Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 888: Chapter 887: Frozen World, Reshaped Worldview

Bolt Strike and Fusion Bolt, Cyan Flame and Fusion Flare, these are the exclusive moves of Zekrom and Reshiram, and as the vessel, Kyurem naturally also has its own exclusive moves.

The Frozen World that Yamato unleashed at this moment is a powerful skill she could perform with increasing mastery over this power.

When Kyurem was used by the Plasma team, even while imprisoned, the power it erupted was enough to freeze the entire Opelucid City. As an important city in the Unova Region, Opelucid City is vast, at least much larger than this ordinary small island.

Rocks, land, grass, wood, the island, and everything nearby were frozen at a speed visible to the naked eye. Within a few blinks, the temperature plummeted, and even the sky began to snow.

As Kyurem’s exclusive move, it possesses the terrifying might to change the weather; even if it’s still sunny, the water molecules in the air turn into ice crystals falling slowly under the extreme cold.

Even the Merry became covered in frost, but the area around Dragon was not frozen, showing how much more proficient Yamato had become in controlling her power.

Using a swordsman’s logic, not being able to cut anything is just as challenging as being able to cut through anything.

Compared to destruction, protection is far more difficult.

”Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing! Is there really a need for such a grand display? It’s freezing!”

Ulti tightened the cloak draped over her single-handedly, her voice tinged with dissatisfaction. Although the huge temperature difference wouldn’t affect her, it still felt uncomfortable.

”It’s because Dragon wouldn’t move on its own, so we can directly drag it out this way.”

”What nonsense, we’re at sea, that raft floating on the water could also be dragged over easily... Ah-choo! Damn it, it’s all your fault!”

”Almost there, almost... wait, let me get you a blanket...”

Rummaging through her satchel, Yamato took out a thick blanket. Her bag was filled with all kinds of odd things, and most of the time she could find various daily necessities.

”No need, I can squeeze with Page a bit, shouldn’t we get to business? Do you still want to waste time here?”

”Right, little girl, if you want to see Dragon, just come along, don’t worry, these ice won’t be a problem unless disturbed, it’s very sturdy.”

Seeing that the time was nearing, she didn’t linger; they were just passing acquaintances, and even with a Heracross, it only meant he wasn’t malicious, nothing more.

With Ferren and the others, she set foot on the ice with the Thousand-Year Dragon, and the group headed towards the sea beyond.

”Thirty million Belly is considered a good bounty in the East Sea, but on the Grand Line, pirates like you are a dime a dozen. If you hold onto such mindsets, you better disband.”

Because of the boy’s vanity, Page One commented a bit more as he left with Usopp, who was shivering.

Luffy’s wanted poster had undergone some changes; it was no longer just a smiling foolish face, but a picture of them having infiltrated the 16th Branch, with even parts of Zoro and Sanji appearing, looking more like a mishmash.

Page One inadvertently glanced at that wanted poster before making the comment.

...

Apisu had followed the cart pulling Dragon when Yamato left, letting go of her guard amidst the flying Thousand-Year Dragons, choosing to take the risk and follow. Most of the Straw Hat Pirates were left in a daze, unsure of what to do.

Hawkeye had shown Zoro what it meant to be the world’s number one Great Sword Master, but Zoro already knew he was outmatched; he simply hadn’t thought the gap was so vast. After experiencing top-tier swordsmanship, he found a new goal to strive for.

Yet Yamato’s arrival further reshaped their understanding of the world; she did nothing more than step forward, and the entire island was encased in ice, even the turbulent sea had stilled to a standstill.

The previously formidable Erik was effortlessly dealt with, making them question what terrifying challenges still lay ahead on their journey.

At this moment, Luffy sat back up, looking at the frozen sea, knowing the Merry couldn’t move for a while. Yet he still stepped towards Dragon.

”Wait! Luffy, where are you going?”

”To see where Dragon Island is.”

”Those people...”

”Herc said they’re not bad guys, I trust Herc. They’re strong, but I’m not giving up. Or have you all gotten scared?”

Adjusting his hat properly, Luffy chose to follow, and seeing his unyielding confidence, the corners of Zoro and Sanji’s mouths also turned up, reaffirming their faith in their captain.

”Uh, I just remembered I have this disease that makes me die as soon as I step onto ice... wait, wait, I can walk by myself!”

Usopp’s protests were ultimately futile, as he was dragged along by the two. Nami and Herc, however, stayed behind with concerned expressions on their faces as they watched the group.

...

Outside the mirage, several warships had lost their mobility, sharing the Navy’s goal of capturing the Thousand-Year Dragon, or more accurately, the admiral’s aim was for the Thousand-Year Dragon. Erik only came here upon accepting his employment.

”Admiral Nelson! None of the warships can move! The ice layer is very thick, and breaking through is extremely difficult!”

Sitting on a large warship, a corpulent Navy member watched, none other than Admiral Nelson Royale of the Navy’s 8th Branch.

Compared to Morgan and Mouse, at least they had a normal body shape, but Nelson had become so plump he resembled a ball, and aside from a tattoo on his belly and a coat draped over his back, it was hard to believe he was an admiral of a Navy branch.

Indeed, his obesity meant that he had almost entirely lost the ability to move normally.

”Bring me over to take a look.”

”Yes!”

Six soldiers lifted the chair Nelson was seated on with difficulty, bringing him to the ship’s edge to observe the ice.

”Strange, why did the sea suddenly freeze? Is Admiral Aokiji taking action here?”

In the East Sea, the Navy had the most worldly knowledge, and as a branch’s leader, they had some recognition of the headquarters’ upper echelons, even if it was just knowing a name and abilities without direct contact.

Freezing the sea was always considered Kuzan’s exclusive ability in the eyes of the Navy.

This realization brought a headache for Nelson—if Kuzan was really here, many troubles would ensue. Yet, little did he know the actual troubles he faced were far more severe than Kuzan himself.
