I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 541, Cannot Bathe Outside

At nightfall, Ah Liv followed Sha Lan around for a while before returning to the Yong’an Building.

Due to her identity, she did not have dinner with Su Bai and the others, but instead ate with Sha Lan.

It was not that Su Bai did not want to eat with her, but Ah Liv felt that this would not be appropriate.

Sha Lan and the others also felt this was not appropriate, as she was from another Tribe and was not qualified to eat with the Shaman.

“Your Tribe is truly amazing. Was it like this before?” Ah Liv asked curiously, wondering if the Black Snake Tribe had transformed this Tribe into what it was now. After all, the Flame Dragon Tribe had previously been occupied by the Black Snake Tribe. In her impression, the Flame Dragon Tribe was not like this, which was why she thought so.

“No, all of this was personally created by our Shaman.” Sha Lan said while taking a bite of noodles.

Sha Lan knew what the other party had misunderstood, so she explained quite calmly. This was understandable though, as anyone who saw this would find it curious.

“It’s truly remarkable. I’m so envious that you have such a wonderful Shaman,” Ah Liv sighed, but then realised she had said something wrong and quickly added, “I mean – our Shaman is also very good.”

After the young woman finished speaking, she breathed a sigh of relief. If her Grandfather had heard those words, she would surely have been scolded to death.

However, she truly felt that the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Shaman was better, as he had transformed the Flame Dragon Tribe into what it was now. Both the living quarters and the food they were eating were excellent.

Ah Liv’s eyes were sparkling as she ate the food. Having never eaten noodles before, she absolutely loved them.

This food seemed like a delicacy to her, much better than the meat she had eaten previously.

Their conversation had only just begun, but dinner had been going on for quite some time.

This was not for any other reason except that Ah Liv truly loved this food too much. After finishing one mouthful, she simply focused on eating and had no leisure time for conversation.

Only now that she had nearly finished the food did she have the leisure time to stop and chat.

“If your Tribe continued to cooperate with us in the future, your Tribe would also become better and better.” Sha Lan said.

Sha Lan did not speak too directly, but deliberately spoke ambiguously. After all, cement houses and stone roads were impossible for other Tribes to have.

As well as noodles or other relatively fresh foods, these were also things other Tribes would not have. At most, they could help make other Tribes’ living conditions somewhat better. This was the most their Flame Dragon Tribe was willing to offer.

Su Bai had told several of them – not to reveal the Tribe’s secrets yet. This was the Flame Dragon Tribe’s trump card and secret weapon for attracting other Tribes.

Because in this Primitive Era, only the Flame Dragon Tribe had cement houses and stone roads, as well as those peculiar foods. These alone could attract many people.

If other Tribes were the same as the Flame Dragon Tribe and also had cement houses and stone roads, then the Flame Dragon Tribe would lose its appeal.

“I will definitely go back and tell Grandfather everything. He will surely be very shocked by this.” Ah Liv said earnestly.

The young woman still could not calm down from that sense of amazement even now. It could be said that she had been continuously amazed from the time she left the Green Vine Tribe until now.

Everything she saw and heard everywhere was shocking, and most of it could not be explained by common sense. What could not be explained was even more shocking.

“Have you finished eating? There’s more if it’s not enough,” Sha Lan asked, as she saw the other party had been wolfing down the food and was worried she might not have eaten enough.

“Enough, enough. I’m already full. I’m sorry for eating so much of your food,” Ah Liv said somewhat embarrassedly.

She could be said to have truly eaten a great deal – a full five bowls of noodles plus quite a bit of barbecued meat. She was thoroughly satisfied.

The young woman was also a Demi-Human, but her characteristics were quite minor and not obvious. If Sha Lan had not seen her tail, she might have thought she was Human like the Shaman. So, she was startled at first, wondering how a Human could eat so much. Only Demi-Humans had such large appetites.

Ah Liv’s characteristic was a short little tail behind her. That tail was so small that it was almost invisible unless one looked carefully. It was just a short little section of tail with light green fur.

It was probably even smaller than a rabbit’s tail. At first, Sha Lan had thought it was a decorative item, only later realising it was a tail.

“It doesn’t matter. If you’re not full, you can eat more. Our Tribe doesn’t lack food now,” Sha Lan said with full confidence.

This was the first time she felt so confident, because the Flame Dragon Tribe truly did not lack food.

“I’m really already full,” Ah Liv said embarrassedly. She would not dare eat more even if offered. She needed to know when to stop, otherwise it would be disgraceful to lose face during her first visit to someone else’s Tribe.

“Alright, then you should go and bathe first, then we’ll prepare to sleep. It’s already very late,” Sha Lan suggested.

After hearing this, Ah Liv looked outside and only then discovered it was already very dark. It was just that several fruit oil lamps were lit in the living room, making it so bright that she had not noticed.

She came to her senses and nodded, saying, “Alright, but in such cold weather, there shouldn’t be any water for bathing.”

The young woman was quite worried about the cold, because taking off clothes would be extremely cold, and the water would freeze easily. Taking a bath requires great courage.

If she were not in someone else’s Tribe now, she would not bathe no matter what, because it was truly too cold.

“Don’t worry. we’ll heat water for you. You can bath in here, no need to go outside,” Sha Lan smiled.

Although Sha Lans had developed the habit of bathing daily during summer, due to the extreme cold of the snow season, they could not bathe every day.

They bathed once every two or three days, which was already considered quite frequent. Some people only bathed once a week, and some even less frequently.

“I don’t need to go outside? But bathing in here will get everything wet.” Ah Liv said, looking reluctantly at the carpet beneath her feet.

The young woman had loved this carpet from the moment she entered. She simply could not put it down and had been walking barefoot on it the whole time, finding it very comfortable.

“We have toilets.” Sha Lan smiled slightly.

“Toilet? What is a toilet?” Ah Liv heard another new term.

“A toilet is a place for bathing and relieving oneself,” Sha Lan explained simply.

Ah Liv kept blinking her green eyes and said in amazement, “This is truly a magical Tribe.”
