I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 549, Fanatical Fans

The next morning, rays of sunlight filtered through the clouds and refracted onto the snow-covered ground. The originally pristine white snow, illuminated by the sunlight, reflected colours that shimmered like ripples on water.

It was as if the white snow-covered ground had been plated with a layer of golden fragments. Looking out across the expanse, it was quite beautiful to behold.

Su Bai opened his black eyes early in the morning and promptly summoned the System to check in and open his Assistance Package.

“I can actually get this sort of thing? But, I don’t have much use for this at the moment…” Su Bai muttered to himself.

He thought that these protective goggles were for piloting fighter jets or riding high-speed motorcycles, so there was no real need for them.

“Hmm… actually.” When Su Bai had just thought about those things, he thought of something else and continued, “Maybe some people might find them useful.”

He smiled, put away the protective goggles, got up to prepare to change clothes, intending to give these protective goggles to people who needed them, and also arrange today’s departure.

He had arranged last night for the personnel who would go out to mine today. They absolutely had to obtain these ores as soon as they could.

*Step, step, step…*

*Creak!*

After Su Bai changed his clothes and opened the door to walk to the living room, he discovered that breakfast had already been prepared and was on the table.

“Shaman, perfect timing. I’ve finished preparing everything.” Yu Ying said as she removed the apron body.

This apron was something Su Bai had taught her to sew. It was essentially several Animal Hides sewn together.

Although it was not as fancy as the aprons back on Earth, when cooking food, it could at least prevent the clothing on her body from getting dirty.

“Good. Has everyone assembled?” Su Bai asked as he sat down.

After he had finished with those lists yesterday, he had given the list to Yu Ying, asking her to notify these people to gather at the Yong’an Building first thing in the morning.

“I’ve already notified them. The Chieftain brought people over early this morning to assemble on the first floor. They’ve only just arrived.” Yu Ying immediately said.

“In that case, let’s quickly eat and then head downstairs.” Su Bai said, picking up a bowl of wheat porridge and beginning to drink it in large gulps.

Due to the cold weather outside, and the fact that the wheat porridge had been prepared and left to sit for a while, it was no longer scalding hot but rather lukewarm.

*Step, step, step…* After Su Bai quickly finished his wheat porridge, he went downstairs. As soon as he descended the stairs, he saw many people standing in rows.

“Shaman, good morning,” Yan Jiao and the others were the first to greet him.

This greeting was something Su Bai had taught them. Otherwise, he felt it was rather strange that they would simply smile slightly or call each other’s names when meeting each morning.

Although he knew everyone meant well, he still wanted to teach them how to greet each other properly, as this would seem more harmonious.

So now, everyone in the Tribe would greet each other whether meeting in the morning, afternoon, or evening, using the Earth equivalents of good morning, good afternoon, or good night.

“En, good morning. Have you all brought the things I asked you to bring last night?” Su Bai nodded lightly.

After he had confirmed the list last night, he had also asked those people to prepare the things they needed to bring on this outing.

After all, they were going out to mine, not for leisure activities, so there were many things that needed to be prepared.

Moreover, since they were currently in the snow season, even more things needed to be prepared.

“Yes, Shaman. We’ve brought everything according to your instructions: hoes, shovels, stone hammers, and some small tools. Each person has brought a set.” Yan Jiao said, taking the lead.

After receiving the orders last night, he had hastily assembled the personnel through the night. After announcing the orders to them, he had them return to prepare their equipment.

“Besides the tools, have you all prepared your weapons? This outing won’t be as simple as hunting.” Su Bai asked seriously.

His expression and tone today were much more serious than usual, because this time was truly quite a severe matter that could not be treated carelessly. He had to make these people take it seriously.

“Everything has been prepared. The Totem Warriors have all brought their Crocodile Blades, recurve bows, life-saving Shaman Bone Tablets, and some medicinal herbs,” Yan Jiao replied very earnestly.

He also understood very well that this time would not be as simple as their previous hunting expeditions. No Tribe had ever left their Tribe during the snow season, so he was quite worried and treating this task seriously.

The herbs had already been prepared before the snow season arrived. When they were prepared, it was clearly stated that Warriors must carry these herbs whenever they left the Tribe in future.

Not only must they carry Shaman Bone Tablets, but these herbs were life-saving items as well, and their preparation method was much simpler than Shaman Bone Tablets.

Most importantly, the hospital had been established by the Flame Dragon Tribe, although it only had a small staff of five or six people and most of the medicines were just herbs, this was still a good beginning. After all, things would gradually improve later on. Moreover, although the current hospital only had herbs, quite a few people still came for treatment.

Because many people only had minor ailments, and for these minor ailments there was no need to use Shaman Bone Tablets. Thus, everyone went to the hospital instead.

“Have you thoroughly checked everything? Each person must have these items; no oversights are allowed.” Su Bai asked.

“Everyone has them. We’ve checked three times to ensure there are no oversights,” Yan Jiao nodded.

These items had been checked once last night, then checked twice more when they assembled this morning. After all, these items were their life-saving equipment, so they dared not be negligent.

“Good. As I told you yesterday, you can most likely find these ores in caves, forests, or by rivers, especially in caves. You all have the samples in your hands. Bring back anything similar.” Su Bai loudly said.

He had already told everyone last night about the places where these ores might appear, and had precisely described the appearance and texture of these ores, even with the samples for them to see.

“Yes, we definitely won’t disappoint you.” Yan Jiao shouted loudly, taking the lead. He had now become a fanatical fan of Su Bai.

Although the other party was much younger than himself, the Shaman being only one or two years older than his own Daughter, he greatly admired the Shaman’s capabilities.

Whether it was his working ethic, efficiency, or various other qualities, they all commanded respect.

Although he would not be leaving the Tribe this time, he still had to lead the other Warriors before their departure.

“I won’t hold an overly elaborate ceremony for this expedition.” Su Bai said calmly.

He took the wooden bowl containing red pigment and began painting on Cang Shi’s face first, then passed it down to the others.
