Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 886: Chapter 885: The Pirate King Will Not Be You

Erik, a mercenary by profession, is also considered a bounty hunter, but most of the time, he accepts commissions from the Navy.

The Paramecia-type: Sickle-Sickle Fruit user can unleash powerful Scythe Weasel Slashes through his fingers.

The sharp scythe can easily shatter rocks, and without needing to charge up, he can unleash countless powerful wind blades as long as his hand speed is fast enough.

Of course, this also has its drawbacks. While it raises the minimum attack level, Erik’s maximum attack power is also capped, and no amount of charging up can increase the power of his sickle; he can only increase his attack power through quantity.

He can release a torrent of sickles to form a scythe tornado, but the power of each sickle does not increase.

Achieving qualitative change is extremely difficult for him.

Such abilities are quite troublesome in the East Sea, but for the Thousand-Year Dragon fighting in the New World, Erik’s attacks are merely a scratch.

No matter how strong or numerous, an attack that can’t break through defenses is meaningless.

With the Primitive Fruit + the ancestral giant bird ability, Ferren is already one of the few dual ability users among the Hundred Beasts, not to mention possessing the body of a beast like the Thousand-Year Dragon.

From another perspective, Lord Dragon is like the second old man at the village entrance who watched his father being born and even lived with them for a while. Although they don’t know each other, they are family. If you insist on counting it, he might have to call Lord Dragon his great-uncle.

Now that someone has sent the frail great-uncle back home, there’s no need to express anything, but offering a glass of water is still doable.

Making these people realize the gap in the world is enough for them.

He’s not Kaidou and isn’t interested in giving lectures every day; opening their eyes is more than sufficient.

”I’ve let you attack for so long, haven’t you had enough?”

The essence of Erik’s Sickle-Sickle Fruit is unleashing invisible wind blades, which, being colorless, means his opponents can barely see the change in the shape of the air, and many enemies can’t react to his attacks.

But Ferren is different. He doesn’t even predict; he just uses his physical resilience to endure the attacks.

To an outsider, it looks like Erik is continuously waving his fingers, while Ferren steadily approaches him.

Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, Erik runs backward, trying to increase the distance between himself and Ferren.

But with a flap of his wings, Ferren reappears in front of Erik.

”Where do you think you’re going?”

Boom!

With a right punch, Erik is sent flying by Ferren, crashing through several ruin walls before coming to a stop.

”Yamato sister, let me handle it, one hit is enough for a guy like that.”

Watching Ferren play with Erik like a cat toying with a mouse, Page One couldn’t wait. Toying with too weak an opponent is meaningless.

”Forget it, this is the affair of the Thousand-Year Dragon, let them handle it themselves; besides Ferren has no difficulty dealing with that guy. He probably doesn’t want the little girl to see such a bloody scene.”

Yamato doesn’t think Ferren will fail here, and the diminishing sounds from the ruins already speak for themselves.

”Heracross, Heracross~”

At this moment, Heracross is flying around Yamato, saying something to her.

”Really, it sounds like you’re doing well.”

”You seem pretty familiar with Heracross; it’s never been this close to any stranger before.”

”Of course, after all, it is Heracross.”

Whether it’s the Power of the Evergreen or her unique identity, the first generation Pokemon born on Ghost Island naturally has a special affinity for Yamato, and Heracross is indeed tattling, even though Yamato hasn’t shown it, some people are already in trouble.

It was also on this day that Luffy officially heard the species name of Heracross from others; he had heard this term from Heracross before, but he didn’t know much about this special transliterated word.

Originally, Luffy had some questions about Heracross, but Ferren, who had returned, interrupted him.

”It’s already handled.”

Accompanied by Lord Dragon, Yamato, and her group, including Lord Dragon, headed to Luffy’s Merry. Given Lord Dragon’s current weakness, flying by itself was too much, and Lord Dragon also wished to go to Dragon Island with Apisu, so they didn’t make him fly.

Luffy, with his big heart, didn’t mind such things; Apisu’s mind was entirely on Lord Dragon, and neither Usopp nor Nami noticed any issues, only thinking the opponent was strong.

However, Sanji and Zoro were different.

”Hey, pervy cook, that guy was gone for... less than three minutes, wasn’t he?”

”Even shorter, the strength of that Thousand-Year Dragon... is too strong, Erik is not a match; he seems not to want Apisu to see too brutal a scene, otherwise, he might have directly killed him.

However...”

”However, what?”

”Both those ladies are so beautiful!”

”You bastard!”

Zoro and Sanji watched these strangers cautiously from the back, while Yamato continued chatting with Heracross. Meanwhile, Luffy and Usopp started pestering Page One, asking him how he achieved his cool transformation.

The innocence from the heart is unmistakable; with his vanity satisfied, Page One explained a bit to them about the classification of Devil Fruits.

”Devil Fruits are divided into three types: there’s the ordinary Paramecia-type that you ate, as well as the Logia-type and Zoan-type. I am a rare Mythical Zoan.”

”So that’s how it is, sounds amazing...”

Some things can’t be faked, such as spotting a still innocent college student just entering society. Luffy is in that state now, acting like an ordinary little fan.

They got along relatively harmoniously until they returned to the seashore.

...

”So, you’re pirates too.”

”Yes, oh, I forgot to introduce myself; I’m Luffy, and I’m the man who’s going to become the Pirate King.”

Luffy’s classic declaration left his lips, but what reached his ears was only the laughter of Ulti and Page One.

”Alright, Pei, Ulti dear, stop laughing. It’s okay for others to have dreams, although it’s unattainable, we should still respect it.”

Yamato didn’t mock him, nor were her words sarcastic, but the hurt was just as potent.

”Hey! How can you say I can’t become the Pirate King?!”

”Simple, because the one who’s going to become Pirate King is my father.”

This was the ultimate consensus within the Hundred Beasts Pirates. Whether it was Yamato, who wanted to overthrow her father, or Ulti, who dared to call Kaidou an idiot to his face, they both shared a common belief that the next Pirate King would surely be Kaidou.
