I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 545, Something That Can Make Skin Better

Yan Hua looked at the bottles and jars on the table, her red eyes widening considerably, her face full of curiosity.

She picked up the bottle she had made herself and shook it, asking, “Shaman, what does this perfume smell like?”

She had already begun to imagine the scent of the perfume, thinking it surely could not be as simple as just rose fragrance.

“It’s just a lighter rose fragrance. This scent won’t be very strong. It would be light and pleasant.” Su Bai explained.

Perfume made using this method would not have a very strong fragrance, but it would not be completely odourless either. The scent would simply be somewhat lighter from the main flower used.

“I see. If my body has the scent of roses, I would definitely smell amazing.” Yan Hua said with certainty.

Yan Hua was also a woman, and naturally women liked things that were both fragrant and visually appealing. In fact, whenever she was not training, she would always follow Yu Ying into the greenhouse. There, she would immerse herself completely amongst those flowers, experiencing the vivid colours and wonderful fragrances even during the snow season.

Sometimes after staying there for a long time, when she returned to the Yong’an Building, her body would still carry a hint of rose fragrance.

She quite liked this scent and found it very pleasant, though it would dissipate quickly, which she found rather regrettable.

She had not expected that roses could now be made into perfume—this was truly incredible.

“In a while, you’ll be able to experience making perfume yourselves. Once you’ve successfully made it, you’ll definitely fall in love with this scent.” Su Bai smiled.

“Shaman, let’s make more of it. If we succeed, we could also take it to other Tribes to exchange for goods.” Yan Hua suggested. She thought that good things should certainly be made in larger quantities, especially since they had picked so many fresh flowers.

“Of course. You can continue making it. The steps you just performed were all correct.” Su Bai said.

The current perfume-making method was still relatively simple. Later, when conditions permitted, he would have Co Co make more advanced perfumes.

Those perfumes with complicated steps would last longer and have stronger fragrances.

The advanced perfume-making process would require distillation and extraction, which would take considerably more time.

“Yes, but Shaman, are there other methods for making perfume?” Yu Ying asked. Seeing that the Shaman’s expression still seemed somewhat unsatisfied, she thought there must be other methods.

“Of course there are, but those methods are far more troublesome and require a ton more time. For that, I’ll just leave those things Co Co.” Su Bai said.

“I see. Then I’ll make more of this kind first.” Yu Ying nodded, picking up yellow flowers and plucking the petals.

After more than half an hour, dozens of bottles of perfume appeared on the table surface. Each bottle was not large. The height was only that of an adult’s index finger, and the width was approximately three fingers wide.

Su Bai had deliberately wanted it this way, because these perfumes needed to create the appearance of being rare in quantity. Therefore, the containers were not very large, and the perfume inside was also relatively little.

After all, rarity increases value. Those people would scramble for these perfumes only if they knew they were not abundant. If everyone knew these perfumes were everywhere, they would not need to scramble for them.

Moreover, the value of these perfumes would not be high then, and the things they could be exchanged for would not be much either.

“Shaman, all of these are finished. Where should we put them?” Yu Ying asked curiously.

“Find a cool place to store them. Don’t put them in places exposed to direct sunlight, and don’t put them near fire,” Su Bai instructed.

After all, the main component of these perfumes was mostly alcohol, which could ignite if near open flames.

“Yes.” Yu Ying took a tray and placed all these bottles and jars on it.

“Shaman, besides making perfume, what else can we do?” Yan Hua’s curiosity had not ceased.

After all, during this long snow season, she certainly wanted to find things to pass the time.

Su Bai glanced at those roses and said, “Since there are still so many flowers left, I guess I can teach you to make face masks.”

Back on Earth, many beauty enthusiasts used flower petals to make face masks. This method was both natural and economical, and there were no other additives in it.

“Shaman, what are face masks?” Yan Hua heard another new term.

“Face masks are things that can make your skin smoother and fairer,” Su Bai explained simply and directly.

Of course, face masks only had minimal effects. They were not some miraculous cure-, and one could only see slight improvements. However, this was still better than nothing, so people on Earth remained enthusiastic about face masks.

“There are such wonderful things? Shaman, I want them.” Yan Hua made no attempt to hide her desire.

No girl did not want to become more beautiful, even those with the most carefree personalities.

“Haha, we’ll still use these flowers to make them,” Su Bai laughed heartily, continuing, “You still need to pluck these petals, then soak them in warm water. After two hours, use them to make face masks.”

This method he described was also used by many people on Earth and was quite simple.

“Okay.” Yan Hua and the others immediately nodded. Although Sha Lan had not spoken, she also desired to become more beautiful in her heart.

They placed all the petals in a wooden basin, then poured lots of warm water into the basin.

However, since it was currently the snow season, warm water would quickly turn cold, so they continuously added hot water to the basin to ensure the water temperature remained warm.

Thus, in anxious waiting, two hours passed. They scooped out all the flower petals from the wooden basin.

“Shaman, what should we do next?” Yan Hua asked, holding a handful of petals, eager to apply them to her face immediately.

“Put them in a small bowl, then mash them up.” Su Bai instructed.

“It’s so simple?” Yan Hua had thought it would be much more complex.

“It’s that simple. After mashing them, apply them to your faces, then wash them off after a while,” Su Bai nodded.

This method was like using cucumbers and fruit slices on the face back on Earth.

It was probably just a psychological effect, but mashed petals would be more effective than cucumbers and fruit slices. Long-term use could still show results.

“Yes.” Yan Hua and the others responded without hesitation.
