Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 900: Chapter 899: The Budding of the Hundred Beasts Threat Theory

Mentioning weak Pokemon, besides the initial Bug Type Pokemon, you can’t avoid talking about Wishiwashi.

The small Wishiwashi are like dancers in The Sea, but this cannot obscure their weak reality.

During the evolution process, Magikarp evolved itself into a special state where most of its body is bone, making itself less appetizing and reducing its chances of being eaten.

Wishiwashi are different from Magikarp, not only are they weak themselves, but they are also very tasty, which attracts many predators.

Dewgong, Pelipper, and Wailord all have Wishiwashi on their menu.

Sometimes in dozens, sometimes a ton at a time, Wishiwashi appear extremely vulnerable when facing these predators; for survival, Wishiwashi learned to cooperate.

To fight against enemies, Wishiwashi form special formations, turning into a sea monster that even Gyarados would fear.

Although a single one is very weak, as long as they gather together and work in unity, they can possess great strength.

The more they are, the stronger the Wishiwashi school is, and this is something they are proud of. The Water Gun they fire together has power surpassing Hydro Pump.

In the Pokemon World, few Pokemon would eat Magikarp, but it’s different here. ℴ

Sea King Types and Sea Beasts eat Magikarp, and Gyarados, in turn, eat them, adding several links to the existing food chain.

The weak Magikarp is unwilling to be treated as mere food, thus gradually emerging from this form.

By maintaining a massive school of Magikarp with its internal energy, it deters the predators of the sea. The pirate ship’s attack angered these Magikarp.

Compared to Wishiwashi, Magikarp doesn’t have much advantage. Due to its limited abilities, it couldn’t learn Water Gun but has Tackle and Splash.

Under the united effort of its companions, the Magikarp school behaves like one entity, collectively leaping from the sea towards that pirate ship.

One Magikarp is weak, ten Magikarp are weak as well, but when they gather in hundreds or thousands and use Pokemon energy to form a special entity, their Splash can achieve the effect of Body Slam.

Members of the Straw Hat Pirates witnessed with their own eyes the sinking of that pirate ship, which was much larger than the Merry, and couldn’t help but look at Sanji. If Luffy really did something, they might be in trouble.

”So... what do we do now?”

”Just wait, this process won’t take long... no, maybe we won’t have to wait at all.”

Sanji saw a familiar figure underwater, it was the Gyarados from Baratie. It had no intention of leaving with Sanji; there always had to be a Gyarados staying in the Four Seas to protect the tribe, otherwise, their homeland might be stolen when they return.

This Gyarados was one of those staying behind, and it came here just to send off Sanji.

With the Gyarados’ relationship, the Merry had a secure place within the Magikarp school and started its journey smoothly.

...

At this moment, Yamato and others were experiencing the potato feast on a new island. This island was rich in potatoes, and during the harvest days, they would hold a grand harvest festival.

Ulti, watching the various flavored tornado potato towers, was rarely caught in a dilemma, while Yamato took part in games on the island with Smeargle and Blissey. Blissey even sat on Yamato’s head in a very special posture.

By its body shape, it shouldn’t be able to do that, but with a skill called Minimize, it can shrink its size to increase its evasion rate.

It’s reported that, in some Pokemon World, a genius had a brainwave and carried many Muk, making them Minimize, and hide on himself, delivering surprise attacks to enemies.

Blissey is in a similar situation, but it merely makes it convenient to go outside. If not noticed, it’s hardly different from Yamato’s headwear now.

Page One went off to participate in the goldfish catching activity, and without a fishing contest, rounding it off, catching goldfish is also possible.

Compared to the leisurely trio, things weren’t so relaxed back at Ghost Island.

Dragonite Postal has already made preparations and has designated its territories according to the Nautical Chart.

”You are responsible for external communications with Ghost Island. You are responsible for Area Seven, you are responsible for Area Six...”

Inside Ghost Island, Dragonite formed neat formations, receiving task allocations from Arceus. Those who hadn’t been assigned areas were anxiously waiting for the next steps.

”No need to worry about the areas, arrangements for rotation will be made in a while. You two should go find Tesoro later, stay by his side to handle some tasks for him, and also protect his family.”

There’s no need to worry about safety inside Ghost Island, as Kaidou’s paranoia frequently flares up, Wano Kuni is built like an iron barrel, and even those residing here hardly see outsiders.

With subordinates fighting hard outside, at least no disasters should happen at home. Arceus does not want something like Zephyr’s family being attacked to occur on Ghost Island, which is why top-tier fighters always remain stationed here, strictly preventing any home raids.

Even Sea Emperors cannot completely avoid this issue. When Big Mom went to Ghost Island in the original timeline, her home was ransacked clean by Blackbeard.

However, there are always cadres’ families that need to travel, or due to personal lifestyle choices, do not live on Ghost Island. Tesoro and Stella are an example.

Arranging two Dragonite by Tesoro’s side serves one purpose because his business is particularly busy, requiring special deliveries of valuables and special intelligence transfers, roles previously handled by Zeraora.

With the emergence of Dragonite Postal, new personnel can also be deployed there. Moreover, as Hundred Beasts’ movements grow larger, the environment around Tesoro also becomes increasingly complex.

Especially after Kaidou and Red Hair’s ”meeting,” the World Government began to have allegations of a Hundred Beasts threat.

Many believe, compared to the aging Whitebeard and the secretly acting Dragon, the frequently impactful Hundred Beasts is the biggest threat to the World Government.

The annual profit from Hundred Beasts Fruit is astronomical, and this is merely the turnover of public transactions. How much profit is gained from private large transactions is only known by the high-ranking members of Hundred Beasts.

And this money eventually transforms into part of Hundred Beasts’ ”military” force. In their view now, Hundred Beasts is like an ever-expanding powder keg.

But numerous within the World Government cannot resist this allure and are adding more gunpowder into the barrel, especially among those Heavenly Celestial Dragons. They are uninterested in the consequences, focusing only on immediate benefits.

After all, to them, as long as their life remains unaffected, no matter how the world falls apart, it’s acceptable. Since this company enables them to indulge, it justifies its existence.
