Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 897: Chapter 896: Check Out the Chubby Express

”Ah, Mr. Smoker... he should be a good person.”

As a naive girl with glasses, she earnestly executed her superior’s order, giving him a red stamp of approval.

”Although he looks menacing, he’s doing it for justice...”

”Alright, you don’t need to continue.”

Her subordinate is not the sharpest tool in the shed, Smoker could confirm, Tashigi hadn’t grasped the meaning behind his words.

Thinking back, Kuzan’s string of orders effectively blocked his chance to respond, it seems his ingrained impression was problematic.

”So, Mr. Smoker, what do we do next?”

”Do what? Of course, we’re going to chase Straw Hat boy.”

On his desk were a scattered bunch of wanted posters, with Yamato and Luffy’s on top.

Yamato’s record already showed she was not someone he could handle, but the latter was different, laughing at the execution platform, and having some inexplicable connection with the Dragon, and still a newcomer.

Although Kuzan didn’t let him meddle in Yamato’s affairs, he didn’t prohibit him from pursuing Straw Hat.

As for Yamato’s wanted poster on the table...

The Navy’s usual style, we might not be able to handle you for now, but we can increase your bounty, the Four Emperors’ bounty lost its practical value.

The bounty’s initial aim was to attract bounty hunters to kill pirates, but none have dared to openly challenge the Four Emperors’ bounty hunter appeared.

People continuously challenge the Four Emperors, but these warriors aren’t doing it for the Navy’s bounty, they all have bigger ambitions.

For them, money is no longer their goal.

The Navy team in Log Town largely remained unchanged, Smoker began the pursuit of Luffy with a small group, today the East Sea Klick Pirates were annihilated, Buggy’s Pirates were missing, leaving no pirates requiring specific attention from him.

Although the Sixteenth and Eighth Divisions suffered severe damage, it was still within tolerable range.

And Yamato, who caused a huge commotion, is now preparing to leave the East Sea.

The Thousand-Year Dragon group has returned to Ghost Island’s dwelling place, leaving only that Corviknight to continue as a transport tool.

During this period, Yamato tried to follow the Thousand-Year Dragon’s description to find places that might have plates.

However, the times were too ancient, and the maps didn’t match, so she began planning to find a professional to handle it.

Although she could use Rotom for remote communication, it would deprive many fun parts, so she chose a face-to-face talk.

”So hard to find, where in the world did that Red Nose Pirates run off to?”

”It’s not Red Nose, it’s Buggy’s Pirates, don’t randomly go renaming people, okay.”

”It’s all the same, I heard that guy was once Red Hair’s brother, and Roger’s crew member, so their strength should be similar, it could be interesting.”

Yamato didn’t mind Ulti’s correction, in her eyes, it was all the same, as Red Hair’s brother, naming his pirate group after his trademark feature was reasonable too.

”How could pirates of that strength still hang around the East Sea, every ship has its flaws, don’t get hung up on these things, that guy’s hiding somewhere anyway.”

”True, this note was indeed accurate, that guy’s luck is kind of good.”

In the intelligence column about Buggy obtained from the Hundred Beasts, there was a particularly odd entry - luck outrageously good, she could only use this reason to explain why she couldn’t find the person.

Reportedly it wasn’t just Colonel Mouse who complained, Buggy was also on that list, but Mouse was the Navy Base’s base commander, easy to locate, but Buggy was different.

The Navy couldn’t find Yamato roaming the East Sea, and Yamato equally couldn’t find the bizarrely disappeared Buggy.

Knock, knock, knock.

”Come in...”

A sudden knocking sound came to her ears, Yamato casually said come in, then realized she was in the sky, and Corviknight hadn’t attacked this person, more precisely, it wasn’t a person at all.

When Yamato turned to look, a yellow naive creature was flying outside the Corviknight taxi, with a postal delivery mark on its chest bag, holding a special envelope in hand, sealed with a fire lacquer emblem modeled after the Hundred Beasts Pirate Flag.

”Huh?”

...

Corviknight temporarily landed on a nearby island, and the other party handed the envelope to Yamato.

”Are you... a new Pokemon created by my foster father?”

Yamato could confirm, she hadn’t seen such a Pokemon before leaving Ghost Island, this was clearly a newly emerged Pokemon in this period.

”Woo.”

It confirmed her suspicion and handed over the envelope, it was a test run regarding the upcoming internal courier service idea of the Hundred Beasts.

Radio Snail and Rotom can meet telecommunication needs, but some things must be delivered physically, the unique environmental restrictions limited transport, compared to ships, flying was much quicker.

The former motto of the Hundred Beasts was to sail leisurely when free, and seek Zeraora when in a hurry.

The sea had recently become more unstable, and Zeraora couldn’t keep up, after all, his primary occupation wasn’t a courier, to enhance the connections between islands, a new breed of couriers had emerged on the sea.

As implied, the most crucial aspects of delivery are speed and safety, and Dragonite perfectly fit this role.

Dragonite’s body is entirely orange, with a pair of long slender antennae and a small horn on its head.

It sports a pair of relatively small wings on its back, despite being a Dragon Type Pokemon, it looks clumsy and cute, often affectionately nicknamed ”Chubby” due to some peculiar translators.

Yet beneath this exterior lay immense strength.

Dragonite possesses intelligence equivalent to humans, capable of performing nearly any human activity, with systematic training, coding wouldn’t be out of its reach.

As a Pokemon from the very first generation, whenever the Pokemon world expanded, its flight speed improved as well, records state that Dragonite could circle the globe in merely sixteen hours.

Capitalizing on their speed, Dragonite could achieve the ”within an hour delivery” within the Hundred Beasts’ territories, and in wartime, allow rapid reinforcements.

Besides this speed, Dragonite boasts enormous prowess, crossing through stormy seas undeterred, suiting the New World’s oceanic conditions.

This was a trial operation, once affirmed it functions without issues, Dragonite’s operations would initiate within the Hundred Beasts’ islands, connecting each island closely.

At this point, Dragonite pulled out a little notebook from its pouch, signaling for Yamato to acknowledge receipt.
