Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 871: Chapter 870: They’re All Blue, Who Else Could It Be but Jinbe?

”You people really know how to cause trouble for others.”

After the warship arrived, the silver‑haired Tsuru walked down from the ship. Looking at Sanjuan Wolf, who was lying in the sea with only his nose sticking out, there was a hint of disgust on her face.

Tsuru deeply despised the World Government for dragging out such a dangerous guy for experiments and even letting him escape. This kind of act was completely incompatible with the ”pure justice” she believed in.

But there was nothing she could do. As a Navy of the same generation as Sengoku and Garp, Tsuru now looked very old; at least compared to Sengoku and Garp, her face was noticeably more weathered.

Back in her youth, she had also been the belle of the Navy.

The way things were now had a lot to do with how much she had to worry about. As the chief strategist of Navy Headquarters, the burden on her shoulders was heavy.

”Vice Admiral Tsuru, sorry to trouble you.”

These CP Agents might carry themselves arrogantly toward the Seven Warlords of the Sea, but they were extremely respectful to Tsuru. Although nowadays Tsuru mostly just handled documents from various sides and worked out countermeasures, no one dared underestimate this woman.

The strength gap among Headquarter Vice Admirals was huge, and Tsuru was undoubtedly at the very top. There weren’t many Vice Admirals who could make Doflamingo treat them like venomous snakes, and Tsuru was one of them. In strength, seniority, connections, or prestige, she was on a level these ordinary agents couldn’t touch.

”Couldn’t you have figured out a way to make this guy cooperate on his own? It’s a pain to keep doing it like this.”

”If he could cooperate, we wouldn’t have to go through all this trouble. But you don’t need to worry, Vice Admiral. By orders from above, they won’t be using this guy for anything after this, and you won’t need to handle him anymore.”

”Honestly, at my age I still have to deal with this kind of crap.”

Following the gangplank, Tsuru walked to Sanjuan Wolf’s side and then activated her ability, successfully washing him into clothing.

She was the user of the Paramecia-type: Wash-Wash Fruit.

She could turn people and objects into clothes, wash them, and hang them out to dry. Tsuru could wash anything, whether it was a living creature or an inanimate object.

The washed objects and people would lose their original form and become like freshly sun‑dried clothes. Even their minds would be temporarily cleansed, and washed living beings would lose their strength and be unable to move freely.

Sanjuan Wolf’s size was enormous and he naturally wouldn’t cooperate with the Navy’s actions, so some external force was needed. Tsuru’s ability could reduce trouble in the escort process to the greatest extent and also stuff an uncooperative Sanjuan Wolf into a much smaller space.

After being washed by Tsuru’s ability, Sanjuan Wolf turned into a flattened, clothing‑like creature.

Then the Soldiers on board skillfully rolled him up with the anchor winch and finally folded him into a neat little block like tofu, stuffing him into the transport ship.

This was how they got Sanjuan Wolf out. After all, with him not cooperating, ordinary methods could not restrain this guy. Even his handcuffs were specially made; forging that piece of Seastone Handcuffs had taken quite a bit of effort.

The location of New Fishman Island wasn’t very far from Marinfanto; it was just separated by the Red Earth Continent. If they weren’t trying to cover up the scandal, they could have mobilized forces to deal with Evil Wolf a long time ago.

But if they wanted to quickly resolve Evil Wolf, the most effective method was to dispatch a Headquarter Admiral. Unfortunately, all of them had their own missions, and moving them rashly might expose this scandal. In the eyes of the World Government, the newly built island of the Fishman Race wasn’t worth much, so they didn’t send support.

Only after Jinbe and Tiger dealt with Evil Wolf did they send in the cleanup crew.

And after Tsuru and the others left, the World Government’s agents did not withdraw. Cleanup didn’t just mean transporting Evil Wolf away; they also had to handle other issues, such as partial ”compensation” regarding the attack.

In most cases, the World Government didn’t bother with this kind of thing. The lawless Non-Adhering Countries went without saying; even if you were an adhering nation, if you got attacked by pirates you’d just have to swallow the loss. Want compensation? Fine, go find that pirate yourself, don’t come to us.

But Evil Wolf was a criminal whom the World Government wanted to erase from the record and secretly use. If ordinary people ran their mouths a bit, it didn’t matter; it wasn’t credible anyway.

But if Jinbe or the Dragon Palace Kingdom spoke up in the capacity of a Seven Warlords of the Sea or an adhering nation, and Morgans, who feared no trouble, published it, the World Government would lose face.

Rather than calling it compensation, it was more accurate to say it was hush money.

This matter wasn’t difficult. The decision‑makers of the Dragon Palace Kingdom were still Otohime and Neptune, and right now they needed to maintain a friendly relationship with the World Government, even if only on the surface.

This was something Tiger and Jinbe both agreed with. At the moment, what these agents cared more about was the strength of the Fishman Race.

There were no simple characters among the LV.6 heavy criminals, and Sanjuan Wolf ranked among the stronger ones in that group. Yet the Fishman Race seemed to have dealt with him without spending much time.

Other than Wadatsumi’s support, they hadn’t clearly seen who else had joined the attack.

To avoid being caught up in the aftershocks of Evil Wolf’s battle, they had stayed very far away and had only seen one Jinbe.

The system of the Seven Warlords of the Sea existed to balance the ever‑increasing number of pirates. Although the personalities of the Seven Warlords of the Sea differed, and some even sought the position with special ulterior motives, they all possessed terrifying strength.

Even if they themselves weren’t that strong, they commanded a very powerful force under them.

For these Seven Warlords of the Sea, the World Government, while not interfering with what they did day to day, did need to know their exact capabilities.

Even though they had joined the Seven Warlords of the Sea, this bunch were still pirates; you never knew when they might stab you in the back.

If Fishman Island had a Fishman stronger than Jinbe, then this power had to be reassessed.

”By the way, that Fishman was blue too, right?”

”Yeah, why?”

”Then it should be Jinbe. I haven’t heard of any other Fishman in the Sun Pirates with that kind of strength.”

”You kidding me? How can you make that call so casually? At least go ask around first.”

Investigating these minority races wasn’t easy for CP Agents. They could pose as other people, but they couldn’t impersonate a Fur Race or Fishman identity—unless they also had an Arceus behind them.

Moreover, Fishman Island had always been a troublesome place in the eyes of the World Government, and some of them didn’t want to waste time there.

Although some agents were sloppy in their work, under the insistence of their teammates they still conducted a certain level of reconnaissance, such as entering Fishman Island to gather intelligence. But aside from Jinbe, they found no information about a second powerful blue Fishman.

So they reported upward according to their original assumption.

Meanwhile, on Fishman Island, Jinbe also brought Tiger a new piece of news.

”Big Bro Tai, you guessed right. Someone is indeed digging into your information. But why did you suspect that in the first place?”

”It’s nothing, I just picked up a little something over there.”
