Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 869: Chapter 868: The Dangers of the Colossal Giant

The impact of size is enormous. To this day, Elbaf is still recognized as the world’s strongest nation, aside from the strength of the unknown Giant King and a few strong individuals. The real strength of the Giant Race lies in their average combat power.

Although most of the giants who appeared have been humbled, those who can humble them are strong among ordinary humans, and there aren’t many who can reach that level.

At the more basic level of combat power, ordinary Giant Race soldiers can easily deal with hundreds of ordinary human soldiers.

The world’s strongest country looks not only at individual strength but also at the overall strength of the nation.

The size of Sanjuan Wolf is an extremely rare occurrence even among the Giant Race. Whether it’s Oars from the Ancient Giant Race or Wadatsumi from the giant Fishman Race, they are far from comparable to the Evil Wolf.

”Oh, there are fish biting my feet. Why are these bees stinging me? So annoying.”

Sanjuan Wolf muttered to himself, then looked up at the sky.

He can withstand the damage from Flygon, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel pain. At this moment, he is waving his arms to drive away those Flygons, sometimes bending down to grab a handful of sand from the seabed and throwing it into the air.

There is no fancy technique, but the brute force coming with his size, even if it’s just a regular stone, makes it uncomfortable for Flygon to get hit. The Flygon expanding the Defend Barrier barely took the scatter shot thrown by the Evil Wolf but was forced to fly backward for a good distance due to the impact.

”I’m so hungry. There should be a lot of food on that island... Hmm? Big fish?”

The Evil Wolf suddenly felt something tripping his foot and a rather strong sensation of pain coming through.

He doesn’t care about small fish and shrimps biting his feet, but big fish are different. Not only do they bite harder, but they also can fill him up. Although he doesn’t particularly want to eat fish right now, it’s not impossible to use them to satisfy hunger.

Only to see Sanjuan Wolf give a mighty kick, and a small Sea King Type was actually kicked out by him.

This was a Sea King Type tamed by Manaphy. Most Sea King Types only give Manaphy face and make way.

But some special individuals are easier to get along with and thus become tamed by Manaphy. Facing this super-sized giant, Jinbe naturally found some relatively large helpers to come along.

However, those large Sea King Types that are hundreds of meters long are not included, otherwise, it wouldn’t have been so troublesome to stop the Evil Wolf.

”Such a big fish... Hmm? You guys are so annoying.”

Looking at the Sea King Type, Sanjuan Wolf was about to make a move, but suddenly two arms reached out from underwater and hugged Sanjuan Wolf.

In the Evil Wolf’s struggle, a Fishman hugging his thigh with all his might also revealed his figure. It was Wadatsumi, who had once followed Vander Decken IX.

Wadatsumi is huge, but he is rather kind-hearted. After Vander Decken IX and Hody Jones were brought to justice, he stayed in the mining company. As the largest guy on Fishman Island, he naturally was brought along, otherwise, Jinbe wouldn’t have been delayed so long to get here.

At this moment, he was also striving to protect his home, and it was his power that just slightly limited Sanjuan Wolf.

”Get off me! I want to go... to the island. I’ve had enough fish!”

”Don’t think about it. I won’t let you pass. Boss Jinbe said we can’t let you on the island!”

This is another of Wadatsumi’s traits: loyalty. His heart is more like a child’s, always following the words of those who are kind to him.

Sanjuan Wolf, being one of those ferocious criminals the World Government wants to erase, is naturally not a good character. His massive fist aimed at Wadatsumi’s head, making stars appear in Wadatsumi’s eyes when it hit, then he was kicked away by the Evil Wolf.

Nevertheless, he did not run away. Instead, he started taking deep breaths, causing his body size to keep expanding.

He is a Pufferfish Man, possessing the ability to rapidly expand by absorbing air and water. Although it’s not particularly functional, it’s very visually intimidating to the opponent.

”You’ve come! ...Puh...”

Wadatsumi covered his mouth with his hand after uttering just a few words because speaking would cause him to lose air, and once he loses air, he can’t maintain his enlarged form.

The enlarged Wadatsumi caught Sanjuan Wolf’s attention, and at that moment, in the nearby sea area, Jinbe made his move.

”Fishman Karate Secret Technique: Murasaki!”

A water ball in Jinbe’s hand transformed into powerful waves with strong penetrating power that pierced through Sanjuan Wolf’s enormous body. He hadn’t acted until he was sure of a chance for a decisive blow.

Murasaki is one of the secret techniques of Fishman Karate. Its powerful penetrating force pierced through Sanjuan Wolf’s body, but it didn’t achieve the expected effect.

”Damn, even that couldn’t stop him directly?”

Jinbe knew that killing such a large giant directly would be difficult, so his goal was to limit the Evil Wolf’s movement. When attacking, he aimed for the Evil Wolf’s knee, originally thinking that piercing through that would cause the Evil Wolf to lose balance and fall.

The attack succeeded, but it seemed Jinbe underestimated the Evil Wolf’s physical prowess. Even though his knee was pierced by Murasaki, it only caused him to stagger slightly, without making him fall.

Moreover, after the attack, the residual experimental drug inside Evil Wolf seemingly took effect again. His eyes turned red, beginning to attack everything around indiscriminately.

His gigantic body danced wildly, even causing small tsunamis. Even for Jinbe, maintaining balance in such sea currents was quite challenging.

...

”Princess Otohime, almost everyone has left. You should leave as well; it’s dangerous here.”

On New Fishman Island, as a precaution, they decided to first evacuate all the Fishmen living there, even the Trapinch used Bubble Coral to leave through the escape route.

Yet, Otohime was still directing the internal evacuation.

”No, I’ll be the last to leave. As long as I’m here, people won’t panic, and they can leave in an orderly manner.”

Evasion is most afraid of chaos. The trampling incidents that accompany panic are more likely to cause casualties, and people who could have left might die because of it.

Otohime couldn’t change this situation, but she could find ways to calm them down. As royalty staying here, she was the greatest reassurance for the citizens.

”But Princess...”

”Don’t worry. I’ve already sensed it; someone has returned.”

”What are you talking about?”

”I mean, the hero of the Fishman Race has also returned.”

Otohime, possessing an incredibly powerful Observation Haki, and Tiger, having gained Palafin’s abilities, also had the power of ultrasound communication. With this ability, his Observation Haki was greatly enhanced, and he successfully established contact with Otohime.
