I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 518, The Final Preparations

Su Bai looked at the Wolf Tail Grass Paper in his hand and began to contemplate, his expression becoming somewhat serious.

Written on the paper were the names of other Tribes that had been sewn together, six in total.

The person said these six were all that he knew, and he was not very clear about the others.

“This number is rather high.” Su Bai said with furrowed brows.

However, he still felt somewhat disappointed. He had originally thought the other party would write down all of them, but they had only written six.

Though it was only six, the number was still quite frightening. Dealing with them later would be a rather troublesome matter.

“Shaman, I have never heard of these six Tribes before.” Sha Lan stated with certainty. Because Sha Lan had an exceptional memory, these six names had never appeared in her recollections.

“Fortunately, none of them are very close to us, so there’s no need to worry too much,” Su Bai said calmly.

The distances to these six Tribes varied, some far and some near, but they were all a fair distance from the Flame Dragon Tribe, which was quite reassuring.

Of course, the distances for these six Tribes were not marked very clearly, just approximate locations, calculated by how many days it would take to travel from the Flame Dragon Tribe.

All six Tribes would take four to five days of walking from the Flame Dragon Tribe, with only one Tribe taking three and a half days of walking.

But that Tribe was quite small, with only about a thousand people, so there was absolutely no need to worry about it.

“Indeed, this is truly fortunate. Otherwise, we truly wouldn’t know what to do.” Sha Lan also involuntarily breathed a sigh of relief.

Initially, when the Sha Lan received this list, she did not dare look at it, fearing they might encounter Tribes that were very close.

“Since these six Tribes aren’t very close to us, there’s no need to worry. We have plenty of time to make the necessary arrangements.” Su Bai said seriously.

He also breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it. He had thought that if any of these six Tribes were very close, they would need to be dealt with first. With the Tribe about to welcome the snow season, dealing with them would certainly be hindered.

“Another very good point is that these Tribes are quite scattered and not clustered together, so we needn’t worry.” Sha Lan said.

This was also something to be grateful for. If these six Tribes were densely packed together, it would also be a headache-inducing issue.

“Although we know of six, there are many more we do not know about, which is also concerning,” Su Bai gravely said.

When he heard what those people said, the Dark Scorpion Tribe had more than twenty Tribes under them, and now they only knew of six.

“I have a good idea. When we go to deal with those Tribes, we can find someone to question.” Sha Lan suggested. She meant that when they went to eradicate those Tribes, they could find people there to clarify matters.

“That’s a great suggestion.” Su Bai nodded.

“It will definitely be troublesome when the time comes.” Sha Lan could not help but begin to worry as well.

“Let’s not worry about them for now. How are the preparations for the Tribe coming along?” Su Bai asked.

Because the snow season was almost upon them, there was not much leisure time to manage other matters. Since these six Tribes did not pose a significant problem, there was no need to address them yet.

“Everything has been prepared. We are just awaiting the arrival of the snow season.” Sha Lan immediately adjusted her mindset.

After all, the greatest crisis facing the Tribe now was the snow season, and they certainly needed to safely get through it first.

She also felt that there was no need to worry too much about things that hadn’t happened yet. They could discuss them after the snow season had passed.

“That’s good. The snow season begins the day after tomorrow, so check again to ensure nothing is overlooked.” Su Bai instructed.

To welcome the snow season, the Tribe had built many cement houses, and prepared various Animal Hides and food.

However, this time, the food supplies were many times greater than before because with the help of hot air balloons, the problem of transporting food had been solved.

The Hunting Team members just needed to take turns going to the Hunting Ground to replace each other, and hot air balloons would specifically transport the hunted food back.

They no longer needed to carry large animals back each time. Although the beasts appeared very large, they did not last long when eaten.

It was not that the Hunting Team could not hunt, but transporting food had become the biggest problem. Because they could not each bring back large amounts of food, they could only carry the largest animal they could manage.

Hot air balloons completely solved their problem, so they had no more concerns about hunting and could hunt as much as they were able.

“Good, I’ll check again later to ensure each household has received Animal Hides and meat, so they won’t go hungry or cold during the snow season.” Sha Lan said. She might not excel in other areas, but her memory was exceptional, and her sense of responsibility was the strongest. For matters entrusted to her, within her capabilities, there was nothing she could not handle well.

“Yes, please pay extra attention to these matters. As long as we’re prepared, we needn’t fear the snow season,” Su Bai said kindly.

He trusted Sha Lan quite well, knowing that she would handle matters reliably, so he was not too concerned.

“By the way, Shaman, we’ve burned a lot of charcoal in advance, and when the snow season arrives, we’ll distribute some.” Sha Lan continued.

Because once the snow season arrives, many trees would be dampened by ice and snow, making it impossible to burn them. Moreover, without the Sun during the snow season, those materials could not dry either.

So, during the rainy season and before the snow season, they would stockpile some timber to use.

And during the snow season, they would store some charcoal, so they could burn the charcoal in the middle of houses for warmth.

“Good. Those with weaker Physiques can be given more, while Totem Warriors don’t need as much.” Su Bai arranged.

It was important to know that manpower was what the Flame Dragon Tribe needed the most now. They could not let a large number of people freeze to death because of the snow season. Since Totem Warriors had excellent stamina and resistance to external influences, there was not too much concern if they did not have enough charcoal.

“Yes, I will arrange accordingly. I’ll focus on distributing some to those in the outer region of the Tribe,” Sha Lan nodded. Sha Lan also planned to do this because there were many children in the Tribe, and not every person in every household could receive Animal Hides.

At this time, for them, charcoal became most important, as they relied entirely on charcoal for warmth to get through the snow season.

“En, you may go and make arrangements now,” Su Bai said calmly.
