required to bind me as a Contracted Undead?” Di Mi looked surprised as Gu Xi reached out his hand. She smiled at Gu Xi and casually asked.

”No need. If you truly wanted to be a Contracted Undead, you’d have already stated the conditions. The fact you haven’t means you either don’t regard being a Contracted Undead highly or I couldn’t meet the conditions.

Either way, we wouldn’t come to an agreement in the end, so why bother asking.”

Di Mi’s eyes brightened, ”You’re quite an interesting little fellow. From now on, I’m your subordinate. Do let me know if you need anything.”

Upon saying this, she extended two fingers to lightly shake Gu Xi’s outstretched hand.

At that moment, an information window popped up in front of Gu Xi.

[Demeteresku (Level 0, Summoned Creature, Undead Boss): Experience (0/500) Attack 5+3, Defense 4, Life 35+35, Skills: Combat Elite (Attack +3), Giant Bloodline (Life doubled), Leader (can command Zombies, Ghosts, Vampires, command limit 60), Pharmacist.]

Seeing the information, Gu Xi realized that Di Mi wasn’t her real name, but rather Demeteresku.

She had traits of Zombies, Ghosts, and Vampires.

Thus, she also controlled those three types of troops.

Though she could only choose one type of unit to command for now, as long as she grew and became a Hero, leading multiple regiments would be effortless.

As for her level, everyone knew that bosses, heroes, or Contracted Undead would have their level reset when transferred, a rule as solid as iron.

This was to prevent family-line Undead Mages from passing down well-trained undead to the next generation.

Therefore, Gu Xi didn’t look down on Demeteresku for her low level; instead, his eyes brightened at her mastery of four powerful skills.

Is this what sets Leader Potential boss apart?

If so, Gu Xi really wanted to ask: are there more?
