Under the guidance of the Raven, Gu Xi quickly arrived at his defense zone, which was an open area located in the southwest corner of the Scattered Immortal Garden.

Behind him was a functional building, and in front was an open space about the size of a football field.

This is the designated zone C6 for Gu Xi, and his task is simple, prevent any enemy from passing through the open area in front and attacking the building behind him.

As long as he can guard this building well, the rest will be of no concern for Gu Xi.

”Hey, rookie, what’s your name?”

Just after taking his position, before Gu Xi could deploy his soldiers, a voice came from not far away.

When Gu Xi looked up, he found a full black suit of armor standing not far away, and the voice came from within this armor.

However, the armor seemed a bit too large for the person, Gu Xi couldn’t see his face at all.

”Who are you?”

”Death Knight Du Wushuang, responsible for coordinating the fight with you.”

The full armor tried hard to turn its head, ”Rest assured, I’m a level 4 Death Knight, with enough combat power to keep you safe in the battle.”

”I’m never worried about my safety.”

Gu Xi was now sitting on the Evil Coffin, but this time he didn’t wrap himself in a blanket, instead he pointed his hand, releasing the gate of Death City.

Now there was a change to Death City’s gate, reinforced sections with thick bones appeared in front and behind the gate, along with a ten-meter-high flagpole atop the gate.

Gu Xi’s empty battle banner was hung on the flagpole.

Although it was a white flag, the thumbs-up on it still marked Gu Xi’s identity, a chief.

Just an academy graduate chief, but it was enough.

Under Du Wushuang’s astonished gaze, a large number of Undead Corps began marching outward.

After the last great battle, the combat power of Gu Xi’s forces improved significantly, especially the Bone-Slaying Camp and the two Combat Squads’ Skeleton Soldiers, newly replenished Zombies wore full armor captured from the Ghost Soldiers.

”196 in Bone-Slaying Camp, Combat Squad 1 with 46 soldiers, Combat Squad 2 with 49 soldiers, 209 Skeleton Shooters, 59 Zombies, and 52 Ghosts.”

As the troops marched out, Gu Xi was calculating in his mind.

When Gu Xi handed over the transported Undead to the City Lord, the rest were left to Gu Xi.

Luna helped Gu Xi organize everything without him needing to explain anything.

The Skeleton Soldiers were assigned to the three units, while the Skeleton Shooters, Zombies, and Ghosts gathered together.

Although they hadn’t been through baptism by battle yet, the numbers were already sufficient.

As a whole, six hundred Undead troops, with the lowest having a level 3 power, and the highest Ghosts reaching level 7. This combat power was considerable in the Scattered Immortal Garden.

Seeing Gu Xi’s Undead troops standing on the open ground ahead, Du Wushuang was stunned.

”Your troop count.”

”What’s wrong with this number?”

Gu Xi asked confusingly while directing his troops to take their positions.

”This count is too high; there must be at least five, no, over six hundred soldiers here. Your troop strength exceeds most Undead Mages stationed here.

Are you a genius student from the Guild?”

Gu Xi couldn’t quite explain the situation to Du Wushuang.

He couldn’t possibly say that due to the transport of troops, he lost nearly two hundred and ninety high-level Undead soldiers to drifting, could he?

So he just laughed it off.

Then he focused his gaze forward.

”Comrade, what should we do next?”

”Just wait here until someone makes it to us. Initially, I thought I’d have to exert significant effort this time, but with you here, it’s all good.”

Du Wushuang explained with a smile.

”Can they reach here?”

”That’s quite usual; the Scattered Immortal Garden isn’t very large, and the ground isn’t well-defended. Except for the outside Purple Crystal Forest, there are no City Wall defenses, anyone can come from any direction.

It’s normal for the enemy to break in.

But don’t worry, there are many players in the Scattered Immortal Garden.

Each player has some troops, and after the incident, all players on missions returned, and the current forces are enough to handle any trouble.”

”How many people, then? Why doesn’t the City Lord seem to care about what’s happening on the ground?”

”Let me tell you, even if the entire city on the ground is destroyed, the City Lord won’t bat an eye. He only cares about two things: First, collecting the energy spilled by the Loose Immortal below, Dragon Blood Crystal, and Dragon Steel, you Undead Mages are fortunate.

The second is suppressing the Loose Immortal’s corpses.

Everything else, he never cares.

Ground affairs are usually handled by the ten-person committee.”

”The ten-person committee?”

”Yes, it consists of the Commander-in-Chief, Knight Commander, Mage Leader, Blacksmith, Doctor, Tavern Owner, Farmer, Hunter, Scout, and Merchant who manage the city affairs.

They discuss ground matters among themselves.

Unless there’s a significant event, the City Lord generally won’t interfere with their decisions.”

”Commander-in-Chief, Knight Commander... are these nicknames or what?”

”Some are nicknames, some are positions. For instance, the Commander-in-Chief is Wood, he’s appointed by the Guild as the Commander-in-Chief of the Scattered Immortal Garden Corps. He has the authority to mobilize all forces within the Scattered Immortal Garden and can command all players to participate in battles.

The Knight Commander and Mage Leader are nicknames; they are the strongest Death Knight and Undead Mage in the Scattered Immortal Garden, and Death Knights and Undead Mages are willing to listen to their opinions.

The Blacksmith is the owner of the Blacksmith Shop. Don’t underestimate him, he’s the best craftsman in the Scattered Immortal Garden, and it’s said that as long as there’s enough material, he can even forge purple equipment.

The Doctor and Tavern Owner are similar; they possess some skills, especially the Tavern Owner, who’s the city’s source of information, anything you wish to know, you can always find him.

As for the Farmer and Hunter, they manage the city’s civilian organizations, with the Farmer overseeing the farmlands in the city’s west, and the Hunter in charge of hunting small animals in the Purple Crystal Forest.

They actually provide food for the city. Although a farmer or hunter’s individual status may not be high, collectively in the city, they hold some status.

The Scout and Merchant are the same, only their importance isn’t as much as the Farmers and Hunters.

Of course, Scouts actually replace the miners to some extent. But as you understand, miners are all underground; they aren’t managed by those on the surface, even if there’s dissatisfaction, nothing can be done.

Ultimately, these are decisions made by the elites, whatever arrangements they come up with, we can only accept them.”
