I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 533, A Face That Looks Rather Amusing

Ah Liv began to fall into contemplation, as the Green Vine Tribe was not particularly short of dried meat at present.

When the snow season had arrived, they had also stored a great deal, and could still manage for some time.

However, upon hearing the other party mention ceramics and the preserved meat in the hands of Yu Ying just now, these were all quite attractive offers. It was just that she did not know what a ceramic was.

“Shaman, I would like to know what a ceramic is?” Ah Liv mustered her courage to ask.

Su Bai gestured for someone nearby to fetch something from the sled, and after it was brought over, he passed it to her, saying. “This is a ceramic, something only our Flame Dragon Tribe possesses.”

“This is ceramic?” After Ah Liv took it in her hands, she began to examine it earnestly, her green eyes filled with wonder.

This was the first time she had seen such a thing. The sensation of holding it and the appearance of this object were both quite distinctive, and she could sense that this was a fine item.

She immediately thought of her own Father, who was so fond of peculiar things. He would certainly be very pleased with this item, particularly because of how strange and beautiful it was.

“Indeed, our Tribe has many of these. Other Tribes exchange two bags of dried meat for one piece of ceramic, and some use even more depending on the piece.” Su Bai spoke in an understated manner.

This seemed perfectly normal to him, as the appearance of ceramics in Primitive Tribes was already quite remarkable.

“This one item actually require so much dried meat?” Ah Liv was so startled that she quickly gripped the ceramic in her hands more tightly, worried that if she accidentally damaged it, that would be dreadful.

Although the Green Vine Tribe presently had enough food, it could not withstand extravagance nor trade with third parties.

“Well then, is this enough for our cooperation?” Su Bai asked earnestly, not wishing to waste excessive time on this matter.

If the other party was willing, then they would progress; if unwilling, he would quickly seek the next Tribe. The sled moved at considerable speed, so there was no need to waste too much time here.

“Okay, but I must first speak with my Father about this. I cannot make this decision myself.” Ah Liv immediately said.

Upon hearing the value of this ceramic, she agreed at once, as this item required two bags of dried meat to exchange for.

One must understand that with two bags of dried meat, one could go to the Spotted Deer Tribe and exchange for quite a few items in return, so this opportunity must be seized.

“If you do not object, I could visit your Tribe and ask him directly.” Su Bai said.

He principally wished to observe what manner of situation other Tribes were in, and how other Tribes were coping with the snow season.

Not only this, but he harboured a small consideration in his heart, namely to see whether there might be anything other Tribes required the Flame Dragon Tribe’s assistance. If so, this could serve as leverage.

Alternatively, he wished to see whether other Tribes possessed anything the Flame Dragon Tribe required, making future trade more convenient.

“That would be fine.” Ah Liv nodded, her initial worry and wariness gradually dissipating.

*Step step step…* Just as the young woman finished speaking, a series of running sounds came from behind her.

As the sounds drew nearer, the owners of those sounds gradually became clear from their original small black dots.

These were Warriors of the Green Vine Tribe, all wrapped up thoroughly, each holding a spear in their hands.

The green haired man leading them wore an extremely serious expression, saying: “Ah Liv, why did you run out by yourself? That was too dangerous.”

After speaking, he positioned Ah Liv behind him, looking at Su Bai and the others with a most serious expression.

He immediately raised the weapon in his hand towards them, his tone carrying murderous intent. “Who are you? What do you intend to do with our Ah Liv?”

Ye Jiu and the others did not remain passive either, immediately taking up their weapons and standing before Su Bai.

Ye Jiu’s grey eyes narrowed slightly. Should the other party dare make any rash moves, she would certainly not allow them to leave alive.

“Uncle Dole, I am fine. I was just helping Father catch some fish. These people are not evil, and they did not do anything to me.” Ah Liv hastily struggled free to explain.

She thought that if she did not speak now, the two groups would very easily come to trade blows.

“Are you really okay? With us here, you can tell us the truth.” Dole immediately asked.

He was the Head of the Green Vine Tribe’s Patrol Team, and upon hearing that Ah Liv had gone missing, he had immediately rushed out of the Tribe.

His medium-short green hair was quite conspicuous, and his face was exceptionally large, which did not match well with those small green bean-like eyes. His nose was also particularly large. In summary, his features together were rather amusing.

Combined with his height of one hundred eighty metres, paired with those small eyes and large nose, he appeared especially comical.

“I am fine. They wish to cooperate with our Tribe, and they are from the Flame Dragon Tribe.” Ah Liv hastily explained.

She certainly did not wish for the ceramic, which was about to come into her possession, to disappear again. If they were gone from her hands, that would be the most regrettable thing, as her Father would love it as well.

“Wish to cooperate with our Tribe? Cooperate with us during the snow season? Are you joking?” Dole would not believe it no matter what.

Never had anyone chosen to seek cooperation with another Tribe during the snow season. This was simply suicidal behaviour.

Setting aside what the content of the cooperation might be, merely considering the snow that continued falling from the sky and the thick accumulated snow on the roads, no one would act in such a manner.

“They really wish to cooperate with us, and have even brought items with them,” Ah Liv passed the ceramic in her hands to him.

Dole took the ceramic and examined it. Due to his very small eyes, he held the ceramic very close to them.

He looked carefully for quite some time, then said. “This is indeed a fine item. I wonder what they wish to cooperate on?”

“Let us return first to discuss this. It is cold out here.” Ah Liv urged, not wishing to continue standing on this ice surface.

She was not like the people of the Flame Dragon Tribe, who wore thick Animal Hide on their bodies, along with having coverings, which she could not identify. Still, those things certainly look very warm.

She herself had been away from the Tribe for quite some time, and both her hands and cheeks had already turned red with cold, gradually losing sensation. Therefore, she did not wish to remain outside any longer.

Dole’s amusing face was filled with a puzzled expression. After returning the ceramic, he called for Ah Liv to be escorted walking in front.

He turned back to look at the people of the Flame Dragon Tribe. Though he said nothing, his gaze continued to appraise them from head to toe.

Su Bai also said nothing, merely continuing to suppress his laughter, as the other party’s face was truly too amusing.

However, he could not laugh aloud in the other party’s presence, as this would be rude, so he continued to restrain himself.
