Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 876: Chapter 875: Refute Me! Come On, Refute Me!

The three dragons were originally one entity, but once dispersed, Kyurem, as the power of the shell, lost the ability to fly.

However, it has never been classified together with Groudon by people, because it can merge, and both Dark Kyurem and Flame White Kyurem have the ability to fly.

Yamato’s lightning wings are not wings in the traditional sense, but rather similar to a pair of electromagnetic propellers. Over the years, she hasn’t remained stagnant. Although Reshiram reacted indifferently to her, Zekrom somewhat acknowledged her.

Not all strength can be used, but some power of thunder is still fine, and these wings are proof of that.

The Thousand-Year Dragons’ tribe flew to a small island nearby for a temporary rest. The Thousand-Year Dragon, being a creature rather than a clock, carries special heritage in its bloodline that allows it to know the exact time of Dragon Island’s appearance, but not down to the minute or second.

In most cases, the Thousand-Year Dragon arrives nearby in advance, much like catching a train, arriving early just means waiting; if you’re late, no one will wait for you.

How long to wait specifically depends on the arrangements of the person in charge. Some people leave an hour early, while others leave more than half a day early.

Ferren’s father, to prevent encountering uncertainties on the road and to give clan members ample rest time, planned ahead by more than just a day or two.

Right after New Year 1520 ended, Ferren’s father was already preparing for this matter.

Now, while Yamato is off doing other things, the time left is put to good use.

...

Yamato and her companions were simply bored, but it was a different story for those below; not referring to Hawkeye, but to the fleet of pirates up ahead.

This was the ”Great Pirate” Krieg from the East Sea, with a bounty of 17 million Belly. In the East Sea, which was turned upside down several times, he was considered a tyrant, having once commanded a force of 5,000 men and 50 pirate ships.

The reason we say once is because his forces have now been halved.

While in the East Sea, he was the largest pirate group, but driven by greed to enter the Grand Line, he quickly learned what cruelty was.

His ship was so large it couldn’t pass through the narrow route of Inverted Mountain, so the Klick Pirates ventured through the Windless Zone into the Grand Line.

He should be thankful for being a pirate of the East Sea; had he directly entered the New World, those 5,000 men might not even qualify as the lowest-tier miners.

The Windless Zone has Sea King Types, making passage very dangerous for ordinary ships, but not impossible. After paying some costs, Krieg successfully entered the Grand Line, only to encounter a bored Hawkeye.

Despite losing half his crew, Krieg still didn’t understand why that monster was chasing him.

Swoosh!

The gleam of a blade flashed, and another ship sank into the sea right in front of those pirates, Hawkeye chasing them at a leisurely pace. Each time Krieg’s men thought they had lost Hawkeye, he’d reappear and sink another ship with one slash.

But thereafter, Hawkeye would resume his drift with the waves, letting Krieg pull away before catching up again.

”Chief Krieg! That monster is still behind us! He’s still there!!”

”Fire the cannons.” 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

”But the cannons are useless against him...”

”I meant fire on those ships lagging behind to hinder that monster.”

”Ah? But... I understand!”

Faced with Krieg’s terrifying gaze, he swallowed his words.

Krieg embodied arrogance, ruthlessness, and treachery, and the cold-hearted man wouldn’t care about the lives of his subordinates, only wanting them to buy time.

With several cannon shots, the masts of the pirate ships at the back were broken.

At this time, they still hadn’t entered the Windless Zone, their ships still relying on wind power. With the masts broken, they temporarily lost their mobility, and Hawkeye seemed to have really disappeared; for the moment, the devil’s whereabouts were unknown.

But in fact, Hawkeye didn’t continue the chase, unrelated to Krieg’s actions.

...

A few minutes earlier, Yamato sprayed frost, freezing the sea area in front of Hawkeye, landing right before him.

”Hey! So it was you who kept swinging your sword at the sky, huh? Don’t you know that could easily hurt someone! You... uh, Ulti, how do you provoke people? I don’t think I’ve done something like this before.”

Halfway through speaking, she suddenly pulled Ulti over, crouching to ask for advice. Yamato had experienced many battles, but she always had sufficient reasons before.

Hawkeye, although affecting the sky, his aftermath carried no real power, merely scattering cloud formations.

Her hands itching as she descended, she hadn’t thought it through, and now she found herself at a loss for words.

”Why ask me about this?”

”You’ve got experience.”

”....Why bother finding a reason to fight? Just grab your stick and hit him! Learn from your old man!”

Their discussion hadn’t reached a conclusion, but Hawkeye provided an answer first.

”Were you flying in the sky earlier? My apologies then.”

”What, you’re supposed to refute me! Go ahead and refute me! Aren’t you one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea? Shouldn’t you arrogantly say ’So what?’ How can I fight you like this!”

Yamato never anticipated such a response from Hawkeye, leaving her even more unsure of how to proceed.

”A fight? Though I’m quite bored now and wouldn’t mind exchanging blows, why would someone of your caliber be here? The Ghost Princess with a bounty of 1.78 billion Belly should be active in the New World, shouldn’t she?”

”Aren’t you the same? Anyway, since we’re both bored, let’s have a fight!”

In the end, Yamato couldn’t find a suitable reason, but nonetheless, she entered into a fight with Hawkeye. Compared to those feeble underlings, Yamato was more worthy of him drawing his sword, her strength acknowledged by Hawkeye despite her not being a swordsman.

Although he lived with baboons on an island, he could still see the information in the newspapers.

Jumping from the small boat onto the ice surface created by Yamato, Hawkeye drew the long blade on his back - the Twelve Supreme Great Blade - Black Blade - Yoru.

At the moment he drew the blade, his hawk-like eyes emitted an incredibly sharp aura.

But before the battle began, there came some untimely noises, the sound of cannon fire ringing out once more.

The ship whose mast was broken by Krieg earlier realized escape was impossible, making a last ditch effort to use artillery to take Hawkeye down while he was distracted in a fight.

”Tch, annoying guys, Ulti, Pei, lend a hand, quiet those guys down.”

”Got it, they actually dirtied my skirt, which Pei gave me. Let’s go, Pei, show these guys what we’re made of!”
